    Another great location that I have visited several times. Definitely an early morning shoot before the hordes of kids arrive. Sunsets can be a challenge with kids of all ages on rocks. Have you ever visited the Bridestones between Burnley and Hebden bridge? A cracking location without the amount of kids. Very surprised you have not done a few mono conversions. These type of images really lend themselves to a mono treatment IMAO😎😊😊

    Great enthusiasm and even better video and images.
    As far as a filming location, I know they were used in the Bee Gees video for 'You win again' (yes I'm a sad 80's music nerd lol)
    To the person asking about the location, Summerbridge near Harrogate and Ripley in North Yorkshire.

    as much as those rocks are impressive you need to come to Dartmoor where there are 115 tors at least you can wildcamp there under certain rules and no overnight parking is allowed but i think you will be impressed ,great videos by the way .

    • @paulcomptonpdphotography
      @paulcomptonpdphotography  5 лет назад

      It’s why I don’t make big plans because they loose so many visitors not allowing overnight parking. You say can wild camp so how do you do that if there is no over night parking

      @PhillTicehurst 5 лет назад +1

      @@paulcomptonpdphotography when i say no overnight parking your not allowed to sleep in a caravan or mobile home on the side of the road ,but you can park a car ,its to stop Dartmoor becoming a caravan site and keeping Dartmoor what it is and thats a place of isolation and and a wilderness and tranquility.

    Although some of it is erosion wind/rain most of it is glacial action. Glaciers roll rocks like a big icy river which rounds them off and then as the glacier slowly melts the rocks settle on top of each other. Varies from rock type to rock type (metamorphic, igneous,sedimentary), this looks like sedimentary gritstone, glacier size, weight, temperature - lots of variables. (or its giant fossilised cowpats...)
    Geology is one of the best leads to successful landscape photography. You can 'see' the landscape from a geological map -the lie of the land - before going to google maps/photos to get inspiration for shoot sites.

    Paul: I have to say that I enjoy your 'folksy' Brit approach in all your vlogs. In this video there was clearly lots of potential images, but one that you might have passed up is the 'captured' rock behind you at 22:51. The #themanyseflies was clever. One of my favourites was the "family photo" at 27:38. Cheers.
