I have the 5' model. I love that thing. Takes a bit of practice and more concentration because of respiratory issues but if I'm patient enough I can still bring dinner home.

Cool setup. I have the plain black one. Your video made me think to hook a small piece of flexible hose to the end of the blowgun, and rig it to fit into an old gun stock. That way you could put a scope on it, etc. It's just for fun, I don't think it would be any more useful, but it's be cool! I'll probably never do it.......but maybe you're looking for a new project for it? I don't think I've ever seen one? I almost think it'd be less stable due to the movement of the lungs and that affecting the shot more? Who knows..... Have fun, and thanks!

Hi Everyone , for the home blow dart makers here is a great way to make darts , bicycle spokes and I have found buy using insulin pen needle caps and putting it in a piece of coarse sandpaper and turning it around in circles and checking it every few turns it will fit into the .625 big bore guns great .
So if you are a insulin user it's a great use for putting these plastic to use .

@@Mex_the_Fox I'm going to say 30% off .... I'm finding they fly truer ( more accurate ) a bit faster , reckon they loose some punch in weight but I'm liking it better

You can get 2 18 inch blowguns at BudK's for $16.99?
I like my Blow guns Naked,....just the tube and the quiver on them then they are quick and easy to use,....longer is better.
I'd never hunt with one game is scarce so I'd just use a 12ga loaded lightly and get the meat VS a blowgun that the game runs off bleeding inside/ hard to find.
But mostly small game tends to be 30 yards or more that's why I prefer a 12 ga pump with a vent ribbed short barrel and screw in chokes.

Certainly agree, a gun is more proficient, this is just a challenging hobby, nothing more than that and to add a little bling makes it interesting

@@caryverhalen I certainly agree with you. Blowguns are fun and challenging. With a blowgun, you don't shoot at larger game unless you're pretty proficient and able to make your shot count. I have everything on my blowgun that you do.

I just bought the blow gun. I have it for a day now and have managed to get upto 50 m/s (164fps). 60 m/s should be possible but propably not for everyone.

I use bike spokes and the cones from the bamboo darts to make my own darts. Drill a hole in the cone, cut the end of the spoke off so it has a small hook and stick it in the cone and use a hot melt glue gun to glue it in the cone. I also drill a hole in the stun darts and glue a spoke in the tip to use for fishing. If your good with brazing you can braze an Exacto blade to the spoke nut and make them removable so you can replace the spoke when it gets bent.

If it have "gun" in the name they will try to ban it! They don't mind the "blow" part, but "gun" can put you in jail, even if just imaginary.

Time to leave my friend. California is as socialist as it gets. Picture this: My local sporting goods store had a 2 for one special on a 1911 and a .38 special. Walked in, filled out the paperwork, (regular customer so check came back almost instantly) gathered the ammo, checked out and out the door with 2 new firearms in under 15 minutes. God Bless America!😃

Do you know of like a fiberglass or composite dart? Anything that like an arrow on a bow but smaller?

No I sure don't The idea is nice, however, by hunch is it would be an expensive process to have a broadhead and feral attachment on a very small diameter dart.
