      This is what happens when the cries of the citizens are " defund the police". Why would any law-abiding citizen want to " defund an agency he/she/other look to for help when the times get tough, and expect the same people to step in to solve their problems?. Every day police officers are on the streets to " protect and serve " ( personally it couldn't be me), and to reward them, the cry of " racial profiling " politics, led to the tying of their hands ( their ability to not do their jobs). Philly also have a tinted windows law on the books, but if and when the police pull you over for having the dark tinted on your window, again they ( police) will be accused of " racial profiling "

      " racial profiling " ? The police in Philly cant or won't do anything because of these 2 words. Their hands are tied. This city needs leaders the law breakers fear, and another Mayor like Lynn Abraham who was a supporter of the police, and didn't mind making "examples " out of the criminals

      I have a friend ( police officer) who worked at a local PAL center under the El train. We were talking one day and he told me if the police would see a Black American guy walking down the street carrying a gun, there would be nothing he or another police officer could do unless there was a call over the radio a crime was committed and the description fit the Black American guy walking down the street holding the gun. Forget the fact he may be on his way to commit a crime and by stopping him the police may have prevented a crime. That is just one stupid law in Philly.

      When the last Mayor turned Philly into a Sanctuary city without the support, knowledge, and vote of the people, this is what happened. Sure there was a drug problem, but it wasn't this bad and there were still reputable businesses in Kensington ( the furniture store etc.. ) I sure would like to see his bank account to see just how much he enriched himself while in city hall for eight years, because I don't see anything he did that benefited the citizens. Some want to pass blame on the police officers, but like every other job, the police are the employees who have bosses, they can only do what they are allowed to do. The orders come from the top

      When Biden had 2 sons who were addicts, and Andy Reid, Super Bowl winning coach, and 1 in 4 Americans are a so called addict, and we still haven’t just done what every doctor amd intelligent counselors know the answer we already have would end this, it’s about making money, the so called legal part,, trust me, the so called criminals are the kindest people u
      L meet, We’re fine, look at NY u think it’s about saving amd helping people? 😂 yea, they say repeating the same thing and expecting a different result is insanity! Well I haven’t seen a single new idea to fix the rich getting people addicted to legal meds, then call them criminals , then say they have a new medicine to help them, then fine them, then put them in prison and taxpayers pay 80k per yr to hold people who are victims and sick, just for being dumb enough to trust doctors and the system, so yes the country needs your prayers, not this city, others cities just spread it out, but the numbers are the same

      They don’t care, they’ve already sold out to certain developers, it’s not even dangerous, but they get the rents low, thru all the exaggerated crime stats, then the people who buy politicians renovate the building’s. It’s called gentrification, we used to call it the real criminals. Steal a million u get a note asking nicely to stop, if ur broke and sell a medicine ur worthy of national guard threat, if this was about helping people they’d probably start helping!😂 west Philly has had more overdoses and more crime even violent, oh wait this is next to casinos and just down the river and septa systems from fishtown, the last neighborhood they bought, u have to remember, people in a bad position whether poor or homeless or sick, they don’t vote, so they don’t give a sh/t about them.

    • @PhillyHardy
      @PhillyHardy 6 месяцев назад +1

      I’ll say this, another bad idea that will hurt the most vulnerable amd help only the people with agendas that sell out, but overall things are much better, but sweeping people away or under the rug isn’t actually helping anyone, I think that’s why people hate the open air thing, who America is is right in the face of people so u can’t deny it, they just want to not have to look at people big pharma killed and are killing on the way to the casinos and bars( both were illegal amd worthy of prison time according to our wonderful system) . Our country is making strides in many areas, but with how easy this so called drug war is to fix it’s not incompetence at this point. It’s just a crooked business model, prisons need 5x be filled and fines collected, let me know if u ever see a government employee actually prevent a crime, try going to lower merian and tell them ur putting a camera seeing who they have to their home😂😂 good luck

      😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅, the government?. The problem is the way people ate voting in thus city. The government has nothing to do with this. Instead of voting for someone law breakers fear, the people are voting for someone who looks like them, or for someone who tells the best lies. I am a Black American female, I wouldn't care if a polka dot KKK ran for Mayor, if the criminals feared him, I say he should be Mayor. Look where it's gotten Black Americans and this city by voting for Black American males and females. I mean really who feared Nutter, who feared the guy who just left the office, who fears this D.A?
      These politicians in this city have mastered which lies to tell to get the Black Americans vote, that they have become professionals at it.. The next time you attend a "town hall meeting" ask the candidates if they do or will they participate in the " pay to play" game.

      How is it the " Government"? Give one of those addicts 2 dollars, and sit back and watch where he/she/other walk to to spend those two dollars. He / she/ other will not walk into a government " building". I say send the drug sniffing dogs in the stores and on / around the corners. If this Mayor is serious about combating the drug problems. Just like New York did when those two babies died in that Latino daycare. What the " lazy azzes" police can't do the drug sniffing dogs will.
