What did you find most interesting about Paul Heyman?
How he can literally change a whole superstars career as a heel like Brock Lesnar,cm punk Roman reigns and more when Roman was a face he was getting booed badly and was bad as a face but as a heel he is literally god tier especially with Paul Heyman
🙀🙀🙀That he has known the Anoa’i family for a very long time!😱😱😱
His reactions🤣🤣
can I be a mod
The simple fact that he's Paul Heyman. What gets me is, most people don't even know his complete client list. They will literally say "just Roman" which is false. This man has been around for a very long time. I grew watching him. My favorite time with him was when he managed Psycho Sid and the beef with Sting. Not to mention his ECW days
Without question, Heyman is going into the Hall of Fame and he rightfully deserves it. When it happens is unknown, but as long as he can still work a microphone, he is going to still be in the business.
The WWE hall of fame or the ECW hall of fame?
@@lostalone9320 Absolutely
@@SlickTim9905 both. Totally both.
Might not happen but I hope he main events WM40 HOF.
@@SlickTim9905 both
Mr. Heyman is one of the, not so many, pillars that is holding WWE up right now.
Yet Vince ditched Paul for Bruce Pritchard..
Talk about a downgrade
Paul is ALWAYS GOLDEN AND BRILLIANT on the mic!!! Whether he is talking about wrestling or anything else!!! Genius without even trying!!!!
BROOOOOCK LESNER
my client BROOOOCCCKK LESSNARRR!!
Say what you want about Paul Heyman, but the man has an incredible mind for the business.
Yeah I agree
I wonder where he'll stand with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns
Yes indeed absolutely he's more brilliant than Bobby the Brain . Paul is on a level all by himself
It took almost 30 years for some people to realize that.
Absolutely loves professional wrestling
As a new to wrestling fan thanks to my 13 year old son becoming obsessed, I have grown to love Paul Heyman. Watching this just solidifies this man is a walking, working legend.
If someone deserves Hall of fame induction, this guy does. The amount of work he put for this business to help and develop wrestler characters past the years is...unbelievable!
Man I could listen to Mr Heyman’s stories of the wrestling history for hours!
Same! Also his words of wisdom.
@@ryanEstandarte definitely 👍🏽👊🏽
He needs a podcast !
Oh, absolutely! He drops Pure Gems.
@@ryanEstandarte Absolutely!
Paul’s actually a really nice guy outside of WWE.
Yeah he is I would love to meet him one day
Alot of these guys are. They just are hated for their ruthless business decisions and people think there are bad people. It's just business.
Everyone is
@@edgarsoto5297 lol not everyone
@@watersandblue6001 i meant those who are in wwe
Paul Heyman has lots of history in the WWE arena that needs to be documented for sure. its interesting to hear him talk about wrestlers in the 1970s
The man is 55 years old and has been in the wrestling business for 4 + decades so no it not odd/interesting hearing him talk about 1970's wrestling or wrestlers which is actually the wrestling he grew up on and Heyman is a student of the business that's why he's still in the business and a very rich man
You can FEEL his passion for the business which comes out every week on the screen. His knowledge and understanding of it separates him, which is why he is head and shoulders above the rest. It's no coincidence why others would align themselves with "the advocate".
“I just never wanted a real job in my life” oh Paul I don’t either.
The man seems really nice and respectful which is like the complete opposite of his character XD
Paul's breathing is the secret third voice in this interview
😂😂😂
🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Best mannger , best mic skill of all time , promos, future hall of fame,
But he hasn't been a "manager" since like the 80s or 90s lol.
Hands down....the Gold Standard of Mic skills this side of the late great Bobby the Brain Heenan R.I.P BRAIN!!
@@aceofpittsburgh yeah I agree I wasn’t born in that era so yeah lol
@@gavyrobo I was born in 89 but I've heard plenty of interviews of Heyman talking about it. He's one of my favorite people in the wrestling industry.
@@johnramsey2480 Paul Bearer also he was always underrated.
Paul Heyman with Roman Reigns is Paul at his best (to me)! His facials, mannerisms and course his deliveries are TOP NOTCH!
Can't say Ryan Satin is a great interviewer, but when you've got a great interviewee, the information spilleth over.
Yeah, he came across like he was trying too hard and talked a bit too much about himself. Chis Van Vliet is the prime example all interviewers should follow.
@@senoka4638 I'm a big CVV fan too. Also has the greatest range of different interviewees I'd say
First time I'm seeing this guy but I generally feel like people are too harsh on interviewers for whatever reason
@@senoka4638 It seemed like he really wanted Paul to approve of and like him, and was trying a bit too hard to that effect.
Paul's recollection of history is second to none. A true legend of the business.
Watching this was like being in a class at uni, listening to a voice of experience and quick wit. Respect Mr Heyman 💪
This man got Paul's whole body language to him, great interview
That was cool to hear more about Arnold Skaaland.
Absolutely!
Love this interview. He is not advocating his throne he’s defending it 🔥 you have to push yourself to be better than you where yesterday. So many gems in this interview
He’s not ‘abdicating’ (giving up) the throne, he’s defending it.
That’s what he actually said.
My first memory of paul heyman was back in the day as paul e dangerously
He had The Dangerous Alliance faction.
What a brilliant interview. You rarely see him just speak as himself like that. He usually always treats it as a work/shoot
Paul is really a Nice man I appreciate him so much and what he did for the wrestler who got opportunities
Thank God for Mr. Heyman!!! Everything he's involved in is just gold!! I love how he just instantly flipped into character right at the end.
Glad to see Damien Sandow back!
Lmao
😂😂😂
Paul Heyman the legend, when somebody plays a guy you hate that much, you know he's doing his job well, and the fact he has been around as long as he has in the industry, great guy.
Seriously without a doubt, I can listen to this man talk forever. His stories and his insight are legendary in my mind.
Petition for Paul Heyman to start a wrestling broadcast
Heyman vs Cornette (they're actually pretty similar type of guys)
@@smarkslowplay3512 true
Yes a podcast I would Love to hear his wrestling stories about his Life it dont have to be just about his Life it he can talk about anything
Paul, you are an inspiration and the best storyteller in the world, not only in the pro wrestling industry
You can easily tell that Ryan Satin is enjoying this interview..
Very much so! Haha
True lol
Say what you want but Paul Heyman is such a good guy with great talent, brilliant. True story ,Cena an Heyman are good friends
The greatest talker in WWE history.
Hands down him and MVP are gonna be gold!!!!! When roman vs Lashley survivor series
Maybe not just in WWE history but pro wrestling history as a whole.
You forgot about John cena ?
@@tylereckhard336 naw Cena's good on the mic but he's not mount Rushmore like Punk or Roddy Piper or Foley.
When it comes to promo skills , Paul Heyman is a God
Facts
And your profile pic is amazing!!!
Having been a fan of Paul Heyman since BEFORE his days of working in the AWA with Verne Gagne, and carrying that white, 5 pound, brick looking cell phone, I have confirmed that he is, in fact, the genius, the mad scientist, the whatever you choose to call him. But what he does best, IMHO, is bringing out the absolute BEST out of EVERYONE he works with.
Cant believe i just watch a full interview about 45 mins. Paul Heyman you are legend one of the best.
Heyman giving props to all the early managers Respect him for this Throwing facts about them This man is something special he’s indeed paying tribute to all of them
7:44 that's class! Paul was and still is a great on screen character 👍
Paul Heyman is hands down the best manager in the business. He and Paul Bearer are both on their own pedestals 👏🏾 can’t be touched
I don't know how Hollywood never took notice of Paul Heyman
Yeah I know right lol
Dude is a true genius of the professional wrestling world.
Nope. He is boring always the same thing from cm punk to now. Boring
@@kaydis5307 Yeah right lol.
Truly! 😁😁😁
Best episode so far Ryan!
The interview being in person is so much better and also cos it's Paul Heyman.
He gets it, and if you ever get a shot to meet him, DO IT. He’s really great with fans.
39:51 "That may be me drinking my own kool-aid, but it taste good at the moment". Classic. 😅
I can listen to Paul Heyman all day long. The man is full of energy, vigor and passion for anything and everything that he is involved with. Thank you for doing this interview, for this (points to self) Paul Heyman guy!
It will be a very sad day. When he decides to retire. Much respect for you @paul heyman
There is no one like Pauly! No one can replace this guy! The GOAT!
Always love these interviews with Paul Heyman. He speaks so well and is a great storyteller.
One of the best
He's one of the reason why WWE is still standing
*Pearl of Wisdom* (with slight re-word) from Paul Heyman:
Failure just means you tried something that either the circumstances dictated it ain't gonna happen for you yet or you weren't ready to achieve that goal yet but you learn along the way and you learn what went wrong and either you apply it to the same pursuit when you go back for it again or the next pursuit that you make you say "Okay, I'm going to get something out of that failure, I'm going to profit from that failure, I'm going to get something positive from that failure then I can apply to this pursuit and this goal will be achieved because that goal wasn't so maybe that goal was the sacrifice for this goal to actually happen.
Omg this interview is the best ever!!! Paul Heyman is good on the mic and his promos are solid gold those punchlines that took u by surprise which that's why he's the best ever.
I wish he can appear at least on the Phoenix Wright games as a Prosecutor that would be so epic a battle of wits between Phoenix Wright vs The Advocate Prosecutor ahhh that would be 👌
Heyman doing a voice in Phoenix Wright falls on 2 things: 1.) If he would be interested & 2.) If WWE would let him. Outside companies whether it's Hollywood or video game companies have to get permission from WWE to use the talent
I find his promos so funny he’s so good at what he does and this interview is so funny btw and I love his work with Roman he’s one of my favorite managers of all time he’s right up there with mvp I put Paul as my first favorite manager and mvp as my second favorite manager too so yeah I find Paul so hilarious on the mic and also in these interviews and I would love to meet Paul one day and I would love to work with him one day it’s one of my dreams rn lol
I absolutely love that he mentioned Arnold
And that he mentioned my hometown white plains NY
Arnold and his son George were family friends with my dad.and mom. This made me smile a lot. Thanks Ryan for this interview.
A phenomenal interview with The Advocate 🙂
Thanks!
Special Counsel
I can't ever picture Paul Heyman without that ponytail he had..
The thing he said about failure, its amazingly wise. I'm going to remember this statement.
Paul Heymn is Good at telling stories. Very Entertaining!
Watching the lad mark out, reminded me why I love this business! Amazing to watch, thank you!!
Paul as u know u r truly brilliant.
Yeah he is brilliant
Great interview
Paul is THE BEST
He sounds kinda diff with a deep voice cuz he’s not screaming 😂
I didnt know that Paul Heeeeyman is this interesting. a very nice conversation. When you fail and bounce back, you come back better because you got experience in your hands
Paul Heyman is unbelievably good at his job, always feel like he's rehersed for hours before on air. What a rare talent! I reckon, he's an absolute bliss or horrible nightmare to work with as program director, because he's so natural at cutting promos and make 15 minutes long speech feel like a minute and he so consistent at keeping his gimmick on parralal with his real life. Never fails to amaze, never makes me feel bored, that too for more than two decades long!
That was a lot of fun.
Fantastic interview. Thanks!
Love this interview
This interview is gold!
My only complaint is this isn't hours long. God, Paul Heyman is absolutely fantastic and just fascinating overall; it's just so incredible getting wrestling history lessons from such encyclopedic mind for the business.
Paul Heyman needs a biopic, ASAP.
Potential wild statement - would Paul be in the convo of top 5 most influential people in modern day (post-Attitude era) wrestling? Really break down everything he's done, and how people speak about him... thoughts?
I've been a huge Heyman fan since 2001 WWF VS Alliance days
(( It Was My First Time With Seeing Paul Heyman In Year 2001 ))
Really good interview... Paul Heyman was/is really an interesting character.
The best actors in thier best roles are not really acting. It comes from a personal truth. They are expressing thier self in a over the top and fictional way. Paul's knowledge of the business and mic skills are legendary.
Thank You Damian Sandow for this Great interview
Waiting for the head of the table vs the beast
One and only old school manger around and behind the scenes pretty good full respect
The though of Cagney came into my mind and Heyman then mentions Cagney. I felt there was a link. Great stuff.
Paul Heyman is not the guy, he is THE guy.
Facts
Paul Heyman is entertainment personified!! There will never be another like him. Whenever the man is gone wrestling will never be the same
Heyman is a genius of the wrestling industry. One of wrestlings greatest minds.
Thank you Fox for making smackdown great again 🙏🏿⚘🌹🌷
Paul Heyman is a gift to every wrestling fan when it comes to promos. Man is on a different level
Paul heyman is a living legend. Legit!
The legend Paul Heyman telling stories about the legends of his time this was amazing
I was privileged to be wrestling photographer when Paul was young guy and we both hung out with Ernie Roth in his hotel room on days of MSG shows...I'll never forget those magical yrs in my life...
good interview and the right guy did it
I could sit and listen to Paul all day every day.
Class that. Well done
Paul Heyman is a goat and always be
Yup I agree
I like this interview style, just sitting having a laugh with Paul Heyman
I used to hate Paul hey an but as I been older the more I understood what he was doing then I realized this man is a genius out there and doesn't even wrestle. Some how j became entertained and wanted more Paul Heyman. Outside the ring this man is a really good guy and does lots for everyone around him.
Paul is a legend. People accuse him of being a liar but that's ridiculous because every promoter lies. It's in the nature of what they do - promote and embellish the truth. Paul just did it in a way that changed the wrestling industry forever.
Big respect for Paul Heyman
Heyman is a true student of the game. So glad he's still around doing as great of a job as he ever did.
oh wow the kind of video that i can't miss... thank you very much. I would really like to ear Vince McMahon more often in interviews, since the Chris Benoit story, its rare that we can see him
Thank you Paul!
I swear the interviewer is the best Damian sandow lookalike 😆😆😆.
The greatest manager of all time period.
Gorgeous George Jr. did become a manager,he became a manager down in Tennessee under Ron Fuller's Southeastern Championship Wrestling. He took over the management roll for the Mongolian Stomper for Don Carson. Late 70's and early 80's.
