Adam nailed (surprisingly) it's a pipeline from grade school, to university and then you surround yourself with teenagers or children every single day when you go back to "teach." Most teachers have zero life experience outside of the school system. And cant actually understand that people don't believe the things they payed to hear in university. Most teachers, in my experience, have almost zero understanding of the subjects they teach, they just read from a book assigned from a preset curriculum. Being a teacher is not a hard job in any way.

I worked as a product development engineer for 25 years and am now teaching at a fantastic university. These numbers do not surprise me. The bias is pervasive, and it does not help our students. The focus needs to be on how to become a credentialed professional. However, universities have a daily focus on social engineering. Our profession will pay the price, which means society will suffer the consequences. We need to re-establish some true diversity to achieve balance.

Just to challenge this a bit, since Trump what is a Republican? I remember in the early 2000s it felt like a lot of economics professors aligned with what would have been called Republican then... free trade, limited regulation, and all that stuff. I literally remember watching Milton Friedman documentaries in class. That type of Republican doesn't exist any more in the public discussion.

One thing I’ve been thinking about is the fundamental ideologies behind our political affiliations. The more I delve into these concepts, the more I realize how important it is for everyone to really understand what their party stands for. I believe if more people took the time to explore the core beliefs of their chosen party, rather than just aligning with what feels comfortable or who they prefer, we’d have even more meaningful and informed conversations in our country.

To make a change start with student loans and FAFSA investigate in how it’s being managed. Then look into where the money handed out to the universities to see where the money is being used….its the Deans and the universities including now public schools getting a blank check claiming for infrastructure , building athletic programs, performing arts unequally rather than spending on the STEM and meaningful educational programs. Look at any degree programs the universities have adopted a method of increasing GUR additional social classes in order to graduate from the university. It’s a money funneling system!

I attest to this! I am from Kentucky, earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky (2005-2009) and back then the professors were known to be libtards! They were shoving this "multi-cultural" diversity agenda the fall semester of 2006 and it was annoying AF. The professors were majority liberal and my sociology professor was pushing this "gender-X" theory to my class and it was absurd. I feared that would be the future and here we are. I will say the Gatton College of Business was slowly becoming more and more liberal - even my tax professors! I must give credit though to the University of Louisville as I earned my Master's degree there and it was a breath of fresh air as they were conservative ! It was exact opposite of what people would suspect. :)

I attended a community college right out of high school. My honors history professor had a spinner bait in one ear & didn't teach history. He liked to talk about Hillary Rodham Clinton. Made me want to fukn puke and ask why am I here. This is definitely not history. We were expected to do all the work on our own time & endure the B.S. My psychology professor was the same. He liked to play music and hit on the ladies in class. WTF??? Too bad I didn't have a video camera to document all the ridiculous 💩. I regret wasting all that money.

Simple. It means that highly educated folks are democratic. Logic and common sense makes people more democratic.

That is why they don't like education and they banned books.

You are misusing the word “Democratic.” You are meaning to say Democrat. We live in a democratic society, but it does not mean we are all Democrats. And none of these work professors are highly intelligent.

This is the reason why men drop out of universities. Compliance is more important than meritocracy since covid.

    this should not be surprising.
for one thing, leftists are the ones that like powerful institutions.
conservatives ignore them as corrupt and political.
liberals are also more likely to vote and run for office, as they cannot perform in any market sector to build wealth.
