Awesome video. Very easy to follow. My window was stuck in the up position making it very difficult to access the screws holding the glass. I chose to carefully drill 2 holes through the panel big enough for the screwdriver to undo them. Also my new regulator came in a high position (but not the same position) so I reconnected the switch and put it down to where I could see them before inserting the glass. Also rather than removing the glass entirely I just taped it up so it couldn’t fall down.
Use caution when removing the door handle as the plastic cup has a knub on the forward part that slides into the metal frame of the door. Breaks off easily!
+1A Auto Parts You should make a video on how to remove it with the window up and the motor not working, like my situation. I eventually found that it's impossible to unscrew the glass from the regulator if the window is stuck up, BUT there is a way. Apparently the only solution, at least the one that worked for me. Is to destroy the motor, all you have to do is pull the covers of the motor and then pull the wire line out of it so the regulator can roll down nd you can unscrew it. Hope this helps someone with this problem, you might need a partner to ensure the glass won't fall quickly when the wire is free, otherwise it will break and will be a pain. Also hope 1A Auto replies and comment to this comment.

This excellent video has helped me more than once. But I have a question. When you completely removed the door glass, there are 2 white plastic clips that stay with the window. Do you have them? I don't even know what to call them, but if they're loose or stripped, the window shifts in the channel and has to be pulled towards the rear of the car as you raise it all but the last 3 inches or so. If you have them, I'll buy them. If you don't buy have any info, let me know. Thanks.
Good Video. Although I do not own the same model but generally it is about the same for any car, The structure, mounting and all the other parts on the removing and replacing the window winder and about the same I reckon. Thanks

I need to replace one in the rear driver side door of a 2003 XL-7 - as I understand it, they are different parts between the front and rear doors. Would this video cover the replacement of one of the rear door regulators? Is the process similar enough?
+E Withak Thanks for watching! The process may be a bit different on the rear doors for your XL-7, but should be helpful enough to tackle the project! 1aauto.com.

Thank you. Very helpful. I just might try to replace my window regulator now that I've seen the process, rather than going to a mechanic.
Thank you thank you step by step directions very easy took me 35 minutes to do and I'm not handy at all

My driver side window is slow going up. Is that a worn out motor or is there something I can lube to make it faster?
+Allen McKinney Thanks for watching! It could be a weak motor, but you won't know until in you inspect the part first! 1aauto.com
