You can see from my video that I got a G brand controller. But I actually bought it from Y brand store.
I bought the same controller and measured 5 frames of input lag. Which is quite a lot, yes. How do you adjust the delay on switch? Whenever I do the judgment test the game uses to offset the jugdment, I get a perfect score with 0/0 delay. But when playing I can feel the delay.

I got the same problem when I start playing this game using my joy-cons. Finally I need to get some slow COOL/GOOD purposely during the testing to get an acceptable offset value.

While Taito officially releases the controller, this seems to be a pretty good alternative, tho, for me a medium-advanced player, the problems with delay seem a bit too harsh, and menu buttons are akward. Good review! Was considering dropping money for one but, because I'm still living in Mexico (Going to move to Japan later on) fees and economy are... A big no, so in the meantime, I can wait for a revision or maybe even an official solution. Tho, I would like to see further testing with this controller! Also, you should try out the Steam port, while the Switch port is miles better, I still do use the Steam version time to time, and there could be also ways to play this on the phone. Also, I would like to see testing on a "machinegun" type of song like Cozmic Operation (I love that song). Nevertheless, thank you for honest review! I appreciate it and regards from Mexico!

There's gotta be a way to wire that thing up to an RP2040 inside to bring the lag down, though I didn't see the final delay tally so I'm not sure how bad it is. If that thing is on a "zero delay" board, yeah, it's gonna be really bad, lag-wise. You'd get rid of the delay immediately, and if the LEDs are addressable, you might even be able to wire that in. (not sure if you could get reliable lighting tho)

There're only those two brands mentioned in the video can be found in the market right now. But actually the controllers from these two companies are exactly the same (but prices are different). 2. There're only 3rd party controllers right now. The Arcade manufacturer (i.e. TAITO) doesn't make any official arcade-style controllers. 3. Simply speaking, if I need to get a higher score I still need my Joy-cons or pro controller. It is because there're still few defects in the arcade controller compared with the standard arcade cabinet. p.s. I was a top tanker in arcade and retired in July last year.

Don't worry that's not a noob question and many players had asked me about this. 1. The automatic readjustment of calibration in Switch version is quite crappy for me. I also have the same problem that I tried the test in normal way, it gave me 0,0 and finally I still got a delay during playing songs. 2. You can't readjust the calibration manually. The only way is try to get COOL/GOOD purposely in the calibration test and get a better value of calibration.
Souwav Firstly make sure you can rotate your monitor like that. Then enter the game, go to "Config" from the main page, press "R" few times until the "Screen" setting comes out. Then change "Screen Direction" to "Vertical" and "Gameplay Aspect Ratio" to "9:16".

Considering the new switch firmware update today added button remapping, how would that change up your opinions on the controller?

我幾乎跟GC無緣啊...連最近更新的MAX版我也沒機會玩到...上一年音樂機台才從火車站附近的遊樂場撤走...說是廠商不再更新，可是一聽就知道是在唬小的...玩不到一年就被撤走，真的很心痛...我也只能看著影片去看別人玩...最後一次玩到是今年2月去朋友家附近的遊樂場玩的...那時候因為有CWT就暫時住在他家，所以才有機會玩到
真可惜呢...我不是台灣人，但是也大概知道可能是GC沒那麼熱門的關係，分佈點好像有點疏遠和少，
要找到機台真的有點困難呢。
我們香港那邊要找到機台不太難，可惜的是全香港大部份的機台部壞了，而且都沒人修，
所以我去年就棄掉了AC。
