Kalerks.
Alam ko'ng maraming magagalit sakin pero sa totoo lang, I actually agree with her. She's just telling it like it is. Di naman yan pangmamaliit sa mga Pilipino. That's just her job to tell our Ppop hopefuls kung maayos ang ginagawa nilang trabaho.

Well, in my opinion, it depends on who you are... For instance, if you are one of the sponsors of the show in which your reputation is at stake then it is alright because she is just pointing out the mistakes of the performers and as one of the candidates competing for that competition then it is your responsibility to everything in your power to improve and taking those comments will help you improve as a performer... that competition is not for those people who can only complain and not do something to improve himself because it is for those people who are willing to do anything to improve and take any comments and suggestions on how he can improve himself. and if you are just an observer or the person itself then yes it is harsh because pointing out things that you can improve on can still be done without using harsh words when saying it and by the way she talks, it will naturally hurt you... I want to say to the participants, you can't change the perception of a person to you by complaining about it. The only thing you can do is improve yourself and prove to that person that she is wrong... that's what I think and I just want to say that this is just my opinion, so if it is hurtful for you plss forgive me in advance... Sana manalo

So here is the deal. For those who didn't know, these boys have no proper training whatsoever. They auditioned with their raw talent and skills. Unlike in Korea, we can take Produce 48 (back in 2018) as an example, where their contestants are representatives from an entertainment agency. Meaning they underwent training already and prepped for the competition. Going back to this competition, the show doesn't have contestants under any entertainment agency because they aren't proponents here. Currently, there isn't any solid network for that type of industry yet in the Philippines (However, they might be for example Cornerstone, Viva, and SBtown). So, it is already expected that most of them would have little to no experience in performing other than contestants who already HAVE experience (an example would be Marcus: Ranked 3: who performed at theaters at a very young age, and Jeromy & Wilson who were in a dance group) and potential visuals such as (JayR and Kyler). But looking at Produce48 and Dream Maker, even some of the contestants from Produce 48 given under an entertainment agency still failed to please BYJ and some of her comments are even questioning whether they're good enough despite their training. However, in the case of Dream Maker, she deliberately said that she already EXPECTED this kind of quality from them but she wants to see the mindset, discipline, and willingness of these boys (maybe that is something lacking in the Filipino entertainment industry) to become an idol. Now look at it this way, BYJ wouldn't be cast as a judge in this competition if they knew she wasn't legit. We don't even know if she agreed to be one in the first place. But she along with her other mentors are just doing their job because of the gravity of creating a pop group. They don't want to debut a laughingstock full of idols. So my take is that some commenters that say "she went too far" or "she's too blunt, insensitive, and racist?" are just people who aren't aware of this type of production or just simply ignorant. But in my case, I'm honestly glad that these Korean mentors are sharing their ways of finding and training idols. Given what the K-pop industry has accomplished throughout the years. Filipinos are innately talented people but I guess we just lack that kind of quality training system. So please, don't bash the show because it is a milestone for the future of ppop search standards.

Yung kahit di naman talaga satisfactory yung performance pero pupurihin pa rin para lang di tayo makasakit, it can be a good thing pero it's a hinder talaga towards sa process of improvement.
We should not take all criticisms as a negative thing. Honest lang naman sya and objective naman yung sinabi nya, hindi naman sya nang berate ng pagkatao, pure on skills lang yung pinuna. We should actually have more people like her, kaya andaming sa talents na artista sa pinas yung mediocre eh, mukha lang kadalasan puhunan nung mga sumisikat dito sa pinas kaya hanggang pinas lang sila.
Bae Yoonjung is the teacher of many successful kpop idols, we should actually learn from them on how they made their kpop idols to be successful. Also, gentle reminder lang SB19 received the same strict and honest feedbacks like this and look at how well they do now because of the training methods of koreans.

No favoritsm whatsoever kasi gusto lang nya yung the best for the trainees. If simple criticism lang di na kaya ng trainees, then they shouldn't have auditioned in the first place kasi mas harsh pa mga sasabihin ng bashers once you debut. Mas ok na harsh criticism from your trainer ang makuha mo because in that way you'll know where you are lacking and what you should work on, kesa naman sa mismong mga tao na ang harsh sasabihin sayo kasi you're not good enough to debut. And I agree, as an a'tin and showbt artists stan, talagang tumaas na ang standards ko when it comes to filipino idols. Maybe because nasanay lang ako sa mga stan ko na kpop and ppop groups but none of the trainees on the show are that great GREAT if u know what I mean. They're good but that's it, some aren't even cut off for debuting kasi malaki nagla-lack pa talaga. Having BYJ, along with the other korean mentors like Jea on the show is actually a great move because filipinos have the talent but what we're lacking is the training. Even yung most ppop groups like sb19 and other groups talagang dumaan ng strict korean training just to get where they are now. Swerte pa nga ng trainees now kasi well-known dancer and trainer si BYJ and talagang isa sa mga best trainers you'll ever have. She may seem strict but she's one of the most compassionate trainer you'll ever see. And as for the attitudes of the korean mentors, I think yan lang yung way nila para mapush pa yung mga dreamers na pag-igihan kasi nga naman hindi lang basta bastang grupo ang binubuo nila. Ito ang masasabi ko rito:
If you don't have a strict judge, mentor or coach, at nagsu-sugarcoat lang yung nagtuturo sayo, there might be a chance na hindi mo seseryosohin yung ginagawa mo, and it will be such an epic fail.
Based na rin yan in my own experience, since naranasan kong sumayaw ng festival dance, zumba, and folk dance during my junior and high school days. Noong grade 8 ako, sumayaw kami ng pandanggo rinconada, and seriously, strict yung nagtuturo sa amin like kung kailangang paluin, papaluin talaga; but in the end, nagawa namin nang mahusay yung sayaw namin. In 11th grade, isa ako sa naging mapalad na makasama sa festival dance na ginawa namin para sa provincial athletic meet here in Laguna. At the first place, ayos lang ang lahat, but then, since hindi maka-cooperate yung iba, dun na nag-umpisang maghigpit yung mga coaches namin; and umabot sa point na paulit-ulit-ulit kami, like matatagalan pa bago kami mag-water break.

I feel like yung mga Korean trainers tulad nila BYJ and other trainers sa Korean entertainment agencies talagang sobrang strict sila and straightforward, like kung may napansin silang di nila nagustuhan o di bet, talagang deretsahan nilang sasabihin.
They are now touring internationally and now babalik sila for their homecoming tour and meron pang isang tour. Pati din BGYO and BINI. Two years din sila nagtrain and ilang hours din pagod nila kakapractice.. and where are they? They now have successful singles out! Di man sila ganun kasuccessful yet as SB19, but I'm sure one day, they'll reach the top. Factor lang talaga na struggling ngayon ang ABS because of their franchise at limited lang ang way ng promotions nila. But I'm sure BGYO and BINI will reach the same success as how SB19 did.
Kaya it's a breath of fresh air, and I hope it's the start of improving our music industry and how we mold new artists that surely would make us proud of being a Filipino 🇵🇭🙌

I am just hoping na hindi luto tung contest nato kasi mostly sa mga nanalo sa Produce 101 etc. is nagbayad or sasabihin na natin ipapanalo talaga nila kasi siya yung gusto ng mas nakakataas. Bakit ba ang hilig natin i-associate bansa natin with korea?
Look at how successful SB19 now... garnered so many awards and recognition, not just locally but also internationally, such as Billboard, MTV, Wish Awards, Awit Awards, Myx, etc...
SB19 is working so hard to establish PPOP (PINOY POP, a sub-genre of OPM) for it to be known all over the world. They just ended their 2022 world tour last week and it was so successful - sold out concerts in New York and Los Angeles...and guess what? A lot of non-Filipino fans attended their concert! Hello??? If only u would give them a chance and listen to their songs, u will know that they are very pinoy!
I mean, if SB19 is not ur cup of tea, then that's totally okay! But u don't have to bash them!
BTS became so successful worldwide not only bec of their talent and hardwork, but also bec of the support of their fellow countrymen...
I'm not comparing... BTS is BTS, SB19 is SB19.. but if only we can also support SB19 and other PPOP groups ALAMAT, KAIA, G22, 1STONE, BGYO, BINI,etc....may mararating tayo! 💙

Performances palang. Kaya nga nagustuhan ko rin sb19. Tignan mo trained like kpop artist ang gagaling tuloy ✌️✌️

Tama talaga yung sinabi ni Bae Yoon Jung. She has a big reputation in kpop industry and that's why she's looking for more effort and professionalism because, she's already a legend when it comes in mentoring and teaching choreographies to the known kpop groups. Her standard is very high, I'll tell you. Example. At di sya nabigo.

Yung mga contestant kasi diyan, akala nila enjoy enjoy lng sila or it's a temporary thing for them, "for the experience" lng kung baga, at napapalibutan ng blind supporters kaya akala nila magaling na sila (o ginagamit lng na stepping stone ang show para magka gig), so yan ang result ng performance nila. Hindi nila naintindihan ang pinapasok nila. Most successful kpop groups, even SB19, the group is their life. Most of their childhood is spent perfecting themselves. These boys? They didn't invest enough of their life to this, that's why pa-easy easy lng. And I think BYJ saw that. She's probably already regretting being in the show. Hopefully this is gonna be a wake up call to these guys and we'll see a huge improvement. Looking forward to the final lineup!

Worth it yan sa dulo

I think she likes to bring out "authenticity" from the trainees. They will be a "P-Pop" representative, hindi k-pop. Wag gayahin, instead use it as an inspiration.
Those guys wants to be in the music industry, mild pa lang yang experience nila Kay Yoonjung.

But I’m glad, based sa mga other comments about BYJ ay naiintindihan siya. Kasi Given naman na talaga yung talent mostly sa mga Pinoy, kailangan na lang ng someone na magpupush sa kanila to their limits like BYJ.
But what I like about dream maker is the diversity of the judges/mentors like may namumuna ng mistakes and meron ding nagpupush at naniniwala na na kaya pa nilang magimprove. Of course kailngan naman talaga natin ng criticism sa buhay to GROW kaso ang criticism ay pwedeng maging CONSTRUCTIVE or DESTRUCTIVE. Minsan sa sobrang toxic ng IBANG criticism di mo maiiwasang MAGDUDA sa kakayanan mo kaya I suppose kailangan din naman ng lahat ng KAHIT ISANG tao ng ENCOURAGEMENT not to give false hope but to let them know that someone APPRECIATES them. I think enough na yun para magpatuloy.❤

Yung Famous word ni Lisa that took the internet by storm(Hindi to exact ha but similar) "Did I told you to smile?😒" kapag iba nag sabi nun big deal yun but Lisa kinda turned it into a meme(P.S not saying na mali sinabi nya ha pero totoo naman she was just labeled strict Hindi naman"Terror") Sabi nga ng ibang mga Amerikano (Sampled opinion)Hindi marunong comomprehend ng prangka ang mga Pinoy at simpleng komento napipikon kaagad. And if what she said is true at opinyon nyayun so what?? She's being straight forward , For me ha Hindi to ganun kasakit if inintindi mo and foresee it as a guide for the betterment of your career and totoo naman"Mahiya naman kayo sa mga taong gustong tumuntong dito pero hindi kaya" Diba? Kahit ano payung komento , Show it not just state it that you deserve it, Ika nga nila"Ipakita mo!", Although again we should be careful sa mga sinasabi natin kahit pa komento lang yun for them to improve words do hurt at hindi sa lahat ng oras they'll absorb it in a way na gagalingan nila, trauma rin yan eh.

for me po kuya claro, yes harsh po ang mga sinabi ng korean judge na si bae yoonjung, pero naging straight forward or honest lang po sya about sa mga hindi bagay sa kanya o yung dapat nyang iwasan ng mga soon to be international or global idol dahil international nga, madaming kang magiging haters ,you want people to acknowledge your talents hindi ung mistakes na habol ng mga haters kung nakamit mo na ang spotlight. Kase if a mentor or trainer is not straight forward or sinasabi ngang "harsh" hindi mo makukuha ung chance na iimprove ang dapat iimprove or ichange ang iyong style or concepts. I think kailangan pa ng mentors na kagaya nya, kase nga sabi ni lisa(a blackpink member) na strict ang kanyang mentor or dance teacher and tignan mo ung nakamit nya, good ang maging straight forward or honest para mafocus lang sa goal ang mga trainee or the boys na magdebut and magpraktis ng magpramtis and give every performance their very best para hindi makatanggap ng harsh statement na nagpapababa ng self confidence nila. Hindi naman maganda ang sobra sobrang pagcompliment or pagfocus lang sa mistakes or bad sides ng performances mag bigay rin sana ng compliments about the good side of the performance dapat hindi lang puro sa mistakes nakafocus kase baba ng baba tlga ang confidence nila dapat haluan ren ng compliments para medj ma boost ang confidence.
