As an Emilie enjoyer I'm really tempted by both Mulani and Kinich, but I gotta say I'm worried about how single target they seem. I've got Wanderer, c6 Gaming, hyper-invested Yoimiya even, single target DPS is just not a big draw right now.
For Raiden “falling off”, I do think it’s worth mentioning that she comes with infinite interruption resistance at C0. The newer Fontaine DPSs outdamage her at C0, but need cons to get the same interruption resistance, whereas Raiden needs cons to keep up in damage. It’s a trade-off that I really don’t think makes Raiden strictly worse. Something I will say though is that it’s very hard to get a good crit ratio on Raiden. She doesn’t ascend with crit and needs a pretty hearty amount of ER, and the Catch only gives 12% rate and her sig gives none. It feels really bad to miss the crit on her big frontload slash. So she is a LOT harder to build than the new DPSs. Also, run Thrilling Tales Xianyun instead of Jean in Raiden Double Hydro. TLDR: I think Raiden has fallen off at low investment, but at high investment she keeps up and gives a lot more to the team as a whole than other DPSs.

True, apart from yhe fact a 100 CD Raiden still hits over 300K . I've seen Raidens have around 280 ER While Having almost 200 CD and 80~ CR at the same time. If you have such a Raiden, she quite literally becomes the most OP Unit in terms of long-term investment worth.
@@ilikenewmeta9717 I do think Neuvi and Arle are better, but I don’t think the distance is vast as you’re implying, I still get very fast clears with Raiden, but mine is top 3% in the world so I could be biased (C0R1). I think that Raiden’s ability to buff Yelan specifically is what lets her keep up in terms of team DPS. If you play Raiden double hydro (with Xianyun on Thrilling Tales and allowing Raiden to break shields easier with plunges) she turns Yelan into a monster and that really makes up the difference compared to other teams and it makes her one of the better drivers of that core, contrary to what other people say.
@@Venjoy_zzz I really like that Raiden scales so well with investment, not just on her, but for her supports too. I feel like she really rewards those that put in the work for a cracked artifact set. Now with the new artifact customization coming in 5.0, more people will be able to get god-tier sets for characters.
I personally don't think you should judge a character like Raiden so harshly just because they aren't Neuvillette or Arlecchino. That's basically all characters.
Raiden is electro meta, and I have her, She's awesome, but electro as an element isn't meta. Cryo will be the ultimate meta element, as it's the last nation to be released and is where the real power lies.
Praying that all Mualani wanders will be Mualani Havers, Kinich wanters will be Kinich havers, Raiden wanters will be Raiden Havers and Kazuha wanters will be Kazuha Havers! 😭🫶🏻
As a genshin player I only started playing genshin impact around three months ago, I am going to pull for Raiden, not because I simp for her, but she will come in handy in different ways. She will be useful for me and maybe will become one of my mains.
Gearwise, she needs a bit more Effort than the newer DPS Chars and falls slowly behind without Constellations, but i still like to play her, she is comfy and its cool, that she can fill multiple roles.
If you’re a new player then you should play kazuha but for early game ,raiden would work as a good dps but after some time without kazuha you would need some 4 stars to get a higher damage for raiden
I disagree with Konich’s design being unique in a positive way with the context of his lore. He was based off a significant dark-skinned god that people in Africa are currently still worshipping. I don’t need 50% of all my Genshin characters to be dark-skinned, but I find it really gross that Genshin took a lot inspiration from a god from an historically and still currently very oppressed race and whitewashed him for profit.
@@OutOfCreativity Idk what to tell you, it's an imaginary world that takes inspiration from mythologies, deities, nationalities etc. This is how most of the characters get their names and designs in majority of games, it's just inspiration, they are not directly portraying the African god as a white person, they just took him as an inspiration to create a character who originates from NATLAN, a completely made up nation... Does it say anywhere that people from Natlan have a dark skin tone? No, bcs Natlan doesn't exist in real life... Nothing to be mad about here.
@@stargazing209 I don’t think “it’s just fiction” is really a good excuse because fiction does bleed into real life AND Genshin is centered a lot around traveling and cultures. Black cultures get overshadowed in media all the time because of stuff like this. Again, I don’t really care that much for representation, but if you wanna have a heavy theme of cultures in your work, do them justice or pick a different theme. That said I don’t hate ppl who don’t mind/like the designs, I’m just giving a different view.

8:30 The reason noone wants to build EM Raiden is because you have fischl, keqing, Cyno, yae miko, that fills that role with higher DPS pottential. Also, she can nuke in ER teams. Thats all I’m gonna say
I want Mualani, Kinich and Kazuha, but i only have enough primos for 1 50/50 so i'll go for Kazuha, and if i lose the 50/50 i'll save for Kinich. I'll wait for a Mualani/Kinich rerun just to see if they get better with Mavuika
Way too harsh on Raiden. She not even all that far behind them, her DPS is nothing to laugh at considering my c0 Raiden hits 406K Per Burst with SOH and without C6 Sara as well. Her damage is super nice and she has good aoe in her best team too, not to mention, even if she might be slightly less powerful in terms of Damage she makes up in support abilities. She is so easy to build and Gives a ton of ER for Everyone including herself, you have a never ending rotations with her and you can generally focus on crit instead of wanting too much ER on your supports. Shr can also be used as a Sub DPS or in Overload.+ She has the best off field electro application, 100% uptime, S tier for Dendro teams like Aggravate or Hyperbloom as well. Raiden still is an S tier Unit and she is definitely worth pulling and investing in. I would recommend Her if you are looking for a Universal Unit that can do everything, rather than simply a dps role, only if of corse you are not lacking dps characters, if you have atleast 2 built DPS Kazuha And Raiden offer way more Pull Value and are super easy to build. Kazuha=Raiden>=Mualani=Kinich for the most part. If you need a dps Then Mualani=Kinich>=Raiden>Kazuha, but Kazuha is a must have if you want the God tier support.
She is mid stop coping. Her best team at c0 has like 61k dps and her c2 just puts her on par with modern dps. Fischl and beidou are better for off field electro damage. Kuki is better for hyperbloom. Childe is better for national. Hu tao is better for the yelan+furina core. Raiden is just electro ayato. Has alot of uses but mid at all of it.
This video has defined a divergent opinion on Raiden. So far why I've heard from Clorinde is that she ended up being mostly on par with Raiden except on her absolute best teams.
C3R1 Raiden user here - this is what I've got At that level of investment, she *will* keep up with top DPS units, especially if you have c6 Chevy and a good weapon for Sara. The team is super easy to play and I end abyss floors in 20-30 seconds. If you want to drop a big investment in Raiden because you have an unhealthy obsession with purple ladies, I don't think you'll find yourself disappointed in her performance. That said, if you are simply looking for account power, she's nowhere near worth it. C0 Raiden is *not* a functional main DPS, and Kuki can run hyperbloom nearly as well. For the same pulls as c3r1 Raiden you could get c0r1 Neuvi, c0 Furina and c0r1 Arlecchino and be so much further ahead meta wise. If you love Ei, you can absolutely make her work great, no question. I don't regret it at all. But functionally speaking, she's not an efficient pull at all.
exactly my opinion on her. you saw the footage in the video, C3R1 is amazing (well that raiden was C5, but C4/5 don't matter much anyway) but it's so much cheaper to just get a C0R1 neuvi, or even a C1R1 neuvi. a C3R1 arlecchino also makes C3R1 raiden look like a joke; she's beautiful, really cool & amazingly easy to use, but her C0 power level just... isn't there anymore.
I have the same experiecnce, i dont have c6 chev yet, only c1 but my c3r1 raiden is absolutly a powerful dps. HOWEVER ive spent the majority of my accounts time and resources on her to get her to that point. c6 raiden coming home this banner!
neuv is fine but arlecchino is just bad, arlecchino doesn't want her burst and raiden application is pretty garbage 1 application every 2.5 seconds which is just icd and fishl applies more and does more damage. Just replace her with fishl in overload or any team and it will resutl in a dps increase.
"he has the coolest burst in the whole game and is the hottest character in natlan." Literally my only reason to pull him. Also, I've heard that Benny might be given out for free from a world quest or something, so a Navia, Kachina, Xainling (excuse my spelling), and Benny team could be 75% free.

My Raiden is in top 1% in all teams and is sitting at C5. Clears everything with ease. I'll complete her this time around. Mihoyo can make as many broken new on fielders as they want, I dont really care when supports are so much more important.
@garytda5402 honestly. Hell, my Raiden is doing 500k+ initial slash and then her NAs around 70k-80k is which is more than competitive imo. But outside of Sara's burst the rest of the team does almost nothing. Meanwhile a character like Alhaitham has his whole team dealing damage, no wonder he's so highly rated. I long a pyro off field sub dps that also buffs attack so I'm not constantly picking between between Bennett, XL, and Sara for Chevreuse teams. On god if the pyro archon does that, take my money.
@@archieprime Yeah makes sense best raiden in the game at c2 hits 450k so if you were at her investment at c5 then you should hit 630k but you only hit 500k so it's respectable.
I am one of the few people to already have her at c6 with the skyward spear. I got her last cons and the weapon from the standard banner, so its doable. She's amazing with Raiden (or any electro) good luck!

I think I'll skip 5.0 I already have Kazuha and I don't find his cons or his weapon enticing enough I dislike Raiden Both Mualani and Kinich wants a Pyro off-field DPS and Xiangling currently being the only one hurts them (especially because of the cringy ER requirements from Xiangling) Let's see if there's an interesting rerun on 5.1
Dehya does off field pyro if you have her, I know not a lot but something, probably good with Kinich if he needs burning, I don't think burning needs as much pyro app Thoma does some with his burst as long as you normal attack Those are the ones on the top of my head
I can't trust dps that much. But as a Raiden and Kazuha haver, I say that go for Kazuha. He's really good! Just slap him with r5 fav, triple em stats and em substats, then VV!
As a Raiden main, (I play alot) she is really fun which is why I dropped neuvillette. I plan on pulling for kazuha and kinch if I have leftovers I'll pull for raiden
The fact that shark girl have the potential to make Candace and Dehya more viable are very enticing for me. I really want to build Aaru Village duo. Now i have excuse to build them. Coming from someone who pulled them both, you should really enjoy your Yelan. Navia is awesome, but Yelan can fit any role you need, dps, sub dps, support, etc. And you should still build Kachina anyways as she's a good flex character and so you'll already have her built when Navia reruns
Love at the first sight with Mualani in Natlan teaser first release. I'll get her, I don't really care with her being meta or nah, as long as she can ride that sharkboard, it's enough 😂
I'm not saying people should pull for Raiden if they don't want to. However Juice placing mega flexible and high utility unit like Raiden below Kinich which she herself points out needing specific units and high investment to work properly is crazy... She should be at least on par with him, since he will be doing more dps than her, but running Raiden for utility gives her a much higher value than trying to make Dps Raiden keep up. Raiden gets discredited a lot for not matching current main dps units, but that's not what gave Raiden massive value in the first place. During Inazuma she was top unit in nearly all aspects, but her main value to the teams were buffing their bursts and cutting ER requirements to the point they don't need to run Favs. In Hyperbloom you will only run Kuki over Raiden if that team has no healer aside from Kuki herself, so Kuki doesn't really replace her. And this is with Kuki being my favorite and Imo best 4 star in the game, since I ran her a lot during both Fontaine and Sumeru.

@@Juice-chan If ~40-45 sec abyss side clear with C0 Raiden on second account with suboptimal units is meh, then I don't think "falling off" you are bringing up is as valid of a point as you might think. Yes, she doesn't sprint race newest units for 25 sec side clears, but on my team she isn't running full dps, but as team facilitator unit to a great success. She isn't "Meta", as in "best" unit in the game, but she still has high value in flexibility most units would kill for. Also EM Raiden/Alhaitham works just fine, Kuki isn't a must there. Haven't tried Raiden/Cyno since I don't have him, so I won't say anything about that. Anything that runs Kuki can easily slot Raiden for higher team dps. Kuki being an EM healer is good for safety, but EM Raiden still clears Kuki in personal dps on top of team buff. P.S. I'm not trying to prove you "Wrong", I simply disagree with how much Raiden truly "fell off" due to her flexibility to run other teams then before when she was top dog.
@@FutayuriShironeko Raiden hyperbloom is arguably better than Kuki because Raiden gives that fat burst damage bonus to her teammates. Kuki's shit healing doesn't convince me to run her over Raiden in that role particularly because she gets one shot quite often and raiden provides a ton of energy for the team too.
@@julienperez6520 The best hyperbloom team in the game is alhaitham quickbloom and it uses kuki. Second best is nahida double hydro and it also uses kuki. Kuki is way better for hyperbloom lol.
Iam at that point in genshin that I don't want any perticular new character I can clear abyss. So simply I look at character design if I like it I'll pull
To diversify your roaster I think if you have c1 Neuvillete Then you already have extremely powerful hydro dps and Mulani is easy skip. Mihoyo have tendency to throw hydro imune enemies here and there, so you should focus on non-hydro teams.
As someone who runs plunge Navia in abyss (and in need if a flex slot) I see Kachina as a definite win. Especially since she's free. Im definitely more excited for Kachina than Mualani in the first half. I hope I get some constellations of her As for Xilonen, i'll still try to get her. Maybe i'll interchange the two depending on the abyss and how Xilonen works
I don't even know anymore!!! I was so set on getting SOMEONE this patch, but everyone needs high investment or is niche, heck, even kazuha the support is iffy because i DON'T HAVE A MAIN, I DON'T KNOW WHO TO MAIN!!!! its just all so confusing ad frustrating when i have been saving.
I'm currently saving for Mavuika's banner and Neuvillette's next rerun, but I have great interest in Kinichi due to his gameplay (And the fact that he reminds me of Ben 10) and if Cheuve is on his banner I might take a chance and who knows, maybe I can get him early in the 50/50
Also worth noting -- Kazuha is MAD FUN to play. You can run his trial a time or two when he's on banner if you're a newer player who hasn't used him yet. Holding his skill and jumping up in the air, sucking all the enemies in a whirlwind under your feet, then stomping down on their heads is just fun. AND it does incredible damage with the Swirl when those enemies have other elements applied on them. He's a support, but I used him as a main dps for a while because he just did so much more damage than anyone else I had.
Personally, I’ll be pulling for Mualani and Raiden. I know I should probably pull for Kazuha since I lack him but I have priorities and between Mualani and Raiden, this patch is gonna be rough as it is. As for Kinich, I absolutely adore his aesthetic but I’ll save him for a rerun.
i dont see any reason for kinich and emilie to be in the same team. emilies synergy lies with mualani, not kinich. kinich and emilie both dont care for EM, so dendro resonance brings them nothing too

Maybe xilonen/leopard girl could be better then my boy Kazuha but who really knows until they come out. Save up either way even if she's good or bad cuz we always have other characters.

I think Mualani was a bit overselled here, because like you said, there are so many good hydro units then why one more? Also is a DPS, Raiden as a support have much more value in my opinion and can be a DPS too, Mualani can't be a support, also not everybody want to use or have the unconventionals because, they were unconventional. Overall I think Mualani and Raiden are A.
I'm torn. I started genshin when furina released. I'm mostly f2p (monthly and a couple bps) so I'm really lacking on characters. My 3 best are arlecchino (with weapon), furina and navia...I want mulani but I REALLY want raiden. I'm on my guarantee. I will be going into 5.0 with maybe 10 wishes tho and 0 pity. It's rough. I'm also one bennet away from c6, and could really use Kazuha as well
As a raiden main, C2R1 with a overload team built hitting 650k bursts and clearing spiral 36 with her team This video accurate I’ve over invested in her because I love EI but my Navia hits similar numbers at lower investment
I joined Genshin during 2.5. I wasn't able to get Raiden at that time I lost to Jean. After that I skipped from 2.8 I stopped wishing and also skipped Nahida. I got Raiden after losing 50/50 Then again I skipped Neuvillette and Furina just to get Raiden C1 even after losing 50/50 Here I am again already lost 50/50 with around 23 more days to control myself to get myself C2 Raiden Shogun. F2P.
I think Raiden c0 is way more comfortable than Kuki Kuki needs consolations to keep electro application up whereas Raiden doesn't. Raiden can also apply electro from afar... Indeed Neuvillette/Kokomi + Raiden + McDendro/Nahida + flex is just too good

Ever since I seen first 3 new characters in first intro videos of Natlan I was like. I need Kachinaaaa! I don't care what she does or anything.. She is the oneee. And now I find out that she will buff my favorite dps too? man that is insane! i'm so happy!!! on top of all that I can't believe she is a 4 star!!! and FREE !! Dudee!!!
I started in 3.6 and out of sheer ignorance made very bad investment choices in my inflated roster of units. Kazuha was the first unit that really allowed me to break out of the soft-lock I had gotten myself in. I simply cannot overstate how useful he is, especially for newcomers to the game. One of the few units I would consider a “must pull.”
If you're bad at assessing characters, just go with Archons. That, or characters with very prominent roles in lore/story. In Fontaine that'd be Furina and Neuvillette, no mistakes there.
Those of you thinking about c2 kazuha…. It’s nice but maybe not impressive as you might be expecting. Making the jump without having c1 already def feels good though.
I would love a C2 Raiden, because her C1 is starting to really look low in dmg when next to my Arle, but I'd rather save those primos for Mualani for a nice in-region unit
Yeah, after getting characters like navia, clorinde, and arlecchino as mush as I love raiden with every bone in my body, she unfortunately does not compare very well with those 3 😢
Nah... myself I'll go for Raiden anyway, just need one more copy to get her at C3 and than she will be perfect in my book, I have been playing so much other games that I don't feel like spending more time grinding and building new characters here anymore, I have found more value to keep experiencing this game in getting more constellation to improve characters I already have builded , equipped and ready to go than farming for the new ones, with more constelations, ane some crowned tallets here and there they can keep up with the shinny new units on the block. What puts me off the most is when the game wants me to farm a brand new artifact set.. I skipped Arlechino because my Navia is still far from perfect, the artifact RNG in this game is so bad... I can't start farming for Arlecchino while my Navia build was not done yet. that's how Hoyo looses my money, I have strong OCD, I much preferer to have few but very well built characters than lots of them with mediocre builds. That said IF the new "chose here your artifact and substats" thingy helps I will be very happy, because we all will have to start farming that new artifact set anyway for the upcoming archon...
I dont think raiden has fallen off, she may not be one of the best dps in the meta but she is still good, the main problem with her is that she is very high maintenance, its very hard to manage her crit ratio because you also want er, its very hard to balance the 2 of them, not to mention her ascension doesnt give crit and you most of the time she wants an er weapon like her sig and the catch as it is her best in slot, and kind of not f2p friendly if you are a dedicated f2p d[s raiden main as c2 unlocks all her dps potential, sub-dps/support raiden is also kind of hard to build as you need to balance er and em because if not then you are better off using kuki, her value in hyperbloom teams has also decreased because of the introduction of furina due to the fact that kuki can heal and raiden can not. overall she may not be the best main dps or sub-dps she is still good like hella good, just be ready to farm for her because she is very high maintenance. reminder dont be meta slaves everyone if you want to pull just pull, if you like the character go pull for them, I have neuvilette but I will still be pulling for raiden because I want her and like her playstyle, good luck on pulling.

If you play Raiden double hydro (with Xianyun on Thrilling Tales and allowing Raiden to break shields easier with plunges) she turns Yelan into a monster and that really makes up the difference compared to other teams and it makes her one of the better drivers of that core, contrary to what other people say.
@@Venjoy_zzz I really like that Raiden scales so well with investment, not just on her, but for her supports too. I feel like she really rewards those that put in the work for a cracked artifact set. Now with the new artifact customization coming in 5.0, more people will be able to get god-tier sets for characters.

If you’re a new player then you should play kazuha but for early game ,raiden would work as a good dps but after some time without kazuha you would need some 4 stars to get a higher damage for raiden

I disagree with Konich’s design being unique in a positive way with the context of his lore. He was based off a significant dark-skinned god that people in Africa are currently still worshipping. I don’t need 50% of all my Genshin characters to be dark-skinned, but I find it really gross that Genshin took a lot inspiration from a god from an historically and still currently very oppressed race and whitewashed him for profit.

Way too harsh on Raiden. She not even all that far behind them, her DPS is nothing to laugh at considering my c0 Raiden hits 406K Per Burst with SOH and without C6 Sara as well. Her damage is super nice and she has good aoe in her best team too, not to mention, even if she might be slightly less powerful in terms of Damage she makes up in support abilities. She is so easy to build and Gives a ton of ER for Everyone including herself, you have a never ending rotations with her and you can generally focus on crit instead of wanting too much ER on your supports. Shr can also be used as a Sub DPS or in Overload.+ She has the best off field electro application, 100% uptime, S tier for Dendro teams like Aggravate or Hyperbloom as well. Raiden still is an S tier Unit and she is definitely worth pulling and investing in. I would recommend Her if you are looking for a Universal Unit that can do everything, rather than simply a dps role, only if of corse you are not lacking dps characters, if you have atleast 2 built DPS Kazuha And Raiden offer way more Pull Value and are super easy to build. Kazuha=Raiden>=Mualani=Kinich for the most part. If you need a dps Then Mualani=Kinich>=Raiden>Kazuha, but Kazuha is a must have if you want the God tier support.
She is mid stop coping. Her best team at c0 has like 61k dps and her c2 just puts her on par with modern dps. Fischl and beidou are better for off field electro damage. Kuki is better for hyperbloom. Childe is better for national. Hu tao is better for the yelan+furina core. Raiden is just electro ayato. Has alot of uses but mid at all of it.

This video has defined a divergent opinion on Raiden. So far why I've heard from Clorinde is that she ended up being mostly on par with Raiden except on her absolute best teams.
C3R1 Raiden user here - this is what I've got
At that level of investment, she *will* keep up with top DPS units, especially if you have c6 Chevy and a good weapon for Sara. The team is super easy to play and I end abyss floors in 20-30 seconds.
If you want to drop a big investment in Raiden because you have an unhealthy obsession with purple ladies, I don't think you'll find yourself disappointed in her performance.
That said, if you are simply looking for account power, she's nowhere near worth it. C0 Raiden is *not* a functional main DPS, and Kuki can run hyperbloom nearly as well.
For the same pulls as c3r1 Raiden you could get c0r1 Neuvi, c0 Furina and c0r1 Arlecchino and be so much further ahead meta wise.
If you love Ei, you can absolutely make her work great, no question. I don't regret it at all. But functionally speaking, she's not an efficient pull at all.
exactly my opinion on her. you saw the footage in the video, C3R1 is amazing (well that raiden was C5, but C4/5 don't matter much anyway)
but it's so much cheaper to just get a C0R1 neuvi, or even a C1R1 neuvi. a C3R1 arlecchino also makes C3R1 raiden look like a joke; she's beautiful, really cool & amazingly easy to use, but her C0 power level just... isn't there anymore.
I have the same experiecnce, i dont have c6 chev yet, only c1 but my c3r1 raiden is absolutly a powerful dps. HOWEVER ive spent the majority of my accounts time and resources on her to get her to that point. c6 raiden coming home this banner!
raiden as an ER based support is still amazing tbh, I use her with neuvillette and arle for her application, burst cycling, and sub dps potential
neuv is fine but arlecchino is just bad, arlecchino doesn't want her burst and raiden application is pretty garbage 1 application every 2.5 seconds which is just icd and fishl applies more and does more damage. Just replace her with fishl in overload or any team and it will resutl in a dps increase.

My Raiden is in top 1% in all teams and is sitting at C5. Clears everything with ease. I'll complete her this time around. Mihoyo can make as many broken new on fielders as they want, I dont really care when supports are so much more important.

@garytda5402 honestly. Hell, my Raiden is doing 500k+ initial slash and then her NAs around 70k-80k is which is more than competitive imo. But outside of Sara's burst the rest of the team does almost nothing. Meanwhile a character like Alhaitham has his whole team dealing damage, no wonder he's so highly rated. I long a pyro off field sub dps that also buffs attack so I'm not constantly picking between between Bennett, XL, and Sara for Chevreuse teams. On god if the pyro archon does that, take my money.
@@archieprime Yeah makes sense best raiden in the game at c2 hits 450k so if you were at her investment at c5 then you should hit 630k but you only hit 500k so it's respectable.

Coming from someone who pulled them both, you should really enjoy your Yelan. Navia is awesome, but Yelan can fit any role you need, dps, sub dps, support, etc. And you should still build Kachina anyways as she's a good flex character and so you'll already have her built when Navia reruns

I'm not saying people should pull for Raiden if they don't want to.
However Juice placing mega flexible and high utility unit like Raiden below Kinich which she herself points out needing specific units and high investment to work properly is crazy... She should be at least on par with him, since he will be doing more dps than her, but running Raiden for utility gives her a much higher value than trying to make Dps Raiden keep up.
Raiden gets discredited a lot for not matching current main dps units, but that's not what gave Raiden massive value in the first place. During Inazuma she was top unit in nearly all aspects, but her main value to the teams were buffing their bursts and cutting ER requirements to the point they don't need to run Favs.
In Hyperbloom you will only run Kuki over Raiden if that team has no healer aside from Kuki herself, so Kuki doesn't really replace her. And this is with Kuki being my favorite and Imo best 4 star in the game, since I ran her a lot during both Fontaine and Sumeru.

@@Juice-chan If ~40-45 sec abyss side clear with C0 Raiden on second account with suboptimal units is meh, then I don't think "falling off" you are bringing up is as valid of a point as you might think.
Yes, she doesn't sprint race newest units for 25 sec side clears, but on my team she isn't running full dps, but as team facilitator unit to a great success.
She isn't "Meta", as in "best" unit in the game, but she still has high value in flexibility most units would kill for.
Also EM Raiden/Alhaitham works just fine, Kuki isn't a must there. Haven't tried Raiden/Cyno since I don't have him, so I won't say anything about that.
Anything that runs Kuki can easily slot Raiden for higher team dps. Kuki being an EM healer is good for safety, but EM Raiden still clears Kuki in personal dps on top of team buff.
P.S. I'm not trying to prove you "Wrong", I simply disagree with how much Raiden truly "fell off" due to her flexibility to run other teams then before when she was top dog.

Kuki's shit healing doesn't convince me to run her over Raiden in that role particularly because she gets one shot quite often and raiden provides a ton of energy for the team too.

To diversify your roaster I think if you have c1 Neuvillete Then you already have extremely powerful hydro dps and Mulani is easy skip. Mihoyo have tendency to throw hydro imune enemies here and there, so you should focus on non-hydro teams.
As someone who runs plunge Navia in abyss (and in need if a flex slot) I see Kachina as a definite win. Especially since she's free. Im definitely more excited for Kachina than Mualani in the first half. I hope I get some constellations of her

Also worth noting -- Kazuha is MAD FUN to play. You can run his trial a time or two when he's on banner if you're a newer player who hasn't used him yet. Holding his skill and jumping up in the air, sucking all the enemies in a whirlwind under your feet, then stomping down on their heads is just fun. AND it does incredible damage with the Swirl when those enemies have other elements applied on them. He's a support, but I used him as a main dps for a while because he just did so much more damage than anyone else I had.

Personally, I’ll be pulling for Mualani and Raiden. I know I should probably pull for Kazuha since I lack him but I have priorities and between Mualani and Raiden, this patch is gonna be rough as it is. As for Kinich, I absolutely adore his aesthetic but I’ll save him for a rerun.

I think Mualani was a bit overselled here, because like you said, there are so many good hydro units then why one more? Also is a DPS, Raiden as a support have much more value in my opinion and can be a DPS too, Mualani can't be a support, also not everybody want to use or have the unconventionals because, they were unconventional. Overall I think Mualani and Raiden are A.
I'm torn. I started genshin when furina released. I'm mostly f2p (monthly and a couple bps) so I'm really lacking on characters. My 3 best are arlecchino (with weapon), furina and navia...I want mulani but I REALLY want raiden. I'm on my guarantee. I will be going into 5.0 with maybe 10 wishes tho and 0 pity. It's rough. I joined Genshin during 2.5. I wasn't able to get Raiden at that time I lost to Jean.
After that I skipped from 2.8 I stopped wishing and also skipped Nahida. I got Raiden after losing 50/50

Everyone who wants kazuha please keep in mind xilonen is coming out and she’s shaping up to be a new and better kazuha! If you want to pull xilonen maybe hold off on kazuha
Ever since I seen first 3 new characters in first intro videos of Natlan I was like. I need Kachinaaaa! I don't care what she does or anything.. She is the oneee. And now I find out that she will buff my favorite dps too? man that is insane! i'm so happy!!! on top of all that I can't believe she is a 4 star!!! and FREE !! Dudee!!!
I started in 3.6 and out of sheer ignorance made very bad investment choices in my inflated roster of units. Kazuha was the first unit that really allowed me to break out of the soft-lock I had gotten myself in. I simply cannot overstate how useful he is, especially for newcomers to the game. One of the few units I would consider a “must pull.”
If you're bad at assessing characters, just go with Archons. That, or characters with very prominent roles in lore/story. In Fontaine that'd be Furina and Neuvillette, no mistakes there.

Those of you thinking about c2 kazuha…. It’s nice but maybe not impressive as you might be expecting. Making the jump without having c1 already def feels good though.
I would love a C2 Raiden, because her C1 is starting to really look low in dmg when next to my Arle, but I'd rather save those primos for Mualani for a nice in-region unit
Yeah, after getting characters like navia, clorinde, and arlecchino as mush as I love raiden with every bone in my body, she unfortunately does not compare very well with those 3 😢
Nah... myself I'll go for Raiden anyway, just need one more copy to get her at C3 and than she will be perfect in my book, I have been playing so much other games that I don't feel like spending more time grinding and building new characters here anymore, I have found more value to keep experiencing this game in getting more constellation to improve characters I already have builded , equipped and ready to go than farming for the new ones, with more constelations, ane some crowned tallets here and there they can keep up with the shinny new units on the block.
What puts me off the most is when the game wants me to farm a brand new artifact set.. I skipped Arlechino because my Navia is still far from perfect, the artifact RNG in this game is so bad... I can't start farming for Arlecchino while my Navia build was not done yet. that's how Hoyo looses my money, I have strong OCD, I much preferer to have few but very well built characters than lots of them with mediocre builds.
That said IF the new "chose here your artifact and substats" thingy helps I will be very happy, because we all will have to start farming that new artifact set anyway for the upcoming archon...
Btw Raiden SSS-TIER for the comfort alone forget her dmg, battery, hyperbloom, off-field electro app and she reruns more frequently
Blew my savings on emilie skipping the rest for now. I need enough primos for constellations for fire archon and the geo leopard chick!

I dont think raiden has fallen off, she may not be one of the best dps in the meta but she is still good, the main problem with her is that she is very high maintenance, its very hard to manage her crit ratio because you also want er, its very hard to balance the 2 of them, not to mention her ascension doesnt give crit and you most of the time she wants an er weapon like her sig and the catch as it is her best in slot, and kind of not f2p friendly if you are a dedicated f2p d[s raiden main as c2 unlocks all her dps potential, sub-dps/support raiden is also kind of hard to build as you need to balance er and em because if not then you are better off using kuki, her value in hyperbloom teams has also decreased because of the introduction of furina due to the fact that kuki can heal and raiden can not. overall she may not be the best main dps or sub-dps she is still good like hella good, just be ready to farm for her because she is very high maintenance. reminder dont be meta slaves everyone if you want to pull just pull, if you like the character go pull for them, I have neuvilette but I will still be pulling for raiden because I want her and like her playstyle, good luck on pulling.
