Shoutout to DigitalDan and his buddies, they had the courage to ride Hero 80-something times in a row for charity
Yeah he’s a ledgend for that he’s also probably one of the most underrated and entertaining coaster RUclipsrs of all time
Echo that
@@liljim_8845^^^
He’s my go to European RC enthusiast on RUclips.
@@The8BitNerdbro he is my overall go to coaster enthusiast.
This park has needed a wooden coaster for many years (Planned one in 2006) So i hope they get something like that next, This park is definitely on the rise!
a GCI would be so good here- i feel like that’s the aggression the park needs- as sik is the most aggressive ride there, and that’s mostly just the corkscrews and the other inversions- gravity groups have strong air and can be aggressive like the family ones especially but gci is usually moreso
THE LOCH NESS JOKES SENT ME 💀💀 Love me some home park humor!
This is the best RUclips series and I’m proud to have a coastin thru Europe poster in my room!
Sad that the UK vlogs are over, but the good news is that there is still more to come! Flamingoland looks like a super underrated theme park!
That custom SLC is super interesting looking
Good to see you stepping your game up, those were some truly stellar visual effects starting at 22:34.
LOL thank you thank you, it took us 5 minutes
This park has a lot of potential, and is a park where I could see a woodie/rmc fitting well! Great vlog guys!
There is a UK RUclipsr that rode Hero 87 times for charity, DigitalDan is a madman!
"Sik Silk is a popular clothing brand here in the UK"..... Nope! 99% of people had never heard of them before this ride opened XD
Flamingo Land is a fun park but it does have some super janky rides!! It's all part of the charm though.
I am one of a few people that have, friend owns the company, happy to have this as my home park
Sik silk was a popular brand in 2016. Idk if you were too young or too old to remember but it definitely was a popular clothing brand
@@jakob8646 I'm gonna say too old. I'm 37 and had legit never heard of them and neither had anyone I'd spoken with at the time.
it's usually pretty hard to avoid seeing trends even if they aren't for me though.
Ah well the coaster's awesome regardless of sponser haha
I’ve always loved all of the vlogs you put out coaster studios especially your European and Australian vlog and I just want to say keep up the great work! I have your Coastin through Europe poster and this is how we roll! I live for your channel just keep up the amazing work!
So nice of you giving Dino some love and the opportunity to let you ride along. Pretty sure he was very bored and enjoyed some action.
If you're talkin about Dino Roller, I chilled out with him on my recent visit to Flamingo Land! He was in fact my 49th cred - and Hero was my 50th, because why the hell not?
What a great way to end off the British leg of Coastin' Through Europe! Can't wait for the Spanish, Belgian and French parks :)
Something about that Double Decker bus and feeling like you don't know where you're going is one of my favorite parts of traveling.
Not sure if you can tell by my pfp, but I'm a bit of a bus nerd hahahaha and from Britain
I’ve spent way too much time in those Hero cages😅
still not enough...
Those rolls at the end of Sik are crazy with the lapbars, the hangtime on them is insane. It's a really nice pacey coaster, the difference between it and Colossus is night and day.
Uk has 2 custom SLCs there is on at Fantasy Island which has currently the UKs tallest inversion.
The advice for riding an SLC is something I have known for sometime now and it really helps prevent head banging on those bulky restraints. Especially for shorter people, try it the next time you ride one. Nice vlog in the series keep them coming.
Great having yous here in Great Britain!
I’m sure that vlog will be pretty sik.
lmao the Loch Ness monster photo at 22:40-22:43. Loved your vlogs as always. :)
And so, the UK leg comes to an end. Thanks for taking us on the journey so far, it's been really cool to see your take on our local parks! Looks like you had a reasonable day at Flamingo Land, and glad you appreciated Sik. Definitely the stand-out there. Honestly, I don't think the custom SLC (Kumali) runs anywhere near as bad as most of the standard models. I rode it a couple of times towards the middle of the train, and barely got any jolts through the inversions. Don't get me wrong, it's no B&M invert, but worth a try. Hero on the other hand is probably the worst coaster I've ever done.
Always enjoyable vids :)
This looks like such a fun park! Great atmosphere
Last time I was here they had Magnum Force (which then moved to Mexico as Quimera, and now All American Triple Loop at Indiana Beach), and the Bullet, which also moved to Mexico somewhere. Velocity had only just opened too!
Great video! Looked like a good park! I'd love to go on a cruise on Loch Ness and see Nessie!
I really like this park from how it looks, I'm glad you guys went.
great vid man!
Ohh cool! I live in York, hope you guys enjoyed it here!
i love Flaming O Land! So many flaming os!
Yeah, that’s sik!
Awesome blog❤❤❤❤
What a nice location surprise towards the end.
The lockness coaster train was lol
This has to be my favorite intro every
I had to chortle at your 'no shade anywhere' comment... trust me.. in the UK the days you need shade like that can be counted on one hand over a decade!!!.. more is the point.. is there anywhere to get out of the rain!😂
I’m so glad you made it to Scotland. If your ever here again, I’d love to show you around ❤ I work in Edinburgh and live beside the kelpies and Falkirk wheel ❤
Yay 😁 cool video
this is my closest park :D planning on going here hopefully before the seasons up.
"Sik" was originally supposed to be built at a park in Brazil called "Hopi Hari", where it sat in storage from 2012 to 2017. Then it was sold a park in Malaysia called "Movie Animation Park Studios
" which also never got built, until "Flamingoland" purchased the ride in 2020, which the contruction caused a lot of delays due to the pandemic until it finally opened in July 2, 2022.
The most underrated park in the UK. Has a nice lineup of coasters and flats. Needs a little bit of sprucing up though, areas are looking dated for sure
Operations and ride availability let it down though. Just imagine if it had some proper investment on things like theming, staff, and infrastructure like benches and a bit of shade in the park.
as a brazillian i'm still very grieving about hopi hari's 10i leaving us before it was built and ending up in the uk. if i ever visit this park i will leave with several suitcases that definitely do not contain every part of sik!
thats some good editing
You have to be a hero to ride hero.... its famous for being the countrys worst coaster and ironically draws people to it because of that :)
One thing you've missed was the old carroussel playing the original Rollercoaster Tycoon carroussel theme.
What Sarah did on the SLC, the leaning your head to one side, is what I do on rides like Mystery Mine and stuff like that. It works.
Here’s my idea: Have the “quad roll” of the 10-inversion creation placed inside a tunnel!
I also put my head forward and push haha It does work!
I really hope you guys go to Oakwood in wales
I've been on an Enterprise that used the Volare style cages and that flar ride was a lot of fun. It used to be ay Bobbejaanland in Belgium but the ride is gone now. Doing just vertical loops was no issue so it really is the turns Volare struggles with. And sadly it's nothing but turns.
Agree so much about the end of Sik. You can hear my pain from our POVs. Speaking of which none of those from you? You just have to go to park security to get your equipment signed off.
We shot POV's, we just didn't include them in this video.
I enjoyed the bit at 9:55 when multiverse Sarah walked past CS Sarah. 🥸
Your mispronunciation of Edinburgh 🤣🤣🤣, I visited Flamingoland quite a while back now well before Sik and a few years before mumbo jumbo. I remember kumali being pretty good back then but no doubt it has aged abit since then. Need head back to ride Sik at least.
Flamingooooo land hopeeeee youuuu enjoyedddd sikkkkk
I absolutely loved Flamingo Land when I visited last year (even before Sik was open), and trying to go again next year. Kumali was (and has been almost every year) glass smooth, which I nearly prefer over Nemesis, Velocity was running faster (so much so that I preferred it over Leviathan in Canada), Mumbo Jumbo was also faster, but also smoother (there are 1 or 2 trains that are rougher than the others). I much prefer this park to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and had a better day than at Alton Towers, so am excited to visit again soon.
Random fun fact: Hyperion fits exactly along the lake by Kumali's cobra roll, that would be a nice new standout wouldn't it?
The British Rail Museum in York is really great.
As a Scottish person - I can relate to the poor girl beside Sarah. Swearing and getting on with it… but having a good time 😂😅
0:20 New record for fastest joke in a video.
Sik has this Cool Britannia thing going on, very nineties. Bold move in this economy.
Me: Sweet a new Coastin' Thru Europe episode!! :D
0:20
Me: Aight imma head out
3:31 funniest moment of your career so far and I have no idea why
that ride on the thumbnail looks sik!
those Volare coasters aren't heartlined which adds to the suckiness
It’s so odd seeing you guys at our theme parks
The fact that both the custom slcs are here in the uk and qe have 3 of them total really shows how quite bad coasters are over here compared to the states
Crazy seeing an American at my little home park 😂 not much to shout about but at least it's some creds for you both
Please do a top 10 weirdest dark rides video that would be hilarious
Are there really only 2 custom SLCs? The other one being the massive Odyssey at Fantasy Island? I thought there would be more outside of this country
Fields everywhere that's northern England for you 🤣
Siksilk is a clothing brand.. but I wouldn't say it's a popular brand.
Most people have only ever heard of it because of the ride, which I guess means it was a good bit of sponsorship!
This video is Sik!
kumali is actually the shenlin model, there are some more of those in china. The only two custom SLCs are Odyssey at Fantasy Island and Great Nor'Easter (for some reason idk)
Great Nor'Easter is technically custom due to the station and some of the supports. Layout is the stock "Classic" layout.
@@rossstanley3912 I think it’s taller and faster too, but I’m not sure. It goes 55 mph and all of the other basic ones only get up to 49.7mph
Correction for Kumali its not a custom layout its the Shenlin model for a Vekoma SLC as two other versions of the coaster exsist at Happy Valley Parks
Is The Odyssey in Skegness a custom?
@@MylesHSG Yes Odyssey is a complete custom layout, it's the largest SLC featuring a massive Vertical Loop and Cobra Roll leading into a Banana Roll after that it leads into a sidewinder than helix, then final inversion a Corkscrew and into the brakerun
Hey what camera do you use for your videos? It looks like a Sony in the mirror but im curious
all of our camera gear can be found in the description for each video!
It would be cool to see some Intamin Multi Inversion Coasters in the states I’m surprised none exist
My home park! Also, why has Merlin not bought this yet, so much potential but not enough execution. Brilliant video, I love the series!
If this is your home park, don't be hoping merlin buys this. It's mine also. Merlin are currently managing alton towers horrifically. We need to save the family run parks whilst we can as they're something unique.
@@louive5680you sorta need to come to america and go to a six flags park…
Ugh, keep Merlin way away
@@louive5680 Change my idea then, have somebody take over that makes it look nicer and invests in it more than once every ten years. The operations here are atrocious, most coasters only have one train that need two.
@@l0wh1n It's not just the case of investing. It takes a while for these family parks to gain some money. Hopefully now though, it will pick up since there has been lots of attraction to the park, due to sik. I recon the next investment will be in less than 4-5 years IMO.
there's a ride like dino roller near me called nessi
Yeah there's about 45294 of those around the uk
OH MY BLOODY GOD THEY WENT ON THE COASTLINER, I AM SUCH A NERD I BLOODY LOVE THE COASTLINER
this was a pretty sik video
It's a shame you missed the glory days of flamingo land about 17 years ago. Magnum force, bullet, terrorizer and top gun were all fantastic rides. Or maybe that's just my nostalgia speaking 😂
I think a gravity group family coaster would fit
You missed the Jorvik Viking centre which is a dark ride built underground over an archeological site themed to vikings. You want weird dark rides you’d have loved this one !
‘Dark ride’ is giving it a bit too much credit.
@@TheBroz Taylor’s confused reaction to it would get me in the feels.
The parked looked super quiet. Did you visit on a week day?
yes
Will a review of Sik/Colossus be coming?
yes!
Off topic but you hear the news that Dollywood is converting lightning rods launch to a traditional chain lift??
Kumali isn't the only custom SLS
19:54 am I the only one that didn’t realise that they don’t have double decker buses in the USA
You two literally put the "great" in Great Britain, because the rest of it went to Hell in the past 10 years. This video makes me still love it.
Also, I love the baby goats. Are them Penguins safe in that climate though?
Also odyssey is a custom layout
15:44 I don’t know why we can’t do dark rides in the UK. My mind was blown the first time I went to Florida.
Hex, Curse at Alton Manor, Nemesis Sub-Terra?
@@CoasterEverything Fairground rides compared to the likes of anything in Florida (Although I do like Hex and Curse a lot)
@@guksacknah I wouldn't say that because you're comparing them to Disney and universal which is hard to beat. Though it is basically only towers which has good dark rides
les go
Just for information, Kumali is not an original slc, it is one of the two slc shenlin model. The only real original slc is odyssey at fantasy island.
When are you guys planning to visit Powerpark in Finland? 🤔
we do not have any current plans to visit
They should do a coaster Enduro challenge for the world record or charity
DigitalDan rode Hero 87 times with some friends 😂😂😂
Clicked this video just to watch you ride Hero
Was hoping you guys would mention how Sik was supposed to have been built here in Brazil 🥲
It was built in Brazil but just never opened
@@williamshort3620 it wasn’t, unfortunately, we’d go to the park and see the pieces of track there for years hoping we’d get to ride it one day 🥲
@@ezbr91 that unfortunate. Especially because we have smiler and colossus as well. I’m sure there are some good coasters in Brazil
It’s in the middle
Of York
They cut down all the trees to make sawdust to clean up all the sik from that ride.
Kumali is actually not custom, it has a clone!
21:43 I really wanted a highland cow 'wee highlan coo' plush because they look adorable when I went to scotland last year.
I did see something in Loch Ness
