    Thank you, I just to make sure if the on and off clips were just on there by screw and not connected to anything behind the wheel. I was trying to change the time and one came off and I thought I had to flip the wheel and connect & align the clip to whatever it was connected to behind ut

    The only issue I see is the connector you used to push the wires through. In this case you should have used a plastic bushing . The wires could have gotten damaged when tightening down. The connector has to be used with the armor over the wires and. Installed the other way around. Other than that good job .

    Very good tutorial, thanks! Could I use this with a pump start relay for an irrigation well pump? Or would I even need a pump start relay? All I want is timer to turn on irrigation pump from well to water the garden everyday for 30 min.

    Scott…the clubhouse has an Intermatic timer that controls our outdoor floods and (believe or not) a receptacle by the gazebo 200 feet from the clubhouse where the timer resides. Is it possible that the electrician hooked up the outdoor floods AND the receptacle? By looking behind the plastic cover, how can I confirm this?
    I’ve got 2 whites on the Neutral screw, 1 white and 1 black on the Line screw, and 1 black on the Load screw.
    A safer way of asking is….if I were to remove 1 of the whites on the neutral screw that we know should NOT be hot,, can I safely allow the timer to go on at night allowing me to then see which is no longer working, the outdoor floods or the gazebo receptacle? Your thoughts please.

      I wish I could help you out. I'm not quite sure how to fix the problem without being there in person to see. Should be able to turn the breaker off mess with whatever wire you think it might be, then turn the breaker back on to see if it's working correctly. (or maybe spend a few bucks to get a professional out to look at it)

    The manual ‘on and off’ is confusing. There is no auto position. Is off, off all of the time. Is on, on all of the time.
    So is off, off, but will come on at designated times!?
    I’m assuming.
    On will be on all of the time.
    Confusing.

    Do you leave timer on or turn off when adjusting time

      Sorry do you turn manually off or leave on

    • @ZittleFarms
      @ZittleFarms  Год назад

      So if you aren't close to the ON switch. You can just adjust the time. If you are close, then I normally click it on and then adjust the time. Easier to adjust when it's not close to the on/off tabs. I hope that makes sense and helps you out!!

    The electrician I’m me cringed at certain aspects of this video. Can we start with that connector being installed backwards?
    You wired it right but completely but butchered terminology. Power comes in on the LINE side and the lights are one the LOAD side. This is important as people reading a schematic could misinterpret this and completely wire something wrong. If you don’t know how to explain something these videos are dangerous. This is how people start fires through bad explanations.
