Wow that 21 Club is something else. Next time I'm in NYC I want to stop by and have a drink or two and maybe even dinner. Love places like this where you can literally immerse yourself in the history and experience it :) cheers!
The Back Room or (Lower Eastside Toy Co.)is amazing!! I went there 2 nights ago and the alleyway leading to the establishment and then the establishment itself is amazing! Gorgeous and authentic! They give drinks in tea cups and beers in paper bags even!
@@LeoCeka Same actor who played Torio, and took us on this Speakeasy tour, played a jerk in the Sopranos named Butchie...I hated him! lol But with BE... I liked what he did... I loved his character... not so much a weasel as Butchie... if you've not seen the Sopranos, I highy recommend!
This was a great watch and also very cringe at the same time. I thinks it’s the actors being themselves and not the characters they played. Anyway, I enjoyed this video.
Torrio, Lucky and Rothstein were my 3 favourite characters in the show so it's so cool to see them as real people taking an active interest in the history they portrayed. Awkwardness be damned.
The speakeasies in the book are similar to the 21 Club, since they both had limited space and were often crowded with the biggest names in town. They were also visited by mobsters and famous people within the area.
That, was a very cool history lesson. It's what makes Boardwalk Empire such a great series. It's attention to detail is quite impressive
I love prohibition Era Chicago crime. Boardwalk was aces.
21:49 from Nixon and Ford to Lorraine Bracco and Martha Stewart hahaha.
The owner of the Green Mill has a heavy Chicago accent
Michael Stuhlbarg is so precious :')
I didnt realize how much of an excellent actor Michael is until he was on this show playing the intellectual gambler Arnold Rothstein.
Bet those hangouts are super haunted

21:43 "I don't think Tricky Dick is planing on using this anytime soon. Drink up fellas" - The Crew as soon as the cameras were off!
I wouldn't mind a a little NY pub crawl like that.
Us Americans have a history maybe not being the smartest but definitely strategically outsmarting our opposition.
Loved seeing all this history. Good job guys.
The actor was anxious to take over the story @ 9:18
this is just a heritage...amazing
You two need a spin off show.
Do those bottles still have wine in them? A lot of them are probably vinegar by now if they do. Shame as they were probably some of the best vintages.
Loved Mr Torrio, HATED BUTCHIE!!! lol and loved this video!!!
Who is Butchie ?

Aaah, okay.
Yes, indeed.
I perfectly remember, now. 😉
Love Chicago.
So how much does this 4000 lb door weigh?
I pass Club 21 so many times, and never go in.. I always knew the history behind it..
It's weird hearing these guys without the accent.
It's weirder when you realise half of them - eg. Capone and Harrow - were English.
What about Club Arcada in St. Charles?
the new york and chicago accents work well together.
