I just bought this meter too
I believe you're putting undo pressure on the meter by pressing down on it ... When I take a test I usually hold each prob with my fingers and insert in the soil.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks for sharing your very informative video.
I bet there is some kind of PH down for lawn care. Get your lawn to hit hat 7 and prosper.
I assume it doesn't take a battery, i dont see a place for one,,please advise
Hi no battery at all
Hello, any idea what is optimal lamp light level for plant in flowering stage according this kit?
I don't I'm sorry
This is an insanely stupid question but... the pH level reading is the bottom most section ranging from Acid to Alkaline, correct? The one that goes from 3.5 to 8? I'm new to this, forgive me lol
It's OK Matty, thanks for watching
Yes 8 is good, the higher the # if testing for pH
I'm confused. Or an idiot. Or both. The full pH scale is 0 - 14 so I'm not sure how to use/calibrate the 0 - 8 scale on this device. Does the device just ignore the 9 - 14 portion of the scale?
Ph goes from 3.5 to 8 looks like 8 is thr goal being green.
the 3.5 to 8 range is the pH range in which things can grow. Anything below that is too acidic (vinegar is a 3, which is why we use it in canning, as it stops bacterial growth) and ammonia has a pH of 11. The 9-14 part of the scale is really unusable in this context because you'd be sticking the probe into dead earth or pure chemicals at that point.
Now i see you posted links, is this the best one, are their ones at the local stores like homedepot or lowes.
Hi Alexander, you should be able to get similar ones at hardware stores.
This one works well Alexander, if you can't find it anyway you can use my amazon Affiliate link in the description OK, we make a very small commission at no additional cost to you.
Thanks again for watching 👍🏻
I have this and it has been total garbage out of box. I am trying some suggested troubleshooting steps but the PH meter does absolutely nothing at the moment. I ordered off Amazon
Sorry to hear that Bobby
hehe, your lawn went from ghetto to great !
I don't believe the Ph. I admit I don't know the method of measurement they are using. I do know ph meters though. They are finicky and require temperature compensated calibration
