Corn and grain based foods cause a dogs body temperature to rise above normal and make it harder for them to maintain their temperature naturally.
Unlike humans dogs do a very good job digesting grains and it releases a tremendous amount of heat internally. It’s the equivalent of turning your dog into a stove with no good way to release the heat.
Cheap dog foods contain high amounts of corn and other grains which is actually worse on their bodies than this heat wave. Just keeping them inside more and giving them water isn’t a huge help. In this heat a low quality dog food can overheat a dog outside in just a couple minutes. So unless Lassie is crapping in your house then heat damage is going to occur when you let them outside.

@@troyjones2687 Dr Patrick Moore has been teaching about the climate in various universities for decades. He was one of the founders of Greenpeace, was President of Green peace for a while when they were convincing major countries to stop above ground nuclear tests, to severely limit whaling, etc. When Greenpeace began to bring in millions in contributions, the crooked politicians took control of Greenpeace, and Dr Moore left. He has stated that, to understand the current climate, never mind predicting the future, you must have at least a basic understanding of Chemistry, physics, archeology, geology, oceanography, meteorology, and most importantly, solar astronomy, because anyone with any brains would surely know that the cyclic variability of the energy coming from the sun is the main driving force of climate change. He is described by the climate alarmists as a "conspiracy theorist" and should be ignored, but this 16 year old who never finished junior high school and has had not even the simplest, most basic introduction to any of the sciences listed above, makes a hysterical speech of gloom and doom and is treated like she is Joan of Arc. This is the world we live in. This is possible only because the leftist professors over the past 40 years or so have dumbed down the so called science courses until the typical college chemistry class is much more elementary than the classes I had in high school back in the 1950s. Hey if you are getting a degree in Womens Studies or Black History, why do you need to understand chemistry?
