Change strings on the Cort to 11-52 Phosphor bronze, and it will give the Taylor a run for the money.. it really makes the Cort 06 sing sweet tunes.. I did that on mine.. huge improvement.
Thanks for your opinion! The Cort is a great option. Price / quality is amazing. It's also All-Solid Torrified top compared to only Solid Top of the Taylor.
Thanks for sharing, indeed it's probably because of the torrified top, All-Solid construction and premium appointments. The Taylor is not All-Solid and costs more if you believe it or not... Overpriced in many people's opinion
i am planning on buying the cort gold 06 but on a video a guy is telling not to buy cort guitars specially the oc8 because of poor finish - string height ..he said the strings are still high even after adjusted.. i still love the cort sound so much but im confused now.. my reasons for getting a new guitar is because of the string height(ok on the lower frets but pretty high on the higher frets) on my current acoustic guitar.. i dont want to have the same problem again..if you could clarify.. thnx
Well, this can happen with any guitar brand. It depends what the humidity change is and many factors that can affect the neck angle. But it shouldn't be on a new guitar. My action on my Cort Gold O6 and OC8, is a good one 2 mm on the Low E, 1.5 mm on the High E. I would advise you to try before you but if you can... But Gold series is a great one from Cort, and I'd recommend it as many people
Thanks man! Obviously they both also feel great. The neck is wider 45 mm on the Cort and 43 mm on the Taylor. But both feel pretty specious enough for Fingerstyle. I would say my preference would be the Cort but the Taylor feels great also. The Cort is also a thinner body so it's more comfortable to play.
@@johntrik Thank you, indeed they're very nice. The EXP were also great. Olson is one of my favourit guitar builders, but couldn't afford it ... for the price, indeed the Cort has some of that vibe
Taylor! They sound somewhat alike though the edge goes to Taylor , but the electronics system on the Taylor is vastly superior. The playability and setup of the Taylor is much better. The Taylor has more cache and so the resale is much better. The Taylor comes with a nice deluxe gig bag. No comparison with the Cort.
You're right about the resale value for the Taylor, but concerning built quality, the 114 is laminated B&S, compared to the All-Solid woods from Cort O6, Torrified Top, High End appointments like golden Grover open tunners, Frets really well done, rounded at corners, and Thin UV High gloss finish compared to the Satin on the Taylor. Also these two both came with no electronics, no pickup. But many people don't like the Taylor Es2 pickup system, and prefer something like K&K pure mini or LRBaggs Anthem...
Taylors are louder, clear sounding with more overtones, but in a bad way. I always thought of Taylor as the Ibanez of acoustic guitar world. They are technically excellent, but also very generic. Cort sounds organic.
@petarkosovic6455 Thanks for your comment! Well said, both Taylor and Cort guitars have they're place in the market and people will prefer one over another or get both 😁
Thanks for your comment! They both have their strengths and weekneses but for the same money would you rather have a Name or would you rather have an All-Solid Torrified Top, amazing appointments like Golden Grover Vintage tunners, Perl Inlays, Bone nut and saddle, Ebony bridge pins, Reinforced neck, Thin UV gloss coating, Rolled frets and amazing action ... Astonishing what Cort can offer for the same money while Taylor gives you a simple entry level guitar. But they both sound nice in their own way.
@@77guitarts22yeah the Cort actually sound better and feel good to keep around for a long time because of All Solid , looks pretty and other nice stuff. While the Taylor 114 just feel and look like a practice guitar that you want to trade up when you have the money
I went to guitar center 4 years ago and a man call petter told me I have a nice guitar for u that guitar was a cort gold 06 nat I remember i pay 250 used but wass like new this guitar is all solid beautiful sound amazing if you play it you don’t want take it out still have it. Taylor guitar amazing to
0:01 Cort Fingerstyle
0:20 Taylor Fingerstyle
0:41 Cort Strumming 1
1:02 Taylor Strumming 1
1:23 Cort Strumming 2

WOW . . . that Cort sounds the business.
Yes, it's an amazing Guitar on sound, appointments and cost
I definitely liked this Cort 👍

Thanks for the advice! I did that also with XS 11s, and it rings wonderful
Cort all the way. I’ve been wanting this guitar.
Thanks for your opinion! The Cort is a great option. Price / quality is amazing. It's also All-Solid Torrified top compared to only Solid Top of the Taylor.
For me this Cort have something better in the sound. Maybe more amplitude in the sound.

Cort is the better sounding guitar

The poor finishing thing I never heard of and certainly my two Gold guitars and another one D8 I tried, had imaculate finish.
@@77guitarts22 thanks alot man.. my problem is i cant try before buying.. i have to order online.. but now i will definitely go for it.. thnx again..
Welcome! Hope you will get a good one! Usually they have a free return for new products so if you find problems you can return it anyway.
Just learn how to adjust the action of your guitar, not a big deal. With proper set up a 100 dollar proper guitar will be a blast to play
Nice man. Both Sounds good. But feel and playing wise which is better?

Хорошее сравнение све слышно Тейлор более мягкий по звуку Корт более плотный
Please let me know in the comments what do you think, What was your favourite?
What strings you are playing ??? Cort is more balanced throughout the register !
12s XT D'addario PB on the Cort, and 12s Elixirs 80/20 on the Taylor... I know it was ideally to have the same on both but couldn't do it on these.
@@77guitarts22D Addarios XT are amazing strings !!! i d dare to say that the Cort has some of the James Taylor' s Olson vibe on it !!! Great choice !

Ottime tutte e due Taylor non giustifica il suo prezzo
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, indeed, there are better options new for the money. I've got it used on a very good price...

??? What do you mean?
The Cort luce 300vf is a nice OM Style that's more vintage in style. Maybe compare with these.
Только cort полный массив а taylor гибрид)!
