    Oakley airbrakes are the sole reason I still have a right eye. Had s fairly big crash earlier in the year and ended up tangled up in some barbed wire and these goggles saved my eyes. The lens is tough as nails and barely gouged from the impact so worth there wait in gold and I WILL NOT wear anything else. Thank you Oakley for keeping me my vision!

    I have been riding a set of Oakley Airbrake MX for downhill mountain bike racing and non competitive moto riding for about 2.5 years now. In the last year I've noticed that the anti fog system is definitely failing and they will fog up when you stop moving, or if it is very wet or damp.other than that it is the best lens removal system i have ever seen in goggles

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 года назад

      The Airbrake are known for not being the best when it comes to not fogging. I love the fit, the lens change system and everything else about them. A little trick to help out is take out a little bit of the foam on the top of the goggle to let more air come in. The Airbrake uses a really dense foam on top which helps keep dust out but isn't good for fogging. You don't have to remove a lot to get more air in. I just deal with the fogging and try to take them off as soon as I stop riding. - Chase

    Which goggle has the largest view port opening? I've already bought 4 pairs of new goggles and they all feel like binoculars compared to my old Spy Magneto's which are now completely worn out. From what I understand the original Dragon NFX had a giant opening, but I'm having trouble finding MX oriented ones, all I see is the ski and snow versions.

      Man, that is a tough question. I would say that out of all the goggles on the table, and price not being a factor, I'd choose either the Fox Vue or the Airbrake. These two have the best systems for removing and changing the lens and are some of the most comfortable I've worn. And between those two, I think the Vue has more peripheral vision, but I loooove the Prizm lens from Oakley. The 100% are a little more budget friendly but the fit is too narrow for me. The prospects are also really good but changing the lens is kind of a pain. If i had to choose just one, I'd go with the airbrake with prizm lens. Hope this helps-Chase

      right on. I've actually ridden in them as well. You're right, the lens change system is really good. My issue I had was with the fit and fogging. The fit for me was too narrow and for some reason, even with the dual pane lens, they seemed to fog up easily if I wasn't moving. Has that happened to you?-Chase

    Testing with KR is marketing horse shit.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  5 лет назад

      Why would testing with Roczen be bad? You don't think a top world rider knows what makes a good goggle? I was able to see many of the prototypes that they made and tested with Ken when I was at Fox headquarters.

    • @bearmims6717
      @bearmims6717 5 лет назад

      sdmerkr. oooooo we have a KR hater, you really cant talk shit when you have one of the worlds best riders making the "perfect" goggle. He has worn literally hundreds of different brands and models of goggles, I think he knows what a good goggle is.

    • @sdmerkr
      @sdmerkr 5 лет назад

      I like KR. I said the marketing was horse shit. That goggle was already finished by the time KR tried it. Whether or not KR liked it, it was coming out with his stamp on it. Thats what big sponsorship money does. So upgrade your knowledge.
