Not really, just a matter of which way you wish to run the ubtix. Pocket rxtx is a great program and has various modes .. Via USB I find it works well but via server mode I find the ubitx reacts too slowly. The remote head is just an experiment . I usually run the 2.8 nextion on the ubitx and a 7 inch in its own case on top of it.

Are there any advantages of running a remote head with the nexion over using a tablet with pocket rxtx as a remote?
