Instead of copy-pasting the position keyframes - you can ALT+click the position stopwatch in the Shape layer and link it to the Knot animation. Doing it like this is much better because if there are changes to be made, you only need to change one animation - the other will follow along.
I was wathcing this really good tutorial with some music in the background, i don't really know I managed to to this but the sound was fitting perfectly with your voice above. Magic ! (the track was : _Bassline Baby - 101 Groove_ , yes, you should always listen to some jungle or acid while learning)
+linguini33 Every Wednesday! I hope to have a new video next week on the main channel too, but I have a business trip next week so the time crunch may be a road block.
Partner!!! this was real cool me boy. I came across channel after watching the morphing tutorial. Think i will hang around here a little. Keep up the good work mehn, people like you, Mt Summit and EC abrams learning after effects fun.
Im doing everything the same way but cant seem to get the position of the shape layer to perfectly match the position of the flo motion effect. it follows it but its off to the side
thats actually what the issue was. Ive redone this effect several times and its either the scale of the layer or the anchor point on the shape that I always have to adjust.
Any way to make this working when working with 3D Layers and camera? As you dont move the black circle, but the camera, you dont get the proper distortion.
So i'm trying to copy the knot1 with the shape position. The shape moves similarly to knot1 position but it has some delay. How do I make sure the shape follows knot1 position?
I am new to after effects.. I have 2 questions - 1. How do you get the distortion of image go around the black hole? I'm using the same effect with same settings but everything is getting pulled in, instead of going around the circle. 2. Is it just me or do you also get "gradient lines" after rendering your videos. I am talking about the smoke effect. I can see the same pattern at 4:00 but mine look uglier. Thanks

+Joonas Nieminen That's actually a really good idea. I rarely take advantage of that technique in AE. Thanks for the tip!
Absolutely brilliant! Essentially an exact replica of the effects of a black hole! Great job!
Came here from SpaceTime. Nice tutorial

I always wondered how you created the black hole effect. Cool stuff Mike, can't wait for more videos.

Çok faydalı oldu teşekkürler.

Love your turorials! Simple, brief and on point! Keep up the good work!! :)
Very cool, been looking for something like this for a while now. Thanks!

Hmm, that seems odd. Is the background scaled or anything? Let me know and I can try and walk you through the problem. Thanks

If the object is scaled or a 3D object you may have some problems
fucking sick tutorial mate thanks
could you try to remake the Monstercat audio visualizer?

So I don't know how to make the background

+Suraj Thapar - Set your color depth to 16 or 32 to prevent "banding" in gradients. Cheers.
Serge Berig Wow, it really works.. Thanks a lot! :)
Glad to be of assistance :)

Whenever I see the "No third party plug in) I CLICK. I'm tired of having to see amazing effects' tutorials only to buy plug ins in the middle.
