I agree, the lyrics are an intense love poem, the composition is to perfection and Bowie's voice elevates the entire thing to something almost ethereal with the perfect placement of inflection and tone on the words and the notes with such an incredible range. It is as close to a perfect song as you are ever likely to get and only Bowie could have achieved this. Only he could have imagined it in this rendition. It evokes such an emotional response every time I listen to it and I am drawn back to it repeatedly. Miss him so much 💓

I was in a shitty ass hospital for three weeks at some point, living in an east european country, and all I had was Bowie's songs on my old nokia phone, being alone most of the time. This meant the world to me.
