Knaresborough Bed Race Parade Preparations

The preparations for the annual Knaresborough Bed Race parade take place in the grounds of Knaresborough Castle. The theme in 2019 was Yorkshire. The event has two part. First a parade of "beds" through the town decorated for a particular theme. Second, a madcap time trial race through the streets of Knaresborough with teams of 6 runners and one rider, finishing with a crossing of the River Nidd.
