    ℹ️About the episode:
When we first started our RV journey during Season 1, our purpose was simple. Spend time with our family and explore the States. It was amazing. Overtime, our purpose started to shift to creating weekly videos and build the best RV community, ever. Our dream and purpose continue to evolve.
What would RVing be like without a defined purpose? The short answer is…not as rewarding.
No matter why would like to travel, take a minute to identify your purpose and create a way to measure it. Some people want to visit all 50 states, others want to visit each National Park and some use their RV as a way to give even more.
Tim & Jenny are those RVers. Tim was the recipient of the Ronald McDonald House when he was in his twenties and now he serves dinner every month at the Ronald McDonald House in Louisville, KY. In three years, Tim and Jenny will retire and their dream is to serve dinner at all 170 Ronald McDonald Houses in the States. As he says in the video, he is the one that will benefit most from his service.

I have a premie baby that was born at 24 weeks and since he has to stay in the hospital for quite a few months and we live almost 3 hours away from the hospital we use the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City Utah. You guys have no idea how helpful the services that they provide are! It is one of the biggest blessings to have someone that volunteers their time to cook you a dinner to relive a little of the stress of having a sick child fighting for their life at the hospital! I can't even find the words to express how thankful I am!!!! But, thank you to everyone that volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House!!!!❤

Thank you so much for volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. I seen the support they gave to my best friends family first hand in some of their most stressful time and really appreciate them. Especially when it was over Christmas and they had a Christmas party for the siblings staying at the house, exactly what they needed, some normalcy. Thanks again.

This one hits close to home for us. Rick sisters 2nd child was born with Spinal Bifida he had his first surgery at two months old in Denver Colorado. She would drive there from Wyoming and stayed at the Ronald McDonald House the people who volunteer in these homes are truly sent here from Jesus. They always knew how to keep the spirits of the family's lifted up. Our nephew is now 28 and raising his own family.
Thank y'all for cooking and preparing this amazing meal for the families I know they appreciate it.

As a nurse working at a hospital in an area with no kind of accommodations for family members and hearing many stories of people who have benefited from RMH, it makes my heart so happy to see people taking care of people in these tough situations ! I can’t think of a better retirement than what Tim & Jenny have planned....thanks to all of you !!! What a beautiful story !

The experience gave me a passion for giving back. We now volunteer for months at a time at various camps. And donating time and supplies to our hometown RHMC when we’re back in Ks. I firmly believe we are all designed to serve others. It will change your heart like nothing else. Thank you for this week’s video. Touched my heart.

    RMH... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ !
... they saved my sanity 8 years ago when my daughter got sick while on vacation In SanDiego... wow I can’t say enough about the volunteers behind the meals and that comfort food that was provided and the services that they provide not just for the parents but the whole family is supported. Even though I was living in my daughters hospital room with her, hospital showers don’t get hot enough to wash the stress away... so I would go to RMH to take an unlimited hot shower to wash the stress away to be able to face another day... along with all the meals and laundry facility and sleep rooms of pure silence. I was able to get away from the hospital room of stress and hard stuff. So many great people. There was even entertainment that I snuck my daughter over for when she started getting well enough for “long walks”...
thank you for highlighting RMH. Next time you’re in SanDiego go volunteer and even do a video on all they do there.

The section with Tim and Jenny had my eyes tearing up even before we learned of Tim's son, as I was also a parent who spent a lot of time at the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City (2009), with my son Caleb James Bond who now resides in Heaven (2011). I am and always will be so grateful for those who came to serve and bring hugs and kindness to those of us staying there. I say, "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!" for your gift of love and service Tim and Jenny!! And Thank you Trish and Mark for going above and beyond in choosing to serve such a wonderful and thought out meal! Meals of that caliber, above and beyond, were always extra appreciated!!!

You will never know how much I appreciate and the love I feel for your family through this video. I had tears in my eyes that ran the emotional spectrum while watching this episode. KYD is the Hallmark Channel of RUclips because y’all are so wholesome and endearing.
The Ronald McDonald House is such a special foundation that gives to families in their most vulnerable time. These babies are going through such an ordeal with their health and disability, these families are going through such agony. The simple gesture of a home cooked meal and therapeutic conversations from loving families is immensely important!

Great job & what a great idea Tim & Jenny have for their retirement of making dinner for every Ronald McDonald House in the USA 🇺🇸, amazing idea!! Best idea ever!! Kudos for taking time out to cook for Ronald McDonald house. I know the families really appreciated your sacrifice.
Thanks for info on Franklin. Will keep that in mind. Sounds like a great place.
Received my KYD hat. I love it. It looks and feels great. Thank you. Getting ready to leave Montana for a few months. Need to find a warmer area. Probably end up in southern Arizona. Will put our KYD sticker on or rig. Oh, and of course traveling Ginger will be riding along.

I loved the 'dead body' on the back seat when you were talking about the toll pass. LOL.. The Caleb mimicry while Dad was talking, LOL.
I also love that you get that giving to others is fulfilling to you more than the recipients. I'm a Lion and get to have those experiences on a regular basis.

Love your channel! Love the RMDH! I have a friend that works there in the Indiana HQ. Regarding the ezpass, we learned the hard way about not using funds within a year. Our funds were added into the VA unclaimed funds where it is bear to get them released. Not sure if this rule has changed or if it is different per state where issues but that was a bummer. Still trying to get our $67 back lol! Cheers to a fantastic holiday season!

Great episode. Those are some special people helping at the Ronald McDonald House.
I’ve never been to Franklin, but I’ve got a cousin that lives there and a Marine Corps buddy who is buried in the National Cemetery there.
    Again, excellent episode.

Excellent video...especially the idea of "Purpose driven retirement". On a side note, and for those of us that have been watching since your first flat tire, it would be nice, every once in a while, to hear how Torie and Carson are doing. v/r, TS - Denver, CO

Sometimes that Caleb makes me slide right out of my chair. I ran that back twice to watch him spoof his dad. He reminds me of me when I was his age. I also love the volunteering at the Ron McDon House. Big hugs for everyone!!

I spent 6 weeks at a Ronald McDonald house after my grandbaby had brain surgery and then developed cerebellar mutism. It was a life changing experience for our family and we will be forever grateful for the Ronald McDonald organization. My granddaughter is now 9 years old and doing well.

Enjoyed seeing you all cook a meal together. Such a worth while thing to do. My Women on Mission group will be cooking dinner at our Ronald McDonald house in Birmingham Alabama next year. We are so looking forward to it. Yes Trish you should do a RV cookbook! It would really sell. By the way we met you, Marc and Caleb at the campground in Tok Alaska in 2018 (KennyandCandy's Travels). And yes you were cooking a wonderful meal in the grill so we didn't stay long. Safe travels.

Thanks for another great video. Also thanks for helping and showing everything the Ronald McDonald House does. They helped us many years ago in North Carolina when our son was very sick. He didn’t live but 20 months but I will never forget the kindness of folks at RMH. You have made us want to stop and help the house’s along the way in our RV travels. Thanks again and Merry Christmas from Tom and Donna Boatwright
