I just ordered one without obstacle avoidance. From this review and several others, seems to be more annoying than it's worth and it gets turned off every time. Without the sensor this was the same price as the Pro2, so I figured why not get this for a couple small upgrades over the Pro2.
Like most if not all of this type of quad you review...it represents good value for money at this level and cost. Will you be doing a review of DJI`s latest FPV drone set up...be good to get your opinion of it. Like your revamped garden lay out...very neat and practical....Especially your large green landing pad.
Cheers Ched - I've found a way of walking pain free but I do look like an AI that's learning to walk but needs a few more million iterations to look more human. I guess it takes time to retrain your legs. I do think under £100 is the magic price point for these, anything over £150 and you start thinking you might as well just go for DJI
Yeah - it's tricky to review when you are in the toy-grade territory. Is this an option for people not wanting to spend and do some casual quad flying, or should everyone just save up more and buy a DJI !?
@@CurryKitten the fact is I have no incentive to save up for DJI. To me, for a couple family videos, the quality is more than adequate. So for someone like me, it's either mediocre or nothing. But these videos help me decide which mediocre is best lol
@@CurryKitten I'm Still in the design phase, probably will take another 6 months before we head to a field for an actual flight. How hard/easy something is to fly will, of course, depend on your level of experience - but no, this shouldn't feel hard. Whilst the GPS will hold it's position, even without that it self-levels, and will only tilt/pitch to quite a limited amount and IIRC the altitude still attempts to hold, so you'd really have to try quite hard to crash it.
@@CurryKitten I 'd try fly without GPS and it crash and only 4 blade of SG906 damaged..bcoz I saw at youtube it also say can fly without GPS but it did't say something like hard to control or try. Now I a bit scare to fly again after crash and plus my area is a bit hard to get GPS.
Mentioned DJI 4 times in the first 3 min of your review...this is a 1/4 of the price of a mini and you have 3 batteries..putting it in a toy class is also wrong . something that has a 3 axis gimbal and can do autonomous flight is no longer a toy..I have taken mine to over a km on fpv . Saying this is a toy is so wrong in so many ways..a non gps,non brushless motor quad is a toy .not this. Obsticle avoidance works on high speed and low speed .if you read carefully. Traveling at high speed, obsticle avoidance will not work as you will be traveling to fast to keep you from hitting something.. Your memory card will have to be a high speed memory card as well for you to record decent videos.also on your settings .switch on your EIS .which you obviously did not do .my videos are rock solid. Suggest you do a bit more flying and testing before you do a review.
Yep - there's a reason DJI is mentioned. When you think about camera drones, DJI comes up again and again, and so it's only natural to compare - even when one costs significantly more than the other. You are suggesting that I shouldn't compare it to DJI because of the price difference, but also arguing that it's not a toy-class drone. You can't have it both ways, if you think this is a "hobby-class" drone then it must be compared with camera drones in this class - which would include the DJI stuff. I don't think obstacle avoidance works well at all. If OA doesn't work at high speed, then it should be disabled if you switch to high speed, instead of complaining that the ground is an obstacle because of the forward lean on the quad. My memory card deals with 4k at 120fps in my GoPro, so I think it should be up to the job of this quad. Was EIS on - honestly, I can't recall. My review format for these sort of quads is that of an average consumer - I'm taking things out the box and giving you my first hand experience. Should I feel it's worthy of spending more time on then I'll go back and do some more. Why would EIS not be on by default - do they want the user to have a sub-par experience unless they can find the "make it look good" setting hidden away. I did look on your channel for your rock solid videos to compare, but you don't seem to have any. If you upload some then I'd be happy to take a look and fly it once again if it looks vastly different

Yeah - more fuss than it's worth, and it's a pain to remove it to get it back into the bag!
my drone batteries cannot pull out/stuck...any solution to pull out batteries to change new battery

What phone you are using now, bocz my phone did't support GPS and Samsung Tab S2 support but connection not strong.
Do you know what wifi you're phone has to support
Does anyone know what wifi system you're phone has to support to fly this drone 👨💻
Like the T shirt. Hope the knee is feeling better. Looks OK not sure it's quite cheap enough but not bad really.

Does it record at 30 of 25 FPS? I know it apparently transmits at 25, but how much does it record at?
Great flying and review, Wayne! Really nice! 😃
Looks pretty nice! Too bad the recording isn't better. 😕
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Hey CurryKitten !
Cheers !
Hey Shakaib, how is your delivery drone project progressing ?

There's no dislike, just like :)
Only time will tell :)
Like the T-shirt :-D
Commenting on the T-Shirt means you ignored it !!! :D
Ordered mine about a month ago still hasn't shipped
Same and I added priority shipping and the shipping facility still hasn't received the item smh
Good honest review Wayne...It's not a Mini 2 but you get what you pay for I guess...Looking forward to getting out of prison end March...😯😯🤔🇬🇧
What wifi does you're phone have to be able to use
Duel wifi
The bell icon will do stuff, just next week lol.
Who can tell what the bell does now !
I like how you do a Mavic rip off review on the day the DJI FPV embargo is lifted. A subtle middle finger to DJI 👏👍
Yeah - that'll learn them for not sending me one :D
I have no idea why I watched the whole video ;)
Will never buy a toy like this
Happy with my mavic air2
It seems really loud.
It's pretty loud, but not as bad as some quads
Sounds a bit loud. Great video though. Should be better when you take in out in the wild. "Hope"
Anyway, keep up with the good work. 👍👍
le systeme de stabilisation de la camera de ce drone est mediocre et il y a de la latance au niveau du wifi....mais il vole super bien
Bad timing for a review of a quad! It's gonna get lost in all those DJI fpv quad reviews. Especially for a quad that looks so much like it!
I think everything is. So far it's more robust than the DJI quad as it's legs didn't break when I landed it :D
hello
It was on time today, but you were lagging behind :)
@@CurryKitten yeah wasn't really interested
I'll be crying myself to sleep tonight then

Wow that thing is noisy
Not quiet is it - of course, normally I wouldn't be quite so close !
