    Wow, this video is packed with good tips and missing (thankfully) too much fluff. Love all your videos and hope to meet you out on the road once we get our new LD this spring!

    I found that 35 gallons is not enough for serious boondocking so I added a65 gallon PVC bag which I put on the roof. I connected to it a 10' hose which can drain into my water inlet when I need.

      That's so exciting! What were you camping in and why did you switch to the Casita? I love to hear people's stories.

      We still winter in a fifth wheel, but we found we enjoy travels to various sites much more in a smaller trailer. We used to have a 2012 SD, and always missed it after we sold it. So we are coming back!

      All stuff that we purchased with our own money. If you use something else, we’d love to hear about that too.

    Can you tell me where you purchased the tote for draining the tank. I think you called it a handy tote. Is that the brand name? Thanks tons.

    Just retired from the railroad and ordering my Casita now, my golden doodle and I what to travel to all the national parks.
    what do you tow your casita with?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  4 года назад

      Congratulations! We tow with a 2013 Toyota Venza. I love that it's all-wheel drive, but the clearance is a little low for some of the roads we'd like to travel on. It's great on paved roads; love the ride.

    How much solar do you have?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  4 года назад

      Originally, we had 90 watts, which was plenty. We added an extra panel for a total of 135 watts.
