Yes rubber bands or bobbin pins. Your hair turned out very pretty. Sometimes just putting a little cream on the ends might give a more wave turn out. But it looks really pretty
I love your adventurous spirit! I usually braid first and then I wrap it around and tuck. I had to dampen my hair in sections because I my hair would never hold a pattern or curl without the water. They hold better if they are in medium to small sections.
Thank you. I've always wanted to try bantu knots but had never taken the time to stretch my hair to do it. Glad I tried it, but it probably won't be something I do often. Thanks for sharing how you do yours; it gives people in the comments another option to choose from. Thanks for tuning in.
I couldn't wait until my Saturday self-care day for this one 😊. It looks wonderful. You did a great job! Fyi..you can oil the rubber bands in a little oil to insure it doesn't snag your hair.
Thank you. Yeah, I had a time sleeping in them. Since I only had 7 of them, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been had I had more in. Thanks for watching!
hi rae 🤗 bantu knots are one of my favorite hairstyles. can't wait to see the results. its gloomy here too, but im taking the opportunity to work on my garden. i'll do my hair this week. i may practice off camera before trying bantu knots for the channel. i have a hair dryer, but may not have arms left after trying to dry my hair. 😂🤣 i normally do them on wet/damp hair, but that's probably one reason why they don't stay. maybe i should try rubberbands. of course we stick with you. tfs
I should have practiced more off camera because I had a time with that first one for sure. I knew I didn't want to do bantu knots on damp or wet hair because they would've taken entirely too long to dry, so I opted to do it on blown out hair. I washed my hair and braided it in large braids and let it dry some overnight. Then I blow dried it the rest of the way dry so it didn't take long at all. What are you going to have in your garden this year?
Your hair is so beautiful! I love the way it looked when you just took down the bantu knots then I ❤the way it looked separated as well as when you combed through it. At first, when you started combing, I was like 😮nooo! But the results are stunning. I will have to try this for a Valentines hairstyle. Thanks for sharing!
Great bantu knot out! Your hair looked great! I love the fluffy fullness and definition! I have some of that defining cream, I think I'll try this style! Thanks for sharing!
Your results tuned out nice, love the fullness. I tried it one time years ago and I did like the fullness and the wave look I got. Will have to try that again. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Pulled into a ponytail and put on a bonnet or you could always pin curl it, bantu it again or put in flexirods. Whatever it takes to give it more waves when they start to leave.
@naturalraerae. Just a few more bantu knots. Like you said one at the top for height. Remember the ENDS are key add defining cream to ends. Bobby pins are good to hold knots. You picked it out a lot. But still was very pretty. Thank you. I love watching beautiful woman do there hair. Ideas. Inspiration.
Thank you. I had a trim and that is why it was hard for my ends to stay tucked. I ended up having to use rubber bands to keep the knots together. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much 😊 I should've left it alone instead of keep combing at it. Next time, I'll just let it fall on its own. Thanks for tuning in.
🙌🏾I love seeing you try new styles! I fell I love w/ Bantu knots a few yrs ago. They’re just so uncomfortable to sleep in. Yours came out SO pretty!!
Thank you. Yeah, I had a time sleeping in them. Since I only had 7 of them, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been had I had more in. Thanks for watching!

Very pretty. My question is how long did it last? Good style idea for an event without having to use a curling iron.
Thank you. It lasted 2 days before I felt like I wanted to two strand twist it to keep it stretched.
