  • Took the DC metro (WMATA) Green Line Southbound from Greenbelt to Branch Avenue. This is a Full Ride on the Kawasaki 7000 Series Train. There are 21 station and is 23.04 miles long. I couldn't get a front view again. So this ride I did something different. Did a rear, side and inside view's. Also at each stop I got out and took a fast video of each station. The ride was about 55 minutes. Thank you for watching. LOL One day someone will clean the front and rear windows.

12pm When my brother lived in Laurel we took the Green Line from Greenbelt into DC...The voice as you step on and off the cars always reminds me of those visits...

This is pretty cool that you take you day off to make these videos. Stepping off at each station is a nice touch.

Not a bad day off. It was fun riding around. I Thought it would be different getting off at each station and shooting a fast video. Thanks for watching.

Nice looking cars. They must be fairly new or the Metro is doing a great job keeping them clean during COVID. Nice video from different locations and inside the car. Crazy to see the cars so empty. Usually always packed full of people. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, They keep the inside of the cars pretty clean. Just wish they would clean the front and back window's. Thanks for watching.

Yes, these are our newest trains. I actually got to ride the newest ones (7746-7747, delivered in February 2020) on the red line a few weeks ago.

Hey Mark, I enjoy your videos. I am surprised that quite a bit of Metro is constructed @grade level. I can only imagine how much money was saved when you contrast with building elevated or under ground

If you can. You save millions if you can build on grade than elevated or underground. Thank you for watching.

@22:25 Hey, there's a graffiti tag! Better tell Metro to take care of it!

So as I understand it, they run the:
    2000 series cars
    3000 series cars
    7000 series cars
Are the 6000 series cars been put back into service yet?
    I know they’ve retired the:
    1000 series cars
    4000 series cars
5000 series cars (those were hands down my favorite series cars)

I’ve seen some 6000 series cars but not too many I see more of the 7000.Thank you for watching

I did a redline video but not a cab ride. They wouldn’t let me but I’ll try again one day. Thank you for watching.

Some of those tunnel segments are a definite hazard in terms of lighting. Also I failed to see brightly lit emergency exit signs marking the location of exits in tunnels (there are three emergency exits alone in the segment between Ft Totten and Georgia Ave)...very concerning.

    • @MarkTheLostTraveler
      @MarkTheLostTraveler  3 года назад +2

Most of the tunnels I have videoed are not very well lit. Some parts of other tunnels have good lighting. They must of replace them with LED's or something else. Hopefully nobody will have to get out in an emergency in a poor lit tunnel. Thank you for watching.

I will never ride DC metrorail again. The attendants are clueless and rude and the trains are disgusting. Crackheads even do and deal illegal drugs in the trains and on the platforms.
