this song helped inspire me to move away from the place i'd spent my whole life, and move far away to a place i'd never heard of. this song helped change my life. thanx TYR! (and tyr is just as good live as their studio albums)
I moved to the Bay Area, where i'd never been, to a town i'd never heard of, surrounded by strangers. just me and my dog. been here 11 years now, and never missed a TYR show.
Into the Storm, Land, and Ocean are three of the most epic songs, a lot of songs out there about the norse sailing out to explore/raid and such are pretty much about how badass they were but these two songs really put it into perspective the giant leap they faced when they first sailed out to sea. Leaving their homes behind in search of new land not knowing if it would be their last voyage, and as well they wouldn't know what type of sea creatures could possibly exist out there that we take for granted knowing about. We know the sea life, but for all they know there was sea creatures the size of a mountain out in that sea
"Cattle die Kinsmen will die I myself must die too someday All are mortal men But fair fame will never fade For the man who wins it" Let the honor and glory that lies in the hearts of all warriors and explorers like Leif, Eric, Trondar, and others never fade
First time i heard this song i was unimpressed! Second time i heard this song something stirred, Third time i heard this song i realised that a metal masterpiece was in my ears! TYR FOREVER \m/-_-\m/
I'm not gonna be one of those guys but there's something about the older, lower fidelity sound that I just love about this band that isn't on their new albums. That being said though nothing they have is bad.

@@EliasCassab Bitte sehr! My German is very bad, but i am glad you hear the connection! I love Týr, but also the classical composers, so, herzlichen grüssen to you!
Týr is a perfect band, dude... Their music changes all lifes of those who listen to they. Hail Týr!!! XD
Agreed. HAIL!! \m/
10 years late but there is a new single for the new album coming out, Lucas. They still don't miss, Hail Tyr!

I can't say it's something I'd be able to do.

Leggið nýggjar árar út,
tað flýtur ein snekkja
fyri hertogans garða,
hon er sær av alm-við og eikini harða,
leggið nýggjar árar út.

when the singing stops and the scream starts...

Goosebumps, right? It's written by a famous Faroese poet named Janus Djurhuus.
Epic, epic and may I say it again EPIC. An incredible piece of music.
It's a shame they don't play this live...
In the end of the song there is the classical playing...... I NEED MORE.... WHY ISNT THERE MORE? THE SONG IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!
