- Christians can often struggle with the topic of spiritual gifts. What are they? And how do we know if we have them? Can a Christian have multiple spiritual gifts, and perhaps most importantly, how do we know which ones we have? All that and more explained in this video!

When I was watching this, only a few matched with me. Like I can preach. Alone, in my head. And get filled with the only spirit, put I can't speak infront of others. But, I do believe that I have a spiritual gift of music.
Story time
When I was around 7 (I'm 12 now) I went to a Christian school. My friends and I where the worship team. We would always race to be worship leader, and one that I was, I felt the Lord. Every one joined in, I was playing songs,singing my heart out, I was even singing a song I never learned. I was filled up with the only spirit! And just a few minutes ago I was crying singing a new song creating the lyrics as I go. The chorus goes something like this: ♪Lord you are my Soul... My heart, my flesh and bones, you made me, so use me, however you see fit, I can't do anything... Without you by my side! Lord I will love you till the day that I die!♪

I am a 14-year-old, and this video has really helped me.
A few weeks ago, I remember asking God to reveal to me if I have the gift of love (which I now know is mercy), and five minutes later, as I was walking up the stairs to my house's porch, I looked down and saw a downy feather (it's really small, and easy to overlook) that had a PERFECT simetrical heart on the bottom. I have been thinking about it, and I believe that God was saying yes, He has given me the gift of mercy.

I remember seeing a story online, where someone was at work and asked God a question, and didnt get an answer, and after a couple minutes a man with a shirt that said 'nope' all over it walked in. God works in mysterious ways

You’re still young, you still have time to question these absurd beliefs. I promise you, you don’t have a “spiritual gift”. Everything described in this video are personality traits determined by both genetics and your upbringing. Yes of course some people will be more merciful than others because not all humans are the same. But to say it’s a supernatural gift is just hyperbolizing what a personality trait is

Thank you for making this video. I am disabled in many ways and am still unsure what all is causing my ailments and lately I've felt so useless to the people around me. I've felt like I can't do anything worthwhile, but watching this video brought to my memory many times God has used many different types of spiritual gifts within me and I heard Him say to me "You are full of my favor". He said it twice. I'm very overwhelmed and grateful to have seen Him and heard Him through this video. -someone who feels a little more confident in my identity in Jesus

I'm also chronicaly sick, even though probably not so much as you, I still suffered much because false diagnosis and therefore decades of wrong therapy. God did not only safe my spiritual life (by geting a place in heaven for my soul) but also my earth life as I have had a serious depresion ages 16 to 18. My gift is probably Evangelism, even though my methods are a bit archaic, the "You hesitate in living your life to Jesus? I can't belife you, don't tell me you consider wanting not to be in heaven!" (feel free using this quote tho) Style. But Exhortation can't be it, even if my own soul-shattering, traumatizing experience to compfort others, but my disable-ity specificly prevents me from using the right words for or against people and makes almost all other Gifts imposible, as they require leadership or ability to understand contemporary people or even the historic people who wrote the Bible. And I'm de facto blind for all feelings except of my own.

As a 12 year old Christian, this video really gave me a different perspective of these gifts. While I was watching the list of gifts. I felt sad. I had thoughts in my head like "What if im not doing enough? What if im not good enough" I felt like I was about to tear up because I thought I wasn't worthy of a gift, until the gift of mercy came up. It really descibes me, I felt really drawn to it. The gift of exhortation descibes me too but im not sure. Ill ask in my prayers about this. I never really thought about this topic often. Thank you for the new perspective on this!!!
I had the same thing as you! Until Exhortation came i like comforting people if there sad but im not sure btw please dont doubt if ur not good enough! Everyone is good and ur also good thats why God loves you!

God desires you to have spiritual gifts more than you desire to have them! Pray for one or two spiritual gifts that you like, from Jesus, and see what happens! You're still young, so you haven't accumulated as many as older people. You might end up getting more gifts than you can realistically use. God bless you.

don't worry abt gifts. worry abt salvation. know the gospel, grow as a Christian, love Jesus more each day, & pray about it. Then you'll see your gifts. Gifts come after
I think i may have the gift of discerning spirits. Whenever a bad thought comes, i can immediately sense it as the enemy, and i can tell the presence of the Holy Spirit from the enemys presence! Its incredible ❤

@@Blessedandfavored7 well, there are lots of stories! I think I can discern the holy spirit between Evil spirits, like, for instance, you can feel the holy spirits presence any time of the day! But sometimes I feel a different presence that is opposite to the Holy spirit, it doesn't feel welcoming. It feels very dark. It's hard to explain.
Bad thoughts can come too. like any Christian has bad thoughts, you can send them away in Jesus name. But some thoughts could be selfish, or even from what the enemy wants me to think, and I recognize it too! and so i immediately realize what ive thought, and what God would want, and that it is not his desire to think those things, so i send them away in his name, and ask forgiveness, he is so merciful! God has given me a gift that's so humbling, Praise him he is So good! ♡
The gift of discerning spirits is usually for the betterment of the church. This gift can help you not only in church but also in your personal life.
Discerning Spirits usually involves dealing / seeing when others are deceiving, demonic, etc.
Be careful with this gift. Remember that Satan is very cunning and is the father of lies and deception

I think God's gifts go even further. Even animals know the truth. Proverbs 12:10 says, “The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” Kindness to animals is godly. In fact, caring for them is part of our purpose.
i just turned 18, and ever since i started my spiritual journey at 16 and finally started serving at my church. i have noticed that there are other youth that have been seeing my example and following me. so i think i have the gift of leading! the last summer i got baptised and learned the drums to play for my church’s worship group and since then i also became the new youth group leader. the pastor personally went to the youth and asked them who would be a good leader, and they said me!(i had taught and brought them lessons before). i will continue to pray that God uses me in amazing ways and if my gift is to lead other youth to a path with God then i am more than willing to.

Same here. 💞The minute I saw Mercy come on the screen, my heart knew that was my gift. It explains a lot, why I am the way I am.
I also think I have the gift of Discerning Spirits. Maybe the two go hand in hand, as those seeking help are not always genuine - so you definitely need discernment.
Maybe it's just like this with all gifts - if someone truly has the gift, they will know without a doubt. I'm excited to now read more comments to see how others realized their gifts!

We did not and can not earn them, we must be careful not to get self righteous and except any praise from men, the bible says all glory belongs to God and him alone

After seeking God through his word daily, coming together with other believers, and constantly praying to align myself with God's will over my own, he has manifested the gift of distinguishing spirits to me in an incredibly supernatural way. I just completed a Victory weekend event at my church and delighted in the Lord, and I had decided to fast indefinitely until God shows me what is in my next season.
That night I went to bed, only to awaken to a dim light lingering around me. I was instantly afraid, as this light didn't reflect off anything in my pitch black room. I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face, but I very clearly and distinctly saw 2 large shadows in the room. Without thinking, fear left my body and I rebuked them until they shrunk down and disappeared. The dim lingering light faded away after that and I instantly wept.
After reading scripture for 30 min or so, it was clear to me the an Angel had protected me from the spirits that manifest in Pornography and masturbation, as I was an addict for nearly 17 years. I hold no desires to indulge in sexual immorality anymore, because the Lord has made a home in my heart.

Sorry but no you don't. Prophecy was a gift given to a few good men of God because the people did not yet have the scriptures. Now that the Bible has been completed a very long time ago there is no need for prophets. Prophets were used by God to speak the people and write the Bible. Nobody is given prophecy anymore

As a 22 years old i dont have any of the other gift like speaking of tongues or healing or those supernatural gifts . But ever since i was so little i have emphaty for the poor . Like people who are homeless , abandond children etc . I dont kbow its a gift until ive watch this video . No womder i felt strong feelings i have to help those i pass .

I felt guilty that I didn't feel empathy when i was really new since it never really exercised . I'm talking to our fellow sister in Christ and i compared myself to her because shes kind gentle and very selfless etc. I wanted to have that too . And i actually told her because i wanted to be honest . But as learn more from her especially learn from the bible and talking to her , shes correcting my every move even tho i. I feel so prideful at times but i controlled myself and prayed I don't want pride in my life shes just correcting me as a big sister in Christ. That's when i saw myself really getting into it . And really understand the love letter of the Lord ( His word ) has a huge impact in my attitude and my mind has been renewed .
@rhiko7 I don't know how old you are, or how much life experience you have. But empathy is a skill, and life experiences can be seen as transferrable skills. For example: Have you ever been bullied in school, or failed a test you studied hard for? The same feelings are experienced by others when they're in toxic work environments, or if they develop a business and still lose their investment. The stakes are different. Maybe intensified by other life stressors. But the basic feelings are the same.
That's all empathy is. Understanding where a person is coming from, even if you've not been in the exact same boat. It's very useful, and builds bridges between people who may have nothing else in common.
But it requires some reflection on both your own experiences as well as those of the people you meet.
Mercy is a bit more complicated than empathy. So let's start with empathy. Mercy and empathy are tied. When you get good at one, the other will be easier.
Don't feel guilty for starting from scratch. Many people are taken advantage of because their empathy isn't balanced with discernment. And discernment requires a bit of emotional distance.

may I ask what languages (tongues) are you gifted with?
I ask this because there's a group/sect that thinks babbling is a gift of tongue. They would even say it's the language of angels, or a language that only the Spirit could tell. Don't be fooled by such. The gift of tongue is given to bridge the communication gap whenever the Spirit works on a person to receive the gospel, hence enabling the evangelist to speak the other's language. To ascertain if one who babbles has a true gift of tongue, the Spirit gives to another the gift of Interpretation. If there's no interpretation, then the other is just speaking on assumption to impress others he has the Spirit by the gift of tongue (which that sect heavily uses to market their religion). For analogy, the gift of healing is ascertained if one can miraculously heal a sick, hence the validity of the tongue is also served the same way for its intended purpose. If you are a 'Pentecostal' I would understand if you are offended by this.

What you call "babbling" is actually called an 'Unknown tongue' and is scriptural (but this version is used for praying alone).
1 Corinthians 14:2 (For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.)
And YES the Spirit does understand it.. and praying in an unknown tongue (if you're born again) is also called 'Praying in the Spirit':
1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.)
And yes praying in an unknown tongue is beneficial as it does Edify:
1 Corinthians 14:4 (He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.)
However, is Unknown tongues as described above the full gift of tongues? NO. The full gift of tongues entails also the version that other men (of the specific language spoken) can understand, or that those with the Gift of the Interpretation of Tongues can interpret. But this does not mean that praying in an unknown tongue (a.k.a praying in the spirit) is invalid (as seen in the above scriptures).
But it also does not mean that those who pray in tongues can say that they have received the 'full gift of tongues'.
For example, we all have faith (as Christians), Christianity itself is built on faith: (Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.); yet there is a gift called 'The Gift of Faith'. Does that mean that all those who do not walk in that dimension of faith do not have faith? But does that also mean that we all have the gift of faith because we all have faith?
While I understand where you're coming from; I write this to establish balance.
Praying in tongues is scriptural, but it can not be claimed as the full gift of tongues if that is the only dimension wherein you use it (in prayers).

One of my friends has the gift of tongues and says that sometimes when she's praying, she starts speaking in tongues and it freaks out her neighbors (since we're online friends I haven't witnessed it myself, but I have no reason to doubt her). Also, a few years ago, some of our missionary friends in Africa witnessed a Miracle of Multiplied Macaroni.

I believe I have been gifted with the gift of service. Most other people I know irk at the thought of doing manual labor. But I can feel God’s presence with me when I am able to help others in this fashion. Glory be to God! ✝️❤️

My old church would tell us that we need to possess all spiritual gifts in order to be a good representation of Christ. It brought so much confusion about what my purpose is and I beat myself up for it but this video clarified so many questions I had and I’m thankful I ran into this
I'm glad you have been freed from that confusion, because we aren't supposed to have all the gifts. Here are some more verses about it:

If you still sin without feeling bad or not wanting to change even a bit it’s not a good sign. Do I feel like anything has changed? When you trust God you’ll slowly learn to give all your burdens to him and this is gonna be tough but it takes time. For it took a while for the joy and peace to kick in. Do you have a *personal* relationship with God? Outside of church do you talk to him and tell him things and treat him as someone personal?

Thankyou for the insight! I agree spiritual gifts are important. As Christians, we must be aware of our spiritual gifts in order to understand God's calling for us.
However, as written in Matthew 7:21-23, false believers can also perform miracles and display spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts are not a sign of genuine faith, but the Fruit of the Spirit is a sign of genuine faith. It is given by God, and can be taken away.
Thus, it is important to pray, be vigilant and avoid the trap of glorifying spiritual gifts and thinking that they are better / more spiritual than others (Hebrews 6:4-6).
I have discernment. Since I was very young I could "feel" people's intentions. Before a pastor friend told me I had discernment, I would say that I could look at a person and know what "motivates" them. I could tell if they were good, bad, afraid, shy, deeply hurting, etc. I could look at a person and tell what they intended to do. I dare say I can now tell when people are under the control of the demonic. Their faces, their body movements, even their chat messages scream out to me. Sometimes it exhausts me. I would do this "party trick" for my friends where I would look at a picture of their other friends (total strangers to me) and I could describe what each person was like.

I work as a mechanic, and I've helped a lot of people in my church with car repairs.
A mechanic knows more than anyone, that a car repair is expensive. For some of my church members/family, a car repair bill can mean the difference between eating, keeping the lights on, water running, etc.
And for them, I fix their cars on my own private time for a very low price, or if they really can't pay, I do it for free or a free meal.
i think there are some other spiritual gifts that some people also may have, like the gift of Worship, used by people who have the ability to sing, or worship the Lord from very specific ways. Craftsmanship is the gift of plan and build with your hands, things that glorify God or help ministries. and another one would be Encouragement, which is kinda like Exhortation too. love your video! your content is such a blessing ❤🔥
One way to see it could be that worship is the gift tongues and discernment of tongues - as tongues is about communication. Taking the word of God and ministering through voice (or sound or even movement) are a way of sharing God's message in a way that would have been static and makes it dynamic.

My dad is an apostle. My mom is a prophet and i believe she has the spirit of exhortation. She believes that I might get the spirit of prophecy or healing. I believe that is might be healing because ever since I was younger (3yso) I was sick, but I prayed every day to be healed. One day (4th grade) I realised that I was not coughing, sneezing or having a block/runny nose. My life is a testimony all thanks to God.

Interesting claim. Apostles are quite the unique group. I was raised in a Catholic Church and we were repeatedly taught there were only 12 Apostles.
One day, studying the scriptures with my wife, we were reading through Luke and chapter 9 discusses the original 12 called to be His Apsotles. Then in Luke chapter 10, there were 72 "others" sent out (sent by Jesus) to heal the sick and preach the nearness of the Kingdom Of God. That in totality would be 84 documented Apostles.
I learned over the years that the Scriptures teach specific things about Apostles. They are ones who are sent (directly by Jesus) and witnessed His life, ministry, death , burial and ressurection. They could perform at will miraculous signs and wonders. The Scriptures warn of false Apostles. The Didache also warns of false Apostles and signs that one is not.
One doesn't ask for money. Ever.

I’m 14 but I think I have the gift of wisdom because my friends compliment me and ask me for advice and I always giving advice that use the word of God I’m so grateful ❤
I think I have the gift of mercy. For my entire life, no matter where I go, I have attached myself to the kids who were bullied, outcast and friendless. If I saw someone sitting alone there was no way I wasn't sitting with them too. I've been yelled at, laughed at, and made fun of for the people I spend time with. I've been told by my family to 'pick better friends.' But no matter what, I always somehow end up with those who are struggling. Quite often these individuals will try to manipulate me or don't care about me as I care about them. That's okay. I think just being a positive presence in somebody's life can make a huge difference.
I took two spiritual gifts test (one at my church and one through a ministry) I learned that I definitely have the gift of exhortation and I also realized I have the gift of teaching. God actually told my mother when I was born that I would be a teacher.

Well the important part is to first develop that relationship with The heavenly Father aka God Almighty than ask him for his Holy Spirit then Get Baptized if you actually want to follow his path, he will know if you are true from your heart, then you ask the Heavenly Father for a gift from the Holy Spirit, you say which one and then you will see if you have it or not later on, for example I prayed for wisdom and from that point i had a bunch of different vids about God show up in my youtube recommended at the perfect timing that didn’t just help me with my situation but also i found answers to my friends questions and different things they were going through, then i prayed for self control and I had gotten that cause anytime something annoying or upsetting would happen to me, it would start making me annoyed but i would have that little voice in my mind saying “Remember Self Control”, now i dont know if we could have all the Gifts or not since i prayed for discernment and haven’t gotten it yet or God is waiting for us to grow in the Spirit in order to be ready for the rest of the gifts
Well if you feel like you are not good at any gifts, you may be feeling that sense that your a sinner, thats how i was when i first started on the right path with God, i still know i’m a sinner but i got up and started praying for myself even though i know i am not worthy of prayer

I've been praying to God what he wants me to do. But watching this I think I have discovered my gift, and I'd been using it not realising what I've been doing. It makes sense why I am a support worker and why I was drawn to do this work. I work with people who have mental health problems. I have been talking and comforting people who have had terminal illnesses, talking and comforting and giving strength to families who have lost loved ones. I will pray about this more. It's why I didn't know, it just came naturally to me, just thought it was my personality. Praise God!!
This was so enlightening and confirming! I feel like just by what people been saying about me since childhood and throughout my life that I have the gift of discernment and leadership. I think God for answering my prayers and opening my eyes with this confirmation. When I rededicated my life back to Christ 2020 -2021, I notice the Holy spirit in me heighten these gifts in me to the point that they were flowing so hard, I can now seen through leadership some of my friends started to take their spiritual walk with Christ more seriously just by my testimony and my switch of lifestyle. Discernment, is another one where I can really see and notice red flags easily through experiences and the holy spirit which also comes hand to hand with gaining wisdom. There is of course a lot more work God is doing in me but I thank you for him answering my prayers as a first step to understanding my gifts. Its now time to deep dive and learn how that align with my purpose in life.
I was given the gift of discernment for sure. We took spiritual gifts test at church once and it helped but they also enocuraged us to let The Church Body tell us and pray. With the gift of discernment I have come to realize a couple of companion gifts may be needed like mercy, exhortation, and service to compliment this gifts potential. That gift of Discerning Spirits was really cool to hear. I am confident that I have been given this gift, which truly terrified me when I was younger. Now it is pretty chill since I've gotten used to sensing (?) and seeing demonic presences/entities.

Discerning spirits doesn't mean physically seen a ghost or evil.
Discern - perceive or recognize (something).
It means you can tell whether the word of God comes from the Holy Spirit or it's from the enemy/the world. You can tell the difference, for example you can see through the false prophet that deceive others. And you have to point out that it is not from God.
I fall under giving, helps, & service. I LOVE helping others & giving to them even if it’s my last. If I can help someone else & make them happy, it’s always worth it❤
After watching this, it made me think that I might really have the gift of interpretation of tongue and discerning spirits. Maybe a part of it comes from experience as well, but I have always been labelled as "odd" since I was a child. I remember the adult's around me saying that I do too well with adult conversations but deep inside I could just tell what or how they're going to act, that didn't happen much tho since I've never really liked talking with people that I'm not very comfortable with. I don't know what to call it but they give off a certain aura that just screams to me that they're this kind of person, and of course, I just kept it to myself because even as a child, I understood what they would think of me if I said my thoughts out loud, and after Learning more about someone, they really do turn out like the first impressions I've had of them, so it was easy for me to find my people except when persistent people that I didn't like kept on trying to build some sort of connection with me, (which happens quite a lot).
Also the interpretation of tongue, I did knew I had this but it also surprises me at times, like the multiple times that a classmate of mine who's a part of an ethnic community in my country spoke in their language with another classmate of mine. Of course I know nothing about the language but I remember smiling while she was talking because somehow, I could tell what it is about, so I just told my other classmate about what it was while laughing, and I remember my classmate who was speaking her tribe's language having a very shocked face and asked how did I know exactly what she said. There were a lot of times when something like that happened to me, but this one is the most recent.
I have always been a relatively forgiving person and one that understands people. Poor or rich, sad or happy. Angry at me or not. I struggle to hold frustration or anger towards a person. I believe my gift is the gift of Mercy. It would be cool to preform miracles but honestly, I’m thankful to my heavily father for giving me such a mercy to show the love of God to others.

Good explanation. One thing I would add and change is that whether we are aware of it or not, we are all offspring of God and in Him we live and move and have our being. We all died with Him in His crucifixion, and we were all begotten again in and by His resurrection.
As such in reality we were all gifted by God before time began, and in time/space, at the resurrection of Christ, and in experience, when we begin believing and receiving and walking in the life and gifts He has given us.
This can be clearly seen when one looks back through their lives. The gifts of the Spirit were operating from physical birth and recognized and discovered as one grows and matures both naturally and spiritually.
Father, Son and Spirit are so far above and beyond what we have begun to imagine.

I know that this is late, but I’m pretty sure this is part of the gift of Mercy. People could do the worst possible thing to me and they could say “sorry” and I would forgive them. It’s always been easy to forgive those who have wronged me or see how that person hurt me because I know that they were hurt.
In the start of my Christian journey I had the gift of prophecy, now thanks to our Lord Jesus, I have the gifts of supernatural faith and exhortation.

I’ve been hearing about these gifts for a while and I finally decided to watch a video on them. Now I’ve been in the process of learning several different languages, trying to speak them when I’m alone and unsure if I’m really saying anything. But until I’m sure, I believe God gave me the gift of tongues and I should start using this gift for the Churches’ purpose.

I'm 16 years old and serve a lot in my church community, including leading kids and jr high students, so it was really important for me to figure this out. I believe I have the gifts of Admin, Word of wisdom (although i already knew that as my mom had told me lol), service or helps, and potentially mercy. When I was young, my great grandfather was in the hospital. He went mute a while beforehand and he was in rough shape. One day when I was there visiting with family, I suddenly had this warm feeling come over me and spoke the words “Great grandpa. You’re going to Heaven and be with great grandma in two days” … and two days later, he passed peacefully in his sleep. My Grandma and I are certain that was the lord speaking through me that day

Regarding discernment:
It’s definitely not ONLY for recognizing demonic spirits. God’s angels can also be discerned! Definitely true on the teaching part!
I don't think many people know this but anyone can have any and every gift of the Holy Spirit. the Bible doesnt says you can only have one gift and no other. This means that if you find yourself with multiple gifts you're not weird, you're completely okay. In fact every Christian should thrive to have all the gifts. The most important thing to keep in mind is if you want to have the gift, is that you must exercise the gift. For example if you want the gift of healing you should always be willing to pray for someone's healing regardless if you see them being miraculously healed or not. Same thing with tongues you should be praying in tongues all the time or as often as possible. Same thing with word of knowledge, Ask God to tell you something about someone so that you can pray for them. With word of wisdom, if you lose something or you lost an item somewhere and you don't know where it is ask God for wisdom to help you find it.
The only time I would say be cautious is with gifts like prophecy where if you say "God says" when you know it's not God who says it Or you said it in a way that can hurt the person's feelings, then be ready for correction.
Can I ask so if someone wanted to exercise the gift of miracles how do you do that
Well if we are meant to have all the gifts then what is the point of making the church and coming together as believers?, if we had all the gifts we wouldn’t need to come together but if we had some gifts we could help each other strengthen the church and helping each other grow, plus the Bible makes it clear when it says, Do all prophesy? Do all speak in tongues?, Are all teachers?, etc; we have at least one gift and may be able to have more but we will not have them all, cause only Jesus had all the gifts
@@ekasikulture7212 pray for people, for there needs, if someone is injured, and you know they won't mind you praying for them (be polite, don't try to be religious) then pray and believe. You might see a miracle on your first miracle, or you might see it in 10 years. The goal is exercise it.
@@nicklopez8004 for your first Question, you're replacing gifts with the church, the church is a time of fellowship were you come together with other believers, the gifts are literally gifts, meaning they are free and unserved and I use to help others. Can you use the gifts in church? absolutely. But do they define what "church" is? No. The church doesn't even need to be at a physical location, it can be anywhere where two or more people come together with the intention of worshiping God and sharing what God has been teaching or doing in there life.
@@nicklopez8004 for your second set of questions, there is a deference between the seat/calling and the gift. The seat of a prophet is when someone is called by God to be a prophet, basically meaning he has more responsibility (more people to prophecy to/ more sheep) in that part of God's kingdom.
The gift of prophecy, anybody can do, I was at a prophecy conference this year, and myself, as a student trying to learn, not intending to prophecy to anyone, repeatedly and actually prophecied every day that I was there. And it was not just me, everyone was prophecing. But I also learned the importance of being careful of what you say as god's voice, hence why I mentioned it in my first point. Plus it was a relatively safe environment, if anyone couldn't say anything to the person, or didn't have any relevance, the receiver would not take it too seriously.
Super interesting video! My mother and all her sisters and brothers as well as my grandma definitely have the gift of prophecy. They constantly get visions about future events in their dreams before these things actually happen. I’m not sure which gift I have - I‘ve always believed I have the gift of discernment, but I’m definitely someone who goes above and beyond to help other people, especially when it comes to mental distress. Both my brother and I are extremely compassionate and our instinct is always to help and comfort others. So I don’t know, I‘m really not sure.
Sounds like you have the gift of exhortation, which seems relative to healing, and another gift that he mentioned in regards alleviate people, physical, emotional, spirtual. And to my understanding God bestows the gifts and can give a person more then one. Intrestenially some of the gifts attributes seem to overlap into another.

It breaks my heart to see some people saddened by not knowing what “gift” they have - especially the children commenting! It may take decades to truly understand what your gift is. And it may very well be the LAST thing you want! But know that so long as God lives in you, you have the gift of LOVE. And THAT heals! Envying someone who knows their gift will only bring you sadness. Relish in knowing that you are powerful so long as you choose love ❤️ And this is coming from someone who posses the gift of prophecy, which can be a scary one sometimes. To be able to see what others cannot, to have to trust that God will show you what to do with your visions can be a lonely, confusing journey. I'm 14 and I've been gifted with Prophecy and This helped me understand the other gifts that I had but just didn't know the name of. One of the ones I didn't know the names of what the Gift of knowledge because I found myself knowing alot of secrets of people and I'm greatful for this clarity and confirmation. @@doctorlucasp9113 Remember that having spiritual gifts isn't about you or feeling powerful, it's about serving Abba and the bible says to ask earnestly for the spiritual gifts and (if you already have spiritual gifts then strengthening of them) Paul also says that we should not be prideful of the gifts we have. Oh, and Also, if you have received prophecy from your mom or grandpa about becoming a prophet, make sure you go to God and ask him how he wants you to serve him or how he may want you to go deeper in your walk with him to unlock new level of spiritual and physical growth and development and maybe if you're not seeing anything right now it's because Gods working on you and preparing you for that time to come. I would love to start using my gift's, that's what I'm working on now. I've had so many losses, my baby sister died in 2012, my dad in 2015, & my mom in 2021. It's been really hard, but I have the lord & all the gift's he's blessed me with. Now to use them, with the lord I shall prosper like I have been🙏🏼🗝👁 I have them all. Plus more like empathy/the 4 clairs. Extremely thankful, I need them to navigate through & help heal the type of world we live in.
