wow, today's vlog was exceptional. Perhaps the best one to date. The B-rolls actually served a purpose and progressed the story in a natural way. There was great content--I felt that we saw a complete story. The editing was different because many of the cuts actually switched to a different scene and therefore both showed us great variety as well as progressing the story. Usually your cuts happen often within one scene (just cutting from one view to another within the same scene). The music was on par and really tied everything together beautofully. The ONE bad thing though is that you still tell us too much about some stuff relating to the edits--e.g. when you say "lets spin to Calabasas", you shouldn't say this but rather just spin because it is more organic in that way. Also, don't tell us "we forgot to say goodbye". Just pick up the camera and say your last lines and outro and the "Ciao", so that it all feels like one whole story. When you point out these things, "let's spin" or "we forgot to say..." it breaks up the story too much. Hope that you don't find this too negative--I'm just trying to bring some constructive criticism. Keep up the beautiful work.

adolicious you are right, it would make the story going on smoother, but i kind of like it when he says something like "we forgot to..". these comments on what he is doing work like a behind the scenes and make the vlog more authentic, i feel closer to them

hmmm..,I agree but also disagree with what you are saying. It is true, it does break apart the flow of the story when they say such stuff but it also makes it so much more authentic when they say it since it comes so natural. It's like a "small mistake" and because we are human beings this makes me feel related to the video even more :-)

The shot at 9:19 with the dog is sooo good. Was my highlight of the vlog today. Watching it, I had a feeling it was a bit more of a random vlog than others. (Probably because you didn't had specific plans.) But overall I liked it, maybe in the next days you could show some cool stuff in LA. (Don't know if there is a lot of cool stuff to show in LA :P ).
The slomo shots of the grill looked like a commercial of a burger restaurant. Awesome shots, especially the b-rolls!

Jon, with the thousands of people that watch your vlog everyday, you should really be advocating a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. The amount of plastic and other waste you all consume is not a good example that you should be setting. Personally, I love your vlogs and look up to you but I am extremely bothered by all the waste you consume everyday. (For example the coffee mugs you drive to get each day in LA, you could bring mugs from home, and when you know you are going shopping you can bring your own bags) Am I the only one that thinks Jon can improve on this?

He has some videos where he talks about the money. I don't know all the details: Jon was a pro skier for more than 10 years and had several companies that he started. i think he sold one and now works most of the time on a bag company called "douchbags". (I don't think he makes to much out of youtube, since he travels so much and has a filmer which he pays for).
also, he is still sponsored by Red Bull and other big brands. He might not be making too much profit with the vlog right now, but it will make him millions a year in the long-term. if someone was spending 100-300k a year just on traveling, food and fun, I´d say he is crazy. But if you still have the money to buy a Rolls after that, you probably could spend a lot more... ;)
I do not think the LeoVegas sponsorship is even in the same league than his other deals, he only promoted them a couple of times with banners on his cars, etc. If you compare that to the Red Bull sponsorship, I would highly doubt that LeoVegas is his biggest sponsor.
Could you do a cinematic vlog? ^^ So 21:9 aspect ratio. 1920x840 or even better 4096x1755 :D

Hey Jon, i have an idea, you should start giving away some little gifts. for example some camo hats with a Jon Olsson logo (JO) printed in the front, a little Jon smiling face key-chain or a printed Jon t-shirt just a three simple gifts packed in a good looking camo box. this could be the start of a new Jon Olson brand maybe in the future. you can make a fan of the week or fan of the month competition and the winner gets the gift box.
