Finally… one of the few videos in which the drummer plays the kickdrum correctly! Most always play double bass hits all the time… but you got it right… respect!
When you close your eyes and go to sleep And it's down to the sound of a heartbeat I can hear the things that you're dreaming about When you open up your heart And the truth comes out You tell me that you want me You tell me that you need me You tell me that you love me And I know that I'm right 'Cause I hear it in the night I hear the secrets that you keep When you're talking in your sleep When I hold you in my arms at night Don't you know you're sleeping in the spotlight And all your dreams that you keep inside You're telling me the secrets That you just can't hide When you close your eyes and you fall asleep Everything about you is a mystery
Definitely cool! I’m glad I stumbled upon your shows I always wish I could play an instrument like that You’ve got Tommy’s mannerisms down on the Motley song
This was my older setup, so I have to remember how I had it.... but basically I had the computer output into my mixer, and I then had the mixer output to my headphones so that I could monitor both the drums and the track that I was playing along with as I recorded. The mixer is a Behringer X Air 16 that allowed for recording directly to a USB key. After that, it was just a matter of lining up the USB sound recording with the iPhone video to get the final product for upload. I have now introduced a Zoom R16 into the equation which allows me more flexibility for mixing on my computer after the recording. The Behringer only recorded as a stereo track which didn't allow me to make the kick drum louder after recording... so I had to get the mix right before recording.
Thanks. There are definitely 2 ways to approach a cover. My main objective was to have fun covering songs that I hadn't played live with a band before. If there are some really key drum fills that everyone recognizes, I'll keep those, but then add my own feel.

Dude real, I was listening to the song while reading a tab online and i was just thinking to myself that the tab was all wrong, way too much bass

You do a good but you added to much of your own stuff. I usually do it like the studio version.
