When Týr teamed up with the Symphony Orchestra of the Faroe Islands on February 8th, 2020, to record the double-disc/DVD release A Night At The Nordic House, founding frontman Heri Joensen was thrilled to bring together two of the music forms he loves most - folk and classical - into his band’s unorthodox form of music. But at the time, he couldn’t have imagined what a profound impact the collaboration would have on his musical vision, and how much it would influence and inform the album he would write a few years later.
“There’s a reason classical music is called classical,” Joensen says. “It's the classical way of doing it. And it creates these epic sounds that fit in perfectly with the kind of metal we do in TÝR. So, there’s full orchestration on all of the new songs.”
"Battle Ballads" features the stunning artwork of by Gyula Havancsak.

So basically what's happens in this video is that our Hero is casually leveling up his blacksmithing skills but realizes he needs some silver ore. So he hops on his horse and gets riding, from Helgen Homestead straight to Dragon Mound and makes a sharp left turn till he reach Southfringe Sanctum, but on the way there he is engaged in a random encounters with a high lvl Conjurer, not sure if its hostile or not he drops a low lvl sword on the ground and the NPC picks it up. The video cuts short but the Conjurer is just about to tell our hero stop littering and to pick up his trash.

My goodness, first time listening to TYR, this is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! The melody's are amazing, the singing is lovely, the drums are just phenomenal, and the symphonic elements...... YES YES AND MORE YES!!

Caught these guys live with Demons & Wizards and Lizzy Borden. All three were top shelf. Seeing and hearing Tyr I felt like I should have been helping row a serpent-prowed Viking longship with shields hanging off the sides.⛵ I was hanging toward the back of the venue and Matt Barlow walked right by me and I was like: "hey wait, isn't that....?" But I didn't get to talk to him. Then he ended up joining D&W onstage as a surprise guest during I Died For You and the second everyone heard his voice come in (still from offstage) the place erupted like a volcano.
I think this is my favorite TYR song now!!!!!

Cool band. Nice video. Love the name of the group. Makes me think of the Black SabbathTyr album, only this has much much more energy. I ove orchestra combined with metal. Going all the way back to the band Believer in their Sanity Obscure days doing Dies Irae (Day of Wrath).

I miss the Eric the Red days. This is just middling power metal, like their last several albums. I guess it appeals to a broader audience, but the magic has long since gone.
I actually just had to start listening through Erik the Red now, the new stuff isn't bad either but that album is amazing

Oh my gosh, when I clicked this song there started a commercial of some absolutely awful crap. For a moment I was like okay, so you made this now... Well getting over to the song, not good enough. Tyr has always been on the border, you breach above with your best songs, while most don't. This doesn't, sorry, hope the rest of the album has some choruses and catchy melodies, which this doesn't have.
Too clean. Sorry not sorry.
