Also im sure your carbs are gummed up, that will be next after you get spark. Make sure all your vacuum hoses are plugged or connected. New fuel filter before the carbs instead of before the pump to ensure u dont clog em again
Hi I'm deano from England United kingdom its Sunday 22nd September 2019. I watched your diagnosis of the Kawasaki with interest, but dont leave us all hanging. Did you in fact take off the wiring loom to start again with it. Did you get that ignition box looked and and get any life into the electrical system to get it running . Where are you gone now !! Write back
Yea, here you are. Lots of starter abuse on this. I have it starting better but still not great. When it's warmed up though it sounds amazing. ruclips.net/video/OKcN70awOx8/видео.html
Right now it doesn't have a silencer and being in that camper trailer/caravan even with hearing protection it wrecks your ears and chokes you from the exhaust fumes. When I'm able to get any kind of noise reduction on it I'll run an exhaust hose out the door and properly fire it up for you. It still needs a lot of work but I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along.
@@heliarche thanks for that my friend. I'm so glad you didn't leave us wondering .well when I seen your video earlier I went out to get my own Kawasaki ZX6R started .its not been run for two years and ignition fault was non runner. I only got it off my work friend Karl yesterday after he couldn't be bothered with it. Was sat at our Skip recycling yard since December 2017 covered over but looks rough. So off I went spent 2 hours trying to figure out why no ignition lights nothing. So I bypassed it. Took power from car batrer and put the live from there a wire onto the brown at the fues box . Low and behold ignition came on. I used some petrol down the carb intakes and some east start and presto it bloody fired into life. My friend karl will now be pig sick as he sold it to me for £500 uk money. Your sounds good hope you still got it and stick with it. But what was your main problem for it not starting ?
@@heliarche you seem like a typical man into everything a yard full of all sorts of vehicles lol . How do I send clips of my bike to you on here from my videos. Where in the world do you live

Hey bud, thanks for the video!! What was the issue? My 1989 zx6r is having the same issue.. It seems to be a dead short
Someone butchered the wiring and the ignition control box was dead. I replaced both.
Can you help me out I have a few questions about my 2002 zx6r
I'm not well versed with these and it was a long time ago. Check out your forums.
Your ignition switch has a resistor in it that prevents people from hot wiring
I believe a 3k ohm resistor wired to the gray ign wire would give you spark. But buying a used switch off ebay would be less of a headache
From what I've seen it's a 100ohm resister

Where in the world do you live
I need the harness for the 2006 Kawasaki Zx6r 636, do you or anyone else have it for sale?
Where’d you get your ignition
Which part specifically? Ignition switch?
What year is the bike
1998
Yo I think I was the first one to view this😅😅
Not sure there. I remember something similar from earlier this afternoon XDXDXD
