So, as my faith had been struggling, I asked for guidance and as He would have it, I wandered into a church last week in Greenwich Village (of all places! ) proving once again that the Lord cannot be hidden from....anyway, at the end of mass, Fr. Gregory came up and we spoke, after talking for a few moments he handed me this CD (working for the other side.) and asked if I liked Bluegrass....I said that it was one of my passions, he smiled and said, well then hope you enjoy this. And so, the lord has worked in a way, I could never have predicted. My faith has been re energized. Thank to the brothers for their messages. I will bring myself out of my desert and fulfill my job, to use my gifts. Thank you, you’ve certainly done more than you may realize. Peace .
This is so awesome. Hope you're in a better place spiritually. These guys sure cheer me up. I also love Mahalia Jackson, another American Treasure, if you like authentic gospel. Pax et bonum!
You must have wandered into St. Joseph's, a great Catholic Church, thanks to the Dominicans. I am equally blessed to call St. Vincent Ferrer (also Dominican) my parish. I had endured many Catholic Churches in NYC who have lost their way. I thank Our Lord for leading me to St. Vincent Ferrer and to the holy priests who offer the Holy Sacrifice of Mass with utmost reverence.
This is wonderful. My heart is literally pounding twice as hard hearing these wonderful religious men perform my favorite music! God is with you, gentlemen!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I just recently discovered the HILLBILLY THOMASTS, and it's GREAT to know that I'm not the only Hillbilly Religious Brother!, performing on RUclips! God bless, Brother Charlie (Hillbilly) Pratt, O.H.
I love blue grass especially hearing these Dominicans! They seem to be filled with the joy of the holy spirit when they sing and play these religious tunes. I'm a conservative Catholic so I would not want to hear this in church, only in my car or at home.
I share your love of hearing them! I can reassure you though, I heard it from Fr Thomas Joseph White OP himself that they don't play this music in church.
The church have yo learn apologetic.is very nesesary the same way i need to learn inglish, . I AM worried about it. God bless You all this is very beautiful i love it..
