I feel like the original song is kind of uplifting and happy. I think of puppy love. Changing this song from a major key to a minor, along with her voice changed this to the darker, more obsessive, toxic side of love. She is soooo great. I just saw another song you should react to. She is called the Queen of Goosebumps for a reason....most people dont understand why they viscerally react like this...it is her tone, how she can produce what almost seems to be multiple voices, due to her extreme amount of harmonics she produces in her unusual anatomy and training. I think "Fastidious Horses" is something too much deep into Russian culture, a foreigner would miss %90 of the subject. I know because I am not a Russian (I am Turkish), when I watch Diana singing(or reciting) "Fastidious Horses" I could figure out a lots of good stuff going on but I could catch too little. Every nation has its own stuff which is hard for foreigners to fully grasp. I think "Zhuravli" (Cranes) is better bid, it is also very Russian, very patriotic, but Diana sings it very very plain, no tricks, no vocal show offs, nothing , but it tears up.

Hi Bob, part of Diana's rise to fame came from her winning back to back season contest's on the TV show "You Are Super" ( Like a Voice type of show for disadvantaged , and orphaned children in Russia ). At 14 she sang "Rechenka", a true masterpiece that should not be missed, and again at age 15 she sang "Wicked Game", a mesmerizing version that also is a must see. Who is Diana Ankudinova?
Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. (Height: 1,70 m/ 5,7” ) She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage.
There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started …
Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. You hear: Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (But not everyone can hear that.) Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is.
She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. You will have to go back in time, 3 yrs ago she performed a song on a talent show for disadvantaged children and orphans called “You are Super”. She sang “ Wicked Game” which is how I was introduced to her over a year ago. She had a sad beginning in her life that you will want to research and was placed in an orphanage. She had won over 40 singing competitions before coming on You are Super, she won the first year she was on it and came back the next year to compete against previous winners and won it as well.
This song she performed on the show called “ShowMaskGoOn” was a different competition where she competed against other music artist already know in Russia and at age 18 won this show a little over a month ago. I feel like the original song is kind of uplifting and happy. I think of puppy love. Changing this song from a major key to a minor, along with her voice changed this to the darker, more obsessive, toxic side of love. She is soooo great. I just saw another song you should react to. Great reaction! This performance was from a Russian show that aired last fall, and ran for 9 weeks. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course off the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles.

Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. She is called the Queen of Goosebumps for a reason....most people dont understand why they viscerally react like this...it is her tone, how she can produce what almost seems to be multiple voices, due to her extreme amount of harmonics she produces in her unusual anatomy and training. I think "Fastidious Horses" is something too much deep into Russian culture, a foreigner would miss %90 of the subject. I know because I am not a Russian (I am Turkish), when I watch Diana singing(or reciting) "Fastidious Horses" I could figure out a lots of good stuff going on but I could catch too little. Every nation has its own stuff which is hard for foreigners to fully grasp. I think "Zhuravli" (Cranes) is better bid, it is also very Russian, very patriotic, but Diana sings it very very plain, no tricks, no vocal show offs, nothing , but it tears up.

Почитайте в википедии её биографию. У неё было очень трудное детство. А что касается её творчества, боюсь, Вы уже не сможете слушать других певцов. После Дианы, голоса других певцов и певиц кажутся плоскими и пресными. Лично я от этого не страдаю, и слушаю Диану с удовольствием. Чего и Вам желаю.

Хотя одно ясно, Диана, обладая уникальным полифоническим голосом контральто с большим количеством обертонов и широчайшим диапазоном, способностью одновременно произносить несколько голосов, уникальна и ка артист эстрады, хотя, исполняя композиции, она не играет роль, она проживает каждую песню, пропускает ее через свое сердце, дарит ее нам с частичкой своей любви.
