Somerset Levels - the Floods of Jan 2023

Once again, 'the levels' are underwater bringing misery to local residents and to farmers.
On the day of filming, the main road from Taunton to Glastonbury was closed. You will see the waters have broken over a low ridge and pour across the road onto a lower area, yet the main-line railway is still operational, as a train passes on its way to London.
At the end of the film, the River Tone's banks are visible as black lines in a silver landscape; a house sadly isolated by the flood-plain waters.
