I use mine 5-6 days a week. I cook for my service dog. 40 lbs of chicken, brown rice, broccoli, peas, yams, and a bunch more. You're a lifesaver!!

After watching this, I finally got the right replacement (thank you SO MUCH by the way for posting this). Then when washing off the dust it gathered, the new one popped right off! Now I understand why so many offers include over 10 identical parts!

Wow! My sister you are a life saver. Mine fell out about a week ago and I had no idea of how to fix it in my GoWise 8 quart pressure cooker. I thought I had replaced it correctly, until I was just trying to cook my smoke turkey neck for my cabbage. Steam was just shooting out. I turned it off and unplugged it to cool. Then I started looking on how to fix it. I could not have done it without you. Omg girl you saved my soup. Lol. I made soup last night cleaned the cooker today to make more and it wasn’t pressurizing. Your the only one that helped me. When you said dishwater and washing it we looked down the garbage disposal drain and there were both pieces!!!! Luckily I didn’t have to buy one but I am now as a back up what a tiny piece. Thanks!!!

My pin fell down the garbage disposal and I accidentally ground it up. I just got my pin today ..it took a long time to get it and I couldn't figure out how to put it in. Thank you for showing how to put it back in you were very helpful.
You just saved a mother-daughter relationship because we were getting testy on how to put that gasket and valve back on the top. We didn't care about your dishes, nails, hair...we wouldn't have gotten the valve on without you. It's my mom's pressure cooker and she thought the valve went on completely opposite, which didn't make sense to me. So thank you for your video!!! :)

You're my hero! I *love* my pot so I was just sick when the part fell out. The warrantee was expired so I thought I was just out of luck, but a friend said I should search for a video... and here you are! I'm so happy, thank you :) The problem with this valve is the little rubber o-ring is quite easy to pull off the post while you're washing the inside of the lid. I make a point now to wash that part carefully.

Great explanation. Thanks very much. I also had to listen to a video about the pressure valve attachment because it just spins. It said that it’s supposed to spin easily as long as the pressure valve lines up with the seal position when the cooker cooks. I hope it was correct.

I am so sorry that I didn't believe that valve was that easy to replace. My cooker sat unused for AWHILE. Then I put it on just like you did and cooked a 2lb chuck roast, 45 minutes tinder. It worked perfectly. I'm laughing and kicking myself at the same time.

I did not pay attention to the rubber piece and I certainly couldn't figure out how I was going to put it back together when I ordered a new one. This was super helpful!

My float valve got swallowed by the lud! It went in sideways and then lodged it self somewhere around the valve hole? No what do i do?

Thanks! That was great -- no matter what your nails look like :-) Mine fell in the garbage disposal. What an awful sound the float made. I did not pay attention to the rubber piece and I certainly couldn't figure out how I was going to put it back together when I ordered a new one. This was super helpful!
