      Well, it is always nice to have different options. Cause in closed cabin there is no opportunity to provide tacktile check, so we use open basket Elephants MY as well.

    Shouldn't de-icing start at the top points (fuselage/fin) and then the wings and stabilizer? In essence, by treating the wing/stabilizer first, you then re-contaminate it when processing the fin/fuselage. This is an overconsumption of de-icing fluid.
    At our airport, the fin / fuselage is first processed, and then the wing / stabilizer.

    • @airdmitrij7286
      @airdmitrij7286  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! After deicing fuselage in such cases we make sure that nothing left on wings and tail. Check. Safety and timing were followed.
      Otherwise we have to drive back from fuselage to start from the winglet and spend time for driving without spraying.
      SO, we always take into account common sense, which depends on specific situation like weather conditions, type of treatment required, time, etc to provide safe and efficient procedure.
      But I agree, in most cases the standard process is to start from the highest point and go down.

      Thank you for feedback, I appreciate it!
      For many years in airBaltic we use Clariant fluids as very reliable.
      Clariant Safewing de/anti-icing fluids: Type1/water mixture for 1 step and Type2 undiluted 100% for second step in two steps procedure. Water is always minimum 60 C hot of course as mandatory required by Authorities.
      Safety first!

      Since the season 2023-24 our station in RIX (Riga, Latvia) we switched to Kilfrost Type I and Type II. Time needed to understand the difference.

      @@airdmitrij7286 Тоже приветствую Вас из Москвы! Согласен что критика дает возможность улучшить свои навыки. Сама процедура противообледенительная обработка отличается российской от европейской. Они начинают с киля/фюзеляжа так как киль это и есть самая верхняя точка и затем фюзеляж и потом крыло стабилизатор. Мы так не работаем у нас допустим, кабина, до крыла фюзеляж, затем переезжаем на крыло, потом киль если есть в заказе, фюзеляж, стабилизатор. Везде по своему работают. Вы на какой технике работаете?

    You'd better put a camera on the machine instead of your head to see better wings, so that there will be no ice left. Btw you speak Russian and your colleague too. But you keep whineing abiut Russophobia in Latvia. Like many other Russians who live there and in Germany, rance, et cetera.

      Btw do you blame me and my colleagues in whining about "russophobia" in Latvia?
      How do you make sense about this statement if I myself by nationality am Russian, who was born in Latvia, have a citizenship of the Republic of Latvia, can speak fluently Eng, Lat, Rus? Please, think next time before comment!
