The best Disco song ever! I use to dance the night away in the clubs dancing to this song and many others. This was my favorite!! I am 52 years old, and wish I could go back to those days!!!!We all lived the best era in music, and I am happy to have been part of it..
We're a progressive metal band, but I continually tell anyone who will listen (and some who won't) that this is not only the GREATEST DISCO song of all time, but an absolute masterpiece across all genres! Everything about it is truly unbelievable; the arrangement, the vocals, the changes, the musicianship, the complexity...And let's not leave out the obvious, parts 1 and 2 are over 15 minutes long and you not only never get bored, but you're sad when it's over! More people need to spread the word about this amazing treasure! It's a shame it's not nearly as well known as other far inferior songs of its era!
My favorite song of all time. I was young when it came out. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and went to a club called Romeo and Juliet. And when they played this song I danced my a*s off. Im sure glad I remember those times. Best music ever !!!!
My good friend, a DJ for decades passed away 2 years ago. He showed me all this music including Alec Constandinos, amazing tunes and they fit right in the dance floor today. I miss my good friend.
THIS REMINDS ME OF NEW JERSEY I LIVED UP THERE FROM 1978 TO 1986, I USED TO TO THE BINGHAMPTON BOAT ON THE HUDSON RIVER OVERLOOKING NEW YORK CITY. AND SONG WAS ALWAYS PLAYED. THIS BRINGS LOTS OF VERY BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES THAT WILL NEVER FORGET.
This song rocks it reminds me cruising down 86 street, Brooklyn, NY. Man those were the days, in my 1979 Bonneville Brougham with plush red velvet seats . Loved it..........
The best of all time! It's ashame that today's kids don't really know what good music is. All today's dance music is is all beat with no orchestration to carry it along. We need to go back to THIS.
I agree. The San Francisco bay area was so alive with disco clubs everywhere. Disco music was mostly about love, romance, and uplifting fun dance music. "Romeo and Juliet" by Alec Constandinos, "At the Discotheque" by Lipstique, "If There's Love" by Amant, How Much, How Much I Love You" by Love and Kisses were my favorites but there were so many many more. Romance was always in the air. It was the best time of my life and 45 years later I still miss it so very much.
This is a beautifully orchestrated melody that will forever be in my memories. I have many hours on the dance floor because of this song. I picked up alot of girls dancing to this song. OMG the memories are so sweet. Disco lives on man...... LOL
Miami; the disco scene here was HUGE!. I was here and lived it and this one of the epic disco albums of all times. This was when I was young and life was good. Friday was the day to dance and we DID. Does anyone remember Casanova's?
Ah, to be a teenager again, going to Gino's on Friday night to learn the latest steps so we could rip the floor at the Copa the following day. Alec R. Costandinos was pure music genius. This is definitely his best of many great disco songs.
I partied with my Crew @, Paradise Garage NYC, from 1978-1987 core members! Larry Levan would captivate us and take us, on a journey with this! This song is one of my favorites from that awesome musical club era and it gives me chills, each and every time, i hear it! Most of my friends from that magical time, are long gone and transitioned so young but when I hear this and other songs Larry mixed and fed our souls, I remember those wonderful memories of them, that will last me my life time! Paradise Garage forever ♥️🌈🤎🤍🧡💛💜💙
this is my wife most favorite song of it's era. Back in 79 when we met in Brooklyn NY, she used to dance to this song in the park (F Park) for me as my boom box was blasting by the handball courts....
J’ai 50 ans et j’écoute toujours se sons magnifique à l’époque où c’était la fête dans ma vie et j’ai vécue en californie SAN DIEGO j’avais cette musique dans les oreilles que de beaux souvenirs
They filmed the Saturday Night Fever dance contest scenes there. My mom went there on one occasion and she said that light up dance for was fairly small compared to how it appeared in the film. ✨🎶✨💃🕺✨🎶✨
I was a kid growing up in South America in the 1970's and my dad bought this cassette (lol) and since then I have always liked this song. Ohhhh... those were the good times :-))
Used to dance my ass off at Ice Palace 57, The Ring, Stars, Paradise Garage and other assorted clubs to this fantastic classic! Life was great back then and the music was soooooo fine! Love to listen and reminisce about it!
I was a 14 year old kid living in Cochabamba - Bolivia when I first heard this song. My dad bought this cassette from one of his trips to the USA. I remember the impact it had on me and my friends, we would dance and dance, it was and still is a great disco song. Ohhhh.... those were the times !
So wonderful to hear Alec's stuff again. If only it was re-released along with the Love and Kisses LP so we could enjoy properly. Avicci's Heart on a Sleeve reminds me of Alec's work with its crescendos and drama.
I'm 46 now and when I used to dance to this song I was 13. You had to be 14 to get into this dance club, but we didn't have to have any formal ID to get in at the time. Man, this song was the most requested song at the place called Discotrek south of Minneapolis. Wow, this brings me back. THANK YOU!!!!

I'm 57 years old, I listened to this music when I was 14. And I'm listening to it now on vinyl.
The best Disco song ever! I use to dance the night away in the clubs dancing to this song and many others. This was my favorite!! I am 52 years old, and wish I could go back to those days!!!!We all lived the best era in music, and I am happy to have been part of it..

NO. BETTER. TIME. Great song.
My favorite song of all time. I was young when it came out. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and went to a club called Romeo and Juliet. And when they played this song I danced my a*s off. Im sure glad I remember those times. Best music ever !!!!
