Crazy memories im 25 now and i remember watching this on VHS when i was very young just showed my little boy it cos he likes fire engines cant believe its still on here🤣
The three Mega Machines tapes were my childhood. The tanks one was my favourite, then diggers and fire trucks. Didn't even know there was a police one until 7-10 years ago.
I remember this classic vhs from my childhood like its was yesterday but still have a good taste for fire and rescue related TV programmes and movies for as far as I'm concerned
I remember watching this over and over again and now I can share it with my kids but it’s amazing to see how little the college at Moreton-in-Marsh has changed still the same buildings 😂
Having done a little training with LFRS, they told me the Sub Officers trained like that until 2005. Nowadays it’s still real but contained inside glass boxes, escape room style, to minimise risk.
I've actually visited to the Morton on Marsh college as a kid n stood right next to the hydraulic platform, pretty sure it will have been the same one as in the video John Lesslie is describing and the airport machines, though they were yellow ones at the time ca 1997. The fire chief showed me, my aunt & uncle round the facility cyz I specifically wanted to have a look after seeing this video😃😃😃😃. Very nice guys and a helluva an experience..
I've been to FSC many times & it is a disgrace following privatisation years ago. No centre of excellence at all, just greed for profit. Many of the fire appliances were destroyed or damaged in a fire in the appliance room. They had the audacity to beg Fire brigades to give them old ones, as they weren't even insured. A fantastic facility gone to wrack & ruin, the grass was knee high & no one could even see out of the windows as they were so dirty. The accomodation was deemed unfit for asylum seekers.
@@ashleyhoward8926 yep sounds about right to me when things are privatised & companies get greedy. I went in the very late 90s & loved walkin round it with one of the staff.
