Ooh, I started playing this recently since a friend has it. Here are some tricks I picked up by playing with him that I don't see you using. I have like super OCD from watching my friend play, because he's like perfect at the game, so some of these tricks are only a little helpful. 1. Always grapple. It's faster than running, and it's faster than wall jumping. Every grapple spot is there for a reason, there are no tricks. 2. To avoid the hook item, just slide as it hits you. You'll slow down a bit as is the nature of sliding, but it won't affect you. You can do it in the air too, so no worries there. 3. If you fall onto a downward slope, you'll get a snazzy speed boost for the duration of the slope. 4. If there is a shortcut, you should almost always go for it. Unless it's the shortcut in the first stage you played (The one where Spencer died trying to take it), there often isn't a huge risk to going for it. If you consistently fail at it, THEN you stop using it. 5. When you reach a choice between an item or a turbo, take the turbo. It is always the better option unless you have full turbo, which is never. 6. When you hit a wall jump wall while you're still ascending, you'll slide up the wall a bit. Use that instead of jumping back and forward again if you're right at the top of the wall. For that matter, you should be hitting the wall while still ascending regardless, it gives you fantastic vertical momentum.
Even though I only played for one hour... I always try to save up my boosts for a space that is loooong and plain. If I empty the bar there I almost always knock all three of my enemies out. I can mostly keep up with others not using boost (and that is because I didn't know what boost was back then and still managed to be quite competitive. Still definetly below average, but at least something. xD You have to be at the front line though to accomplish this mostly, but sometimes it works without that :P Your sixth tip was incomplete. :D If there is grappling space you should try to hit the wall while grappling short at a >45° angle and just wait. Seriously, that momentum is insane and you slide up walls like a boss. xD
I wish you guys did do more of this game. It was really good. At the time, I skipped a lot of LP's including this one, but I decided to watch all of them later. Luckily, it was very shortly after this. It is luckily because the home page probably would've been covered with other videos if my decision came later.
I would love to see more of this; I've seen other LPers play this (notably PeanutButterGamer and Markiplier) and it's always a blast. So maybe... Speedrunning Saturdays? :P
That was a nice change of pace. I hope they play more Indie games because alot of them are local multiplayer and they don't get seen to their full potential with 4 Ppl. Too bad they don't live together. I'd like to see them play Crawl or something.

I think you should play any other games like fun run, gang beasts, and garrys mod when smash bros dosnt work. No new series just new games every Sunday. And if you like one of those games or when you cant find any other games.....make a part 2,3,4etc. ...for a game.
