Here is how i whould continue the story: Luke, Ben and Rey whould go on an all man for himself battle with Rey relying more on her saber skills, Ben on his force powers and Luke on both, eventually Luke whoule be knocked to the side but Rey and Ben are too busy fighting each other to finish him off so luke will take this time to enter Rey's mind, Rey with the help of Luke will try to get Palpatine out of her head, but Ben uses this to his advantage and whould gain the upper hand as the battle in Rey's mind continues, eventually Rey will tell Luke to kill Ben and her while she holds off Palpatine to prevent him from getting in the way but Luke was too late and Ben killed Rey first however Palpatine's essence whould transfer to him, Ben feeling guilty for killing Rey decides to make up for it by holding off Palpatine and trapping him in his body so Luke can permanently kill both of them, Luke does so and after defeating Palpatine at the cost of Ben and Rey, and helping the resistence in stopping the Sith fleet, Luke will take on Finn as his aprentice and the 2 whould gather up force sensitives across the galaxy and reform the Jedi Order on Ach To as well as raise Rey and Ben's child to be a Jedi
Only thing id disagree is Rey's sabre skills aren't that great..she's not a Kenobi or Anakin..she's a bit choppy in style..😉. I'd say as Luke backs away they end up in chemical storage and machinery the Emperor used to maintain his body.. and Luke uses the Force to release a valve and both Rey and Ben are flash frozen in a form of carbonite..they're alive but permanently held in stasis..trapping the Emperor too.. the carbonite shorts out the sabres on contact causing an explosion that knocks Luke back holding the child...with the Emperor's control gone the place begins to cave in..with ground breaking Rey and Ben like metallic living statues sink deep into the collapsed core of Exegol..buried for all time.. but the galaxy is saved. And yeah Luke joins Finn and others and refounds the Temple Academy.. years pass and he looks at the child growing and smiles he sees Rey and Ben in the child.. music rises with A New Hope theme from Revenge of the Sith.. the end lol?
@@caderen5624 I don't know how much someone controlled by a Force Spirit wud affect their movements.. if they were just an empty vessel then how could they resist internally? So if can try and resist then must have some say in how actions are taken? It might have more detail in legends stories ie dark lords of the sith? But I'm not sure..I just thought Rey's style wud still be present..if it's total Palpatine then cannot see Ben having any chance in any way..
@@neilmurphy966 thats exactly why the fight lasted long, ben stole a few knowledge from palpatine through rey, but since rey was trying to resist, palpatine didnt have complete control which is why it was a stalemate for most of the fight

I literally be on the edge of my seat listening/watching your videos. As for the open-ended ending, I respect that decision. The story, in my opinion, was good and believable either way. The force bond between Ben and Rey would have made it impossible for insidious or anyone else to completely break allegiances between them. ...Also the child would bring back Rey and Ben to the light to protect the baby as well as each other.
Star Wars Analyst has a video showing how the World Between Worlds as a concept was at one time going to be included (by Lucas!) in TESB.. in scene where the Emperor talks with Vader on the Super Star Destroyer...could be relevant..to Ben Solo return idea? 🤔

I made my own reylo children and they were twins, Hahna Solo & Casimir Skywalker, the former taking after Ben and the latter taking after Rey. Anyway, thanks so much for this! I kinda have my own conclusion written up in my head, so the video’s doing its purpose 😉
I think Ben would come out alive while Rey and Luke end up killing each other, and for one simple reason: he's the one holding a child. Rey, even as Empress, wouldn't want to risk hurting her baby, and Luke would have a similar handicap in regards to hurting an innocent again. So that leaves them free to go all out on each other while Ben mostly stays out of the way. I don't think he would be a total bystander during the fight, but I do think his daughter would be an effective shield, for lack of a better term, against his opponents.
If any sort of compromise was out of the equation, I think that makes the most sense too. I could also see Rey losing control just as Anakin did with Padme. The dark side is merciless!
I do not believe that maternal instinct would have any bearing when the dark side takes over.. think of some mothers who are unwell and hurt their children..the dark side is even stronger.. once it starts it twists the person.. I'm not sure Rey has maturity to resist..she was easily led by the Emperor in episode ix.. so.... But the Luke awakening to his earlier strength yeah that sounds true!!

We all like to applaud Vader for overcoming the Dark Side in ROTJ and saving Luke, while overlooking the fact that in ESB he was perfectly fine with cutting his son's hand off before prepossing that they kill the Emperor and rule together. So yeah, the Dark Side can really mess with parental instincts.
@@neilmurphy966 But I still think that Kylo/Ben having possession of his daughter would end up working in his favor, since while even if Rey is completely consumed by the Dark Side, Kylo/Ben never was. He would still have that need to protect his offspring, even from his own mate, especially if she turns on them both.

And Ben with the child is a cool image..shows his tender side.. in fact I think I wudve preferred episode ix if roles were reversed and Ben lived instead of Rey..that also may have satisfied many of critics.. all these ideas sound lot like the Legends books ie Luke angry and driven after Mara Jade was killed..people drawing great strength from the Force..
I appreciate the suggestions but there’s a couple of issues. This video essentially was a scenario for Luke living after The Last Jedi. Other circumstances were altered as well, but it was largely the same in my opinion. The Palpatine thing could certainly be interesting, but I also feel that a lot of people won’t be able to follow because they have not seen Rebels. I like how uve given Finn a better role..he shudve been used more in finale...afterall it was about how Jedi wud return.. is not all Rey..

Can you do a "what if luke had lived after the last jedi" or a "what if ezra opened the world between worlds for palpatine", your AUs are really great
