I like the shout-out to Funkhouser. I live a mile or two from his shop, and I had him make some adjustable rear perches for me. They are beautiful. I have been keeping up with you for a few years, and you are a hero to a lot of us leaf spring racers out here. Glad you started a channel, and enjoy the content. You are covering things that racers face every day. Hope to see the channel grow.
Loved the podcast guys. Ron Rhodes, you’re a legend, not only up here in the northeast & at Cecil, but the world. I remember when I was like 8 years old watching the Camaro pull a wheelie every pass & at the superstallions races. Me & my dad watch all your videos. My dad (Bob Lunner) said he made you some lead ballast bars years ago. And Ronny, you’re doing a great job with the filming & editing. Keep it up!
Thanks for the video. Just got a 68 nova a couple months ago and in the past couple weeks I installed caltracs and split mono leafs. That’s for the info.
I loved 😍 my favorite car with that kind of suspension setup, when I see it the first time and went down against 4link and beat them, that when you say ,my think works,🔥💪
First, thank you for the education on leaf springs .I have a 1968 RS Camaro the car won Real Stree 1998 and 1999 NMCA. This was James Phipps car. I am interested in the leaf spring update for now. I have some questions. What is a good time to contact you. I am in the Midwest
Didn't know you had a channel. Instantly subscribed! Do you check wheelbase/steer ahead on each side after setting everything up or just 1 flat adjust with preload if it moves 1 way or another down track?
Awesome video!!! building a 1968 Torino drag car with bigger power and going with Calvert system, interested in the perches - who makes them or where to purchase?
I have Assasin bars on my s10 trying to find a good bar angle. You said roughly 2 degrees of angle on caltracs, but i assume thats running from the axle up 2 degrees to the front mount? My truck sits really low and almost all my adjustment holes put mine going down to the front mount.

Nice video Ron👍
Leafsprings to the front
Good stuff
I always thought you add preload to the right bar if the car goes left and vica versa?
Nope put preload on the side that is pulling. Puts more weight on that tire and pushes the other way.
Interested in the perches also

Yea we just add as needed when it pulls to one side or the other.
Who makes the lower spring plates? I have all the Calvert stuff under my 68’ but the added adjustment of those looks appealing. Thanks for the info!
Pretty sure merrilat has perches

Do you sell the axle perches?
