Good... I'm NOT going completely insane! When you got to the George Washington bath tub at the start I thought that it was de ja vu... then when you were flicking through those Life magazines I thought I was going INSANE! A quick look at the pinned comments confirms my mind is in tact, even if my sanity is lacking! 😀
I dont know how the you tube algorithm waited so long to present this show to me?... everything i do is cardboard related. 5 days since i found this show and i cant get enough of it.
It’s equal to or the shows they’ve aired on cable the last 15-25 years. I’d say better since they can do things their way and not add all that ridiculous drama or editing the episodes into some kind of monstrosity.
I feel like this would have been a huge show on the History Channel back in the day. It’s that good. I randomly typed in “old baseball collections” and found your channel. I don’t even watch baseball. I collected baseball cards like every other kid, but I love these types of stories. I’m drawn to them - the emotions, the history, the tension between seller and collector. It’s really cool. I just watched three of your videos. Good stuff.
I hear ya. The History Channel would’ve edited it in a way to maximize drama or bad behavior. Anything possible to add drama. These folks going out on their own making these episodes makes this stuff far superior than anything these cable networks peddle.
Incredibly so fortunate to relive these memories with the family.Just by listening to them speaking so highly of the person he was, to whom they have become speaks volume of who he was to them and their upbringing definitely shows in the them al daughters and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. You can tell that all of his collection is a memory of a time a place a moment that will live forever in those who shared the journey with him. WOW what a fantastic collection of so many wonderful items, yet every item has a story to be told and shared. Thank you for sharing and love these videos & content. From Perth Western Australia.
Being raised in and currently living in WV, I love that you received such warm hospitality from fellow West Virginian's. That hospitality represents who we are as a state.❤
Crazy rewatching this video because after watching the 1st one I stopped at Berkeley Springs with my family on a family road trip and had such a great time. It’s a little gem up in WV on our way to Ohio! Haha so that’s for giving some attention to that town and it’s fun to explore. This is one of the best episodes for sure, true collector and you honored his life and family very well! Thanks again y’all!
This is the first video that I've seen from your channel. Absolutely love you guys and really appreciate the respect that you showed to this family and to this collection. This is by far the best video of this kind that I've ever seen. God bless you guys and this family!!
I don't think I could ever part ways with my cards.. I was a 90s kid so most is junk wax but I loved it so much. I don't really have anything special but collecting them reminds me of where I was for some of my cards. Like a lot of people I started back in the past 3 years and sold my first card 1 year ago and it was hard to do even though it was a newer card. What a great collection and a great gift to give his family.
When I saw 56 minutes I was by so long. But at the 50 min mark I was really sad it wasn’t another 50 min. You guys appear to be some of the most genuine guys out there.
Vast and diverse collection of everything....I can't imagine the amount of time and money he spent. And it doesn't sound like he sold anything, just buy buy buy
I'm enjoying your show, literally watching it as I'm working on some of my tokenized crypto projects. I always loved collecting, I started collecting all the cards I could never get and always wanted and starting amassing a collection of PSA cards in 2014. I sold them off before 2020 at a profit but nothing close to what they are worth now. Just for reference, I keep all purchases on a spreadsheet. I have a purchase for a Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey PSA 3 for $1685 in August of 2015. I sold that card for $4000 several years later. I just looked and last sale is around $22,000. I'm actually inspired to get back into the hobby.
Awesome video and experience watching this. Best content on RUclips . Mike is a great addition , hope you continue to work with other people in the hobby as well.
Awesome video i remember when i was young got a 57 Topps Ernie Banks for $1.00 but i was grounded from collecting and this guy in Wonder Lake Illinois had it all Babe Jackie Lou and Mantles for cheap...I still kick myself in the ass till this day that was 1988 now it is 2024
I keep my collection to Chicago Cubs only. One of the first purchases I made was a 19th century cabinet card/photo of a baseball team having a picnic after a game, a really cool piece that was not Cubs related. After buying that I said this is a rabbit hole I cant afford to go down and have kept it Cubs from then on. This guy collected pre Ebay, Kudos to him for some amazing finds.
what a amazing collection, I got at least 50,000 plus my self, more newer cards ,I do got some 50s card plus 80s Jordan magic bird some nice luka,I got baseball basketball football pokemon, you guys got a good show thank you I injoy watching, God bless 🙌
Hope the family receives all the benefits of the hard work of their grandfather. Looking forward to see the grades and the sale info. Very well done, super impressive. Good luck selling all these.
This story is the story of my life the past 20 years or so and my family doesn’t understand it. But I view everything exactly as this guy did. II can walk thru my house or sheds obviously insulated big boy sheds not quite buildings and just point out $1000 of dollars worth of stuff. From vintage t-shirts, jerseys and sneakers to cards and toys. Video games and so on. My wife and kids look at most like junk and clutter but one day they will be pleasantly surprised
I’d love the excitement of seeing something like this for the first time and the feeling you get before diving in. So awesome to have that experience. Then I’m sure the over stimulation kicks in 🤣 Then reality sets in for you to realize you are never going through all of that LOL
Should start a streaming service on whatnot and basically 24/7 stream like KK sportscards does. Think that would be great for you guys cause definitely have the inventory to do non stop $1 start auctions and majority of the time I've noticed they sell close to comps. Keep the big big cards but all those "bulk" still worth more that $1 is the best route cause will move super quick 1k plus cards a day sold.
guys, I love the content. I dont have the time to watch 40 mins to an hour of content. You have a lot of things here, can you cut down to shorts or reels so we can see the highlights? Would probably get you a lot more views also.
This is a remastered episode from 2022. We combined two episodes and tightened up the edit for a new experience. Brand new episode coming in July!
LOVE this! ❤️🇺🇸
I was just thinking I seen that episode before until I just seen your comment. I love your videos. Good luck treasure hunting.

Can't wait for a Part 2 or will there be a Part 2?
I dont know how the you tube algorithm waited so long to present this show to me?... everything i do is cardboard related. 5 days since i found this show and i cant get enough of it.
I agree all I do is search and watch card stuff everyday and I'm just watching all the videos this week lol I'm hooked
It’s equal to or the shows they’ve aired on cable the last 15-25 years. I’d say better since they can do things their way and not add all that ridiculous drama or editing the episodes into some kind of monstrosity.
THIS has to BE your best vid you've EVER done....and yes, I'm a harsh critic..... Really, really, really well done. Impressive gents...impressive.

West Virginia is completely underrated, but I'm good with that, keep it more private that way
This is an episode I am glad I spent the time to watch again. Thanks for doing this again. It wowed me again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My favorite episode! It would have been so cool to hear John’s stories. I’m definitely going to start documenting the stories of how I got my cards.
This should be a show on the History channel. It’s so well put together!

Nice! We’re in Northern Virginia (Fairfax). Went to that card shop in Winchester last year while there for a baseball tourney.
I may be biased but this is still my favorite episode.
Can’t wait for an update video of what the big hitters graded at, this looks super fun and I’m sure the family appreciates your help
Pretty much every town in WV has those random landmarks and weird stores with nice people. Just a calming vibe. WV underrated...and CHEAP! nice vid
