A couple of things to mention. If you are shipping to Europe (for the USA i don't know) you basically need to triple or quadruple the price for a cheap car (up to 10.000 euro), double the price for an average priced car (15.000 - 40.000 euro), take +70% for an above average priced car (40.000 - 75.000), and take +50/55% for a car in the high price range (75.000 +). Why? Shipping and transport costs, auction costs, administrative costs, port costs, EU import costs, technical costs to get the car approved/homologated for Europe and VAT are substantial costs As well, Dubai cars that were impounded are often in quite a bad shape and badly maintained , both technically and optically, and the wear is more excessive in Dubai due to heat, sand and sunlight exposure. So you will have to calculate serious additional costs in order to get the car in proper condition. And of course, you need to take into consideration the risk attached to buying in a foreign country a car that you have never seen yourself. You might end up with a car that is unfixable or has extreme high costs to it. My experience is that the true value can be attained for young exclusive cars in good condition (with little work) that are upwards of 100.000 euro in sales price in Europe. For other vehicles the advantage is not that great while the work and risk attached to it still is substantial. Just my 2 cents.
Do you have experience importing into EU? Cost of transport isn't that high, I'd imagine less than 2000e. In Poland the VAT for registration of a foreign vehicle is about 23% and then you've got compliance costs (if applicable). When looking at the price of local prices within EU, even considering those additional costs, the price is still substantially lower. The only unknown for me is the compliance costs, I know certificate of conformity makes things easier, but I don't know how readily available those documents are from sellers.

Good thing for dealers/manufacturer wholesalers the only thing we need is clearance from the government for ports, shipping fees which ranges from 2k to 2500 usd, and that's it. Transaction would be considered dealer to dealer. Once sold, then taxes would be added on

Fixing a Ferrari is only a problem when you have to buy parts and when you have to have a Ferrari certified mechanic work on it, but one of the only cars that can increase in value pretty much as soon as you buy it due to limited production.

About that clickbait ferrari: your crashed/broken california is 30K, import fees, tax, transport 2k, total 45-50K. Repair cost UNKNOWN. documentation most likely not present. probably only 1 key etc.
Or you go to the second hand market in germany or italy and get one for 65K, with 2 keys, with all the documentation, service info...

The spec of the car seems to be a greater issue, the prices for most cars in Dubai are pretty much compared to EU. If you import it you have compliance issues if it's not EU spec. I don't know how difficult it will be to resolve that.

Buy an abandoned car just like that as the or owner has to be found and sign the car over ,which is not as simple as it sounds as most owe a massive debt ,,,in fact 1 auction housemaster vacancies £60.000 annual tax free plus % of the auction sale price all you have to do is find/trace the owner
