- In Psalm 51 we see David's repentance and plea for the Lord's cleansing of his sin. David prays, "Have mercy on me God, create in me a clean heart, and restore to me the joy of your salvation." These are all things we can pray as we seek the Lord's forgiveness and experience His mercy and grace. Lord, create in me a pure heart.
