Unique got promoted because he could act. Joe and that Irish guy couldn't really fit into the cast. The same way how Kitty managed to stay for the last season because she, out of everyone was liked by fans because of her storyline.

I think Glee did a mistake there. This show got a part of its success by the originality of the caracters and how interesting they write them to be. Joe is really unique, like the others with his dreads and Jesus obsession. And yet, they hired Marley, or Ryder and they're just... normal. They don't really ''fit'' in here. I think Joe had great potential. Too bad... and thet kept the boring ones. (sigh)

Burak Yel I think the NY part is really fun, but Lima is just doing the same think over and over again. I think going NY full time could be good for the show. As I was sayin' about the caracters, each one of them was so unique and you grew to love Rachel over the years even though she was freaking selfish. Now, Marley just got.... nothing! Gahh... I hate those newbies. Except Unique, because she's... unique, duhh! XD And Kitty because she's just so bitch. ahah.
Amélie Sirois you may have a point about Lima but i also hate the new Kurt. I can see them grown also as characters but glee gives nothing to learn anymore. For instance, i am gay and i learnt a lot of from Kurts character in Ohio but now i can not find myself on him. And the new rachels and santanas characters also don't include the things most of us have been through. :(
Burak Yel Oh, ok. But think about it that way; Kurt is a strong caracter and I think the writers wanted to show us a kid who struggled to be who he is and now, is a strong, independant adult. I think we can still relate to him in the sense that he didn't let the others bring him down. There's so much of gay people who commit suicide and didn't even pass 18. With him being in NY, it shows people that it gets better. I wouldn't want him to struggle with himself for the rest of his life but being finally happy and comfortable in his own skin gives hope to others who still got bullied. And Rachel and Santana, well, they grow up and there's a lot of caracters' development in 5 seasons! :O
And I think the show still gives something to learn. Not as much as before, but still. I quiet love Unique's storyline about being a transgender.

Joe was obviously written for Cameron. It seemed like Ryan was ready to send Samuel home on The Glee Project, as he called Hannah the show. Then Samuel mentioned he was Christian, and Ryan said he really did want to write a Christian character. All of the sudden "The show" was sent home, and Samuel went on to the next week.
