    Received mine in black yesterday.....I believe they probably watched many of the reviews and took the criticism in a great way. My version met my expectations and more. The polishing is not perfect but way more refine compare with my SD1970. No sharp edges I can feel or see anywhere including lug tips, bracelet and the whole case. The bracelet is quite different than those I saw on RUclips reviews. It has a solid endlink, solid oyster bracelets, signed, logoed casp. The blush polishing on the bracelet is very smooth and comfort on wrist. Overall, it is my cheapest but most favourite watch at the moment, great value and I can’t take it off......probably going to buy few more in different color for daily use.

    I got one of these last year and whilst winding it normally the winding stem snapped. Clearly this was a manufacturing issue. Steeldive refused to honour their warranty and accused me of abusing the watch. As someone with many watches and a good understanding of how to use them this was very disappointing. They're beautiful watches and great value but be aware that the warranties are worthless.

I've subbed (actually subbed the other day, but came back for another look at this one today). I think I'll pull the trigger on this one, all things considered. I see below that you told another commenter what to search for when looking for the same strap as yours on the cheapestnatostraps site, but, I still couldn't see one which looked the same lovely colour as yours. At 6:17 it looks to have a reddish hue. If it's not too much trouble could you tell me the exact name of your model as 'vintage brown leather sienna' didn't come up with your type. It looks perfect with this watch! You've got very good taste, sir! @m.s.g1890 3 года назад

      @@WristWatching No worries, my friend. I think it's pretty much widely accepted these days that for your channel to really grow you need to post as regularly as possible. The more you post the quicker you grow, as long as the content is good, which yours definitely is. There are loads of watch channels out there, so you just need to keep plugging away until you become a familiar and trusted face out there. Of course, it's hard to keep posting regular content as you need to have more and more watches to review. The trick, I guess, is to get hold of as many free watches as possible eg borrow them from friends or subscribers. And, of course, as the channel grows you'll get freebies from watch manufacturers, and can even invite them to send review copies when you have a decent amount of subs!
      Thanks for the strap info. I'll have a look....

    That SD1940 feels and looks more like a Field Watch than a Flieger.
    P.S They have quite a few competitors when it comes to Fliegers, even outside of the ET.
    For etc, the San Martin Fliegers or the Heimdallr ones or the LUGYOU/Cronos offerings

    • @WristWatching
      @WristWatching  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching! The line between fliegers and field watches is frequently blurred. Personally, I only consider something a field watch when they have the 12-hour and 24-hour timing on the dial.
      Agreed on San Martin and Cronos being competition, but they're above the $100 mark. If some has less than $100 to spend, the ET and SD are the 2 main options.

    For 80 bucks there is no down side to this watch. The movement alone is worth at least 40 dollars. Now, if you are anal you can find bad things to say about this watch. I for one, do not like the Steeldive logo. I would prefer a sterile logo. I don't like the engraving either. Better to have no engraving than to have the garbage they have put on the caseback. Other than that, the watch is all good.

      @@WristWatching It isn't that I don't like a logo. I don't consider Steeldive a real logo. They are just a parts aggregator. They buy the cases and movements from random manufacturers and then case it up and sell it. They make nothing. They are a seller. Not a watch manufacturer. Therefore, a sterile dial is more honest. If the logo was Seiko then yes, I would like to see that logo. A logo needs to mean something. Steeldive is a nothing company.
