This was great to watch and I have mixed feelings given it is not Sierra Leonean owned. Overall, I am happy that value is being added within Sierra Leone and look forward to Sierra Leoneans doing this in many different sectors in the future. The national goal should be for nothing to leave these shores without having value added to it. I do not like government getting involved in private business but I wonder if the government is interested in making an investment in Capitol Group LTD and becoming a 30-50 % owner of the businesses. The idea is that with a bigger investment, Capitol can invest and ADD VALUE to many other industries as well, get into wholesale, and get a piece of the tourism sector as well. That would ensure more revenue for the government to provide services and over time, the government can sell off its share of the businesses to private Sierra Leoneans.(or just keep it like Botswana does with DeBeers)
I understand what you are saying and I hope this story inspired indigenous sierra Leoneans to start businesses such as this.. As for the idea of govt ownership. I think its interesting. I wonder if Capitol Limited would be interested in a deal like that.
@@AuthenticAfrican The thing is that I do not think there is a wealthy enough Sierra Leonean to make this investment to buy into Capitol Group. And as things are now, we as private citizens do NOT pool our funds together and build together - everyone tries to do it on their own. Thus, the next best option would be for the government to buy into Capitol Group - it is a win-win...it enriches the current owners, grows the pie for them to make more money down the line, and allows the country to benefit more directly by having an ownership stake. everyone wins
I wish they would move away from plastic bottles and replace with glass. Also, I’m curious if artificial ingredients are added to the puffs like they do with Cheetos and similar American snacks.

All good points. This is the kind of thinking I would like see more of. We need new ideas that make sense.

Yes I known plastic is an issue but I know cost may be prohibiting.
Did Europeans design and run the factory?
It was a Lebanese family business but they have been in Sierra Leone over 100 years and 3 generations.
@@AuthenticAfrican WONDERFUL
Show me a black family in Lebanon doing business like this
This video begs for contact info for wholesale and distribution. Jo, is this a subject you’ll revisit?
Feel free to reach out to them and find out what they are doing for sure.

You own what you have been done for yourself

Not at all. They are moving it very short distance. But maybe they can add carts too. I will make the recommendation.
