Ahh I love how this turned out & those cushions are so fab! The space looks so bright and airy now. Thank you for collaborating with me :)
I love that u give respect to old and handed down things. Thrifted things as well
one thing i noticed through the yr watching your video . i came to knw how you naruish old things and give the love it need ,handdown things are percious in your eye and so down to earth while talking about them and using them...
This is such a lovely comment 🥺 thank you so much!!
Shes a very sweet girl....now who is Nan...?? 💚😊
Lovely. Always have a generous grandmother with excellent taste. ❤️
Well done!! The nook looks so fresh and inviting for a cup of coffee!! Love your Nan - she is always helping out!! Maybe consider doing a makeover in her conservatory! :) Cheers!
I have always loved Lloyd Loom, since I was a kid. My mother had a laundry bin and 2 chairs. Wish I had them now.
This turned out so amazing. Looked so crisp and fresh.
Lloyd loom is manufactured in Menominee Michigan. My mother had a baby buggy made by them. It had wooden wheels. It was for her first child, my older sister. Who happened to just turn ninety. Her daughter had it refurbished it still is a treasure.
Congratulations. It looks fabulous ! What a beautiful, sunny area to enjoy. The cushions look great, you are much more patient than me as I would have given up (or cried !). Your home and garden are beautiful. I love how you encourage reuse, rather than buying new. I hope you invite your beautiful Nan to enjoy the new space with you. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for this video. I inherited a LL chair and laundry basket in gold from my grandma when she died. You've given me the confidence to paint them a nice bright white x
I just have to say your nan is a legend. She seems the loveliest lady. Could you do a makeover of your nan's conservatory? That's if she would like you to.
Oh my gosh .! Wouldnt that be neat...??!!!love garden" related themed decor..dobt y'all?!!😊😊🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🇺🇸🇺🇸
Turned out well. Although traditional Lloyd Loom is not wicker (ie cane, willow etc) it’s constructed of paper wound round a metal wire to create threads, which are placed on a loom and woven together (synthetic threads are often used now for outdoor furniture as they’re weatherproof)
I liked the blue but looks pretty painted white. Your Nan is a treasure trove of wonderful things.
Your table and chairs makeover turned out really well, but I love the original blue color! I know it's not your style, and you've got to love it to have it in your home.
Great video!
Thank you for the comment ☺️💕 I’m sorry I covered it, the blue was quite nice before actually. If only I could have used it in my blue bedroom I could have left it blue!
But the cream color fits better in the space!
The original Color looked cheap and the typical plasticky outdoor type furniture look
@Neil Wong you can just say you prefer the white. No need to insult the blue.
I love your content so much. I've watched Mr Carrington since he started his channel too. I'm always amazed by what comes back in fashion. I remember the day when you couldn't give things like Lloyd loom, Ercoll etc away, the days when charity shops and auctions were so cheap too 😊
I have just subscribed after hearing Mister Carrington sing your praises, and I'm glad to have discovered you! That was a really good makeover, and I particularly loved the fabric you used to sew the seat covers - great sewing skills too!
Lemon juice and salt works to clean brass and copper! Beautiful mini make over!
That turned out so pretty. Very bright with the white and I love all the plants around.
Looks fabulous! I have to admit I prefer the set dark blue but that's just personal preference. For your particular space the white looks great x
Just love what you did with the table and chairs. Lovely. I'm here from Mr. Carrington's channel.
That is an awesome thrift flip and the breakfast nook looks beautiful. Oh, and the cushions...well done!!!!
I love how the pattern of the cushion covers mimics the pattern on the rug, and the pattern on the picture frame. Very nicely done ! I'm so glad you painted over that awful blue. That color made the wicker look so dated and tired looking. The white looks so fresh and modern. tfs 💗 I always enjoy Mr. Carrington's videos and Luke's videos too :)
I've done some slipcovers and some envelope closures on pillows. It's a brilliant idea to do that on seat cushions and I thank you for posting this! I'm going to be recovering some outdoor seating that the dogs like to sit upon , sigh, and it would be so much easier to strip and wash. Great idea!
I'm so proud to announce that i managed to watch this entire series between your last updated video and this one. I now feel my life is complete with you in it. I absolutely adore you and your home and your talent. Thank you for sharing your transformation with us. 👱🏼♀️👩🏽
So beautiful! You're lucky to have your Nan.
Cushions fabulous! Great use of curtain fabric! Like the table and chair set looks like new!
Yes!!!! The two most adorable RUclipsrs collaborating again. What a treat! You are the very best xx
Wow!! It looks amazing and I'm even more blown away by how different the table and chairs look after you made them over! You would never be able to tell they were blue! You breakfast nook came out so beautiful! ❤️🥰
Love the open space but still welcoming. Good job lass.
The breakfast nook is so bright and airy! Wonderful job as always 😊
Hi Hermione wow what a difference white paint makes. Really looks nice job well done👍👍❤
You can also use ketchup to polish metals! Cheaper alternative for sure! Love what you do! You've made me realize how spray paint can totally change the feel of literally anything and it's saved me to much money
Absolutely love this, makes it look so bright. Well done.
That looks absolutely gorgeous. I was at my sons house the other day and he had two small tables he’d been using in the garden for a diy job, full of paint and looking very neglected. They were Lloyd Loom, I’m rescuing them. Lloyd Loom is not wicker though, it’s tightly twisted paper!
Twisted paper? Wow I never knew that. I love a bit of trivia 😊
It looks lovely! I love it all being a creamy white. Since I'm a minimalist, I would have a few less p lants on the window sill, more coordinating pots, but that's my own taste. You are so cle get with you DIYs!
That's supposed to be clever with you DIYs!
Looks great! You can always pin a bit of Velcro to the loose middle flap of the cushion cover to keep closed .
It’s SO bright and fresh and airy! Love it!
Wow it looks so good H! Would love to see some bright floral little cushions on the chairs in your signature colours (when you can actually shop again of course) xx
At first I was shocked you covered the beautiful blue ( I love pops of color) but it looks really well in the space! I love all these little makeover videos, can't wait for a home tour when you're all done
It's a very neutral makeover and looks crisp. I really liked the blue it was before and would have just cleaned it and added floral seats to match the blue color but then I love bright colors in clothing and accessories and some furniture!☀️😀
The wicker set is perfect for your breakfast nook and you did excellent work on the project! 👏👏👏♥️
Great Video! Love what you do with hand-me-downs. Is it just me or do we all miss your strawberry blond locks.
Your home is so beautiful Hermione and you should be so proud of your hard work. And it is hard work, I know from experience. Well done and thanks for your ideas and inspiration.
Makeover turned out amazing, suits the place perfectly.
Great stuff, well done Hermione. Love the fabric - rug combo too!
I was so sad when you painted over that lovely blue, I would have loved that. But gosh, that white looks good.
LOVE IT❤❤❤ The little nook is so bright and inviting.
just come over from Mr Carrington that was a wonderful make over will be on the look out for more of your videos xxx
I think it brightens up the kitchen as well
Beautiful! Looks like a lovely spot for breakfast and/or a cup of tea in the afternoon.
I love the refresh on the table and chairs. So nice!
The gold hardware really sets it off. 💖💖
I LIKE YOUR MAKEOVER PROJECT THE SPACE IS SO LIGHT AND AIRY YOU DID A GREAT JOB LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE NEXT ONE
Really random but your background music is always so lovely n calming...ok let watch the rest of the vid
It looks great with the new table and chairs, you did an amazing job making them over! I think your Nan's home is better than any thrift store! She has great stuff! Much love from California ❤
Just come over from Mr Carrington.
Wow your makeover of the Lloyd Loom was great and love all your decor in the surrounding area.
I shall be catching up with your Chanel now I have discovered you. :)
So lovely, airy and bright. Wonderful job! Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings - Judith
I've only one lloyd loom chair, and wanted to paint it this summer, but time flew bye, anyhow just found out that lloyd looms are not wicker but paper!!! That's what makes them so wanted. I was gob smacked. X
I actually really like the blue color the cane table was originally! But as usual you have made it beautiful H ! ♥
What a lovely breakfast nook! So cozy 🌼
Tan lindos todos tus proyectos y tú buen gusto! Gracias por compartir ☺ Saludos desde México 🇲🇽🙋
I found your channel through Mr Carrington and so glad I did!
the table and chairs were meant to be in that spot! They look awesome!
Oh it really looks nice and airy and cozy. Love the plants too. Good job!
Loved this video. Gorgeous table and chairs, they look great in your house.
The blue colour was so nice 🥺
Beautiful and what a score on the Lloyd Loom!
Your hair looks great and it's very flattering! Love your videos :)
I love it. so light and bright
Just what i needed today. All of your videos inspire to get up and do something
My favorite color is blue and that little table was so pretty as it was but we all like different things, don't we? Like a house that is mostly all white and grey, seems like everyone is painting in the same colors. Although I like neutral colors very much, there are more neutrals out there. Would love to have a space like that that is sunny for plants.
I don’t know if they sell “Jean a ma jig” where you live...it is a thicker presser foot type plate for sewing jeans. You can ask Janome for advice, too!,
It’s a cool little gadget I have used for different sewing projects. Room looks very nice!
But lovely white as well..breakfast nook beautiful
I think that looks great! Your DIY results always end up so pretty =)
Fyi, if you switch the ficus tineke over to the window that gets more sun it'll grow better!
I personally rally liked the original colour of the table. The white looks good but the blue was better
An absolutely gorgeous makeover
Oh wow it looked so good! What a lovely space 💛💛💛
This is so cozy and cute!!! I love it!
Beautiful makeover, perfectly suited for the nook! Thank you for sharing x
You are so talented, the space looks amazing. I came over from Mr Carrington, quite new to you both but looking forward to seeing more of your videos 😊
Love love your home! The room was nice before, but now it looks so fresh and bright!! I have to get out my sewing machine! You are a wiz with yours! xo
Your breakfast area looked good to begin with, but now it looks beautiful. Great job!!

Your up cycled space looks stunning! 😍😍😍Well done and enjoy 😊 Xxx
Didn’t you have a glass table way back in time, when you first transformed the breakfast nook? What happened to that table? 🙂
To cute, thank you to me carrington to tell of your channel. So enjoyed your make over 😊
Oh, I love how this turned out 😍 Your home is just beautiful too, the perfect mix of old to new! Thanks for the inspiration :)
It is a very inviting space! ❤️💕
you can clean brass wit vinegar. I use a pot and place the piece in, cover it with vinegar and heat it up on the stove top for 3 minutes and then use 0000 steel wool .there's a good video on youtube that shows how to do it
Dang girl, the amount of DIY’s in your home is so inspiring!!!! I wish I could do things like this 😊
You can! We all learn by trying. Just give it a go.
Natalie Butler That is so sweet! Thank you for the lovely encouragement! I totally want to, but honestly it’s more about not having a home I own to do such big DIY’s in. But definitely could do some of her smaller ones (if my 2 kids let me lol) 😊
Mr Carrington is awesome! I found him through you around Christmas and am a loyal subscriber now. Check out his videos with Uncle Carrington, lol. He is hilarious!
Love it, Hermione! It looks fabulous! ♥ I recently covered a couple of cushions myself, using the over flap like you did so they could be taken off to be washed, but....mine were rectangular with no extra piece needed, so easy peasy. Yours looked to be much harder to sew and they look so good! Well done, you! :)
