My luck on Series 2 has me deep sighing and being sad. That Heavy Lumber I pulled in Series 1 really had me throwing good money after bad for awhile now :p.
I did finally get a Statue of Liberty card - a Yankee rookie, which seems to be one of the better non-Brewer players you could get with that background.

I ripped 4 series 2 hobby boxes that I ordered from Fanatics and very disappointed. Two of the boxes had four base only packs in them. I would expect one or two in a box, but four packs without as much as a base insert was very disppointing. The hobby jumbo I ripped a couple of days ago was ok. The auto was an '89 Jung-Hoo Lee. I've got a couple more hobby jumbos on the way, but I wish I'd spent the money from the hobbies on hangers.
That auto is pretty solid at least! Def could have done much worse
When ordering from fanatics buy their monster boxes. They load them since Fanatics owns everything.
I bought 3 Bowman blasters yesterday at Target and 1 had Agustin Ramirez/99 1st auto. The second had a /99 Termarr Johnson and rookie card /299 the 3rd box was mediocre. So I think it's just hit or miss. Not necessarily waves.

The Blues are crazy hard to tell. They should simply number them. Another great rip and warning to avoid the Bowman Blasters if they restock. My local WalMart section is so tiny, to have any S2, they better not restock Bowman. We only got one round of Topps Chrome Platinum. Luckily, I've ordered some hangers from Best Buy and a few Megas from Target. The Megas come tomorrow, looking forward to them. Have you done Megas vs Blasters or Hangers? 100 bucks each would probably end with disaster for Megas...
I have some megas coming but only doing a couple! I’m excited for them as well. But I’m SUPER excited for fanatics blasters
@westernnycards yeah those are killers just because an aqua in every pack just increases your odds of a good one. I got my only Elly parallel (purple holo) out of my last pack of my 2nd of 2. Made me gamble on 4 more at an inflated price. Decent, mainly for the aquas. Good luck with the Megas!

I still think that 2023 Topps Chrome Platinum is best set for the year. Tons of numbered cards and on card autos still buying it. No inserts!

I opened 3 Bowman blasters today and got 5 number cards different varieties. And a bunch of good firsts. Comes down to luck the way i see it.

Dont think my area got the first wave of bowman. These look like some of the blasters i picked up. Still haven't found series 2 here yet either. But in my quest i found a 23 update hanger and pulled a Volpe Home Field Advantage. So the quest hasn't been in vain. Lol

For series 2, topps announced short prints for Chourio, Langford, Merrill and Holiday. So if you see those guys those are short prints!

my series 2 luck has been terrible, opened about 10 blasters and have only gotten an orange crackle card and 1 /50 umbrella background

I recently ripped topps 2024 series 1 and got Sonny gray 1989 card and it was numbered 87/89 and it looked just like base card and I’m not really sure what the difference is
Is it Heritage type stock? Like a different paper?
@@westernnycards It is I just didn’t think of that since I have a vintage stock of a base card and it’s numbered out of /99 instead of /89 and the topps symbol one it isn’t like the the vintage card

I just opened a hobby box of series 2, and it was atrocious. Two numbered cards out of 500, to the city cards to around the field cards and a relic of seiya Suzuki. Not great

How do I tell what a short print is
If you see Wyatt Langford, Jackson Chourio, Jackson Merrill or Jackson Holliday mixed in with base cards then those are short prints
@@westernnycards are they with the hits or backwards? Also, do you know if Topps stamped the front of the 1st off the line for each card? It was painful looking at the back of series 1 😂😂
@@derekpullum3214 lol I haven’t seen one with a stamp yet, and Topps made no announcements from what I’ve seen. The short prints I’ve pulled have been near the hits but not turned around

This is exactly how last year went also. IMO, It’s definitely done intentionally…..RUclipser’s hype the first wave with all the hits, then when the “working man” jumps in the second wave is full of garbage and duplicates in the same box. Topps knows what they are doing and using RUclipsrs to drive their sales.
Well they definitely don’t know who I am lol but it’s not just youtubers, everyone gets big hits early!
I totally agree, my friend. I'm finished with ripping, as it's become no fun for me, and a waste of money. I collect for fun, not to make money. I work too hard to throw it away on a big scam.
Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about RUclipsrs, or any specific person, I was talking about the hobby in general.

Sometimes I think it would be fun to stop ripping on a GREAT card, but a great card just makes me want to buy more. Ending in flames helps it really end, lol.
