You have to drink the Videre Elixir at the GY which kills you so you can talk to a Spirit Healer
So in HC you do not want to do this quest

Keep in mind Ozy already had 19 stacks of bleed that ticked for around 535 damage every few seconds. He jumped down super late and a couple more ticks would've killed him. There was a very high chance he would've died even if he landed the jump.

Is that the only quest that kills you? I am new to classic, leveling my first toon and 34 so far. I really dont want to die to random shit like that

You get this quest from a long chain in Ungoro Crater and takes you to Tanaris. During this quest you kill yourself with and item so you can speak to a ghost in spiritform.

Note to the editor; you’re cutting all the clips too short, a huge part of what makes hardcore so addicting is the emotional response it gets out of us and like most of these clips cut before the streamers even really fully start emoting
Others drop comments like "Streamer Highlights" implying we showcase streamers to much, it's hard to find balance there but we will try to improve on that, next episode will leave more breathing room for the clips.

@@classichc I think you should edit one shorter version and one longer version. Then if you could dub it in the 10 most popular languages on Earth that would be good. Then if you could edit in some songs that I personally enjoy that would be great. At the very minimum each video should be no longer than 10 minutes and no shorter than 30 minutes.

I am Achievhunter. The last death in that clip. What they didnt show is I was doing an achievement run, I had 290 achievement points at lvl 35. Someone in the guild bet I couldnt do Nat's quest before 36 so I did lol.. I just didnt make it to the turn in.
Normally I'd say you weren't using enough survival abilities but yeah... That quest is super hard. I'd completely rework the strategy next time.

You can write a macro that instantly uses cat form and stealth on the same GCD. Would have probably saved that druid.
That macro also allows to switch from Shadow Meld into feral stealth without pulling aggro.
That's Kinaidos, he is a very strong druid player and he got to lvl 52 naked challenge

I did the Tanaris graveyard quest in HC and it didn't kill me, just put me to like 1 HP. Is that not normal? I then got a buff to finish the quest.

It's part of the Linkin quest line. You drink a potion that kills you and allows you to see/talk to a dead npc. Probably not a great quest to do on a hardcore run.

In this quest (aka "Zelda quest") you have to drink a potion in that cementery...that kills you (in order to be able to speak with some ghosts). I think he didn't know that he was going to "really" die...
Wtf is the point of doing a "big pull" of normal mobs outside when you have no aoe? I've run into a few players that do stuff like this and it makes no sense. Completely braindead.
Can someone explain how this hardcore thing works? I haven't played wow in years. My understanding is that there are 2 servers that specifically play this mode, and that you download an addon that facilitates the hardcore aspect? But not everyone has to play hardcore on those servers? And even if you die, there's nothing actually forcing you to delete your character, other than an honour system? And Blizzard hasn't made their own hardcore server? This whole hardcore thing seems like the greatest thing that ever happened to wow.
It's optional, of course. And I think Blizzard is going to made an official HC server sooner than later, this Challenge it's bringing suscriptions to WoW Classic.

Oh god that one was just an absolute brain fart on his end. For that quest, you have to enter the Spirit world to talk to an NPC…and he used the quest item that kills you and sends you to the spirit world lmfao
If I remember well is part of a quest, You need talk with someone who is "death" so that potions kill you and you are able to see that guy.
It's a quest chain that sends you to the Gadgetzan graveyard to use an item. What this guy didn't know is that using the item actually kills your character. You're supposed to ghost run to an NPC to talk to him.
How did the mage die?
It's a quest item, that instantly kills the imbiber when using it. It's called Videre Elixir

Well, you have to die to do this quest, and to do so you need to use that item.
So I think he was just trolling as he is already 60 and can chose to become immortal.
Its for a quest called "meet at the grave". You can only drink the elixir at the grave outside Gadgetzan and it will kill you.
This is the description:
"This elixir will allow you to speak with one that you would not normally even see...
Take the Videre elixir, along with Linken's sword, to the graveyard just outside Gadgetzan in Tanaris. Once there, drink the potion. You may be quite surprised at the results, but do not be alarmed.
In your "other" form, head due north until you reach the mountains. You'll find the one you need to speak with in one of the rocky crevices. His name is Gaeriyan.
Remember, he will only speak to you in that form..."

You can't use the AH. As for how people get them, I think it's a guild wide effort where someone will put in a request for one and the designated guild alchemist will use materials gathered by other guild members to make them and distribute them.

Hell, most people cannot even use my mouse sensibility as it is too high for them.
Clicking in an MMO like wow is just vastly inferior to keybinds and is hated on for good reason , obviously having to click a target and then click abilties is extremely slow and inefificiont compared to instant reactions with keybinds and muscle memory, its been common knowledge for 20 years how big a disadvantage clicking is.

I do use tab targeting on all my chars but Hunters, the by default UI action bars with keybinds (1 to 0 keys, alt+mouse scroll to switch to 2nd bar ) and the default F1 to F5 to switch between group members (tried mouse hovering but did not like it, I may give it another try but those macros are annoying to write). However, I click all the other bars and I never had any problems? I mean, why would you keybind Demonic Rune for example?

So, if you die in hardcore do you have to start all over again?
There will be a hardcore server this month. If you die, you can't respawn, but you can transfer your character to a different server. You have to start all over if you want to continue playing in the hardcore server with a new character
I just get amazed by how many "clicks" their important survival spells
From own experience, people do it in panic or clutch situations. It means they aren't comfortable / used to their key bindings, so to make sure they use the correct item / spell they click it for visual confirmation
@@etou1146 makes no sense. if you spend literal days playing your character with keybinds from day 1 you will know them by heart in no time. these people are not clicking out of panic. they click out of laziness
